I thought they did a really good job with the power scales in that fight. The three newest kage got basically one-shotted, Gaara held out a little longer, and Naruto and Sasuke fought on even terms. As a non-power-scaling casual, that all seemed pretty appropriate.

We need to appreciate how decades of peak moments are packed in this one fight: - （vs Haku) Sasuke uses feet chakra to stick and throw sword - （vs Zabuza) Sasuke’s fuma-shuriken + Naruto transformation into shuriken to attack from behind - Shuriken shadow clone (first used by 3rd Hokage) + Sasuke’s wire control (Itachi vs Sasuke) + Chidori - Naruto’s uppercut from underground (vs Neji) - Naruto’s rasen-shuriken transformation vs pain (except is Sasuke transforming) - Biju mode + Susanoo armor/sword Really shows how they’ve grown from young age to the legends they are now with their “traditional” moves all upgraded! i really can’t say much right now, but all the questions will be answered later. Oh, and about Bee remember, he’s an octopus he can cut off parts of himself, just like he did when Sasuke tried to capture him in Naruto Shippuden. Oh and i wanna add on the fact that boruto can literally produce rasengan with one hand right away 😂 well, two hands without shadow clones to help and he added lightning chakra nature to the rassengan unconsciously at that aged created a whole new different style of rasengan, Naruto had to work really hard to create a different version of rasengan (the rasenshuriken) boruto out here doing it without even trying lol. About what happened between Boruto and Momoshiki, Sasuke noticed it because of his Rinnegan. I’m not sure if he’s told Naruto yet, but he probably asked Boruto not to mention it to anyone, at least for the time being. If you skip the anime canon and go straight to the manga canon, the story picks up right where it left off. But if you choose to watch the anime canon first, you’ll have to wait for those unanswered questions to be resolved.

Don't worry, everything will be explained! As far as Bee, it's already been established that he can slip away in a tentacle so it's implied that he did like just like against Sasuke and in the war. About 80 episodes until the next 4 manga canon episodes so you'll have to wait for a lot of those immediate questions!

To this day this still stands as one of the best animated fights of the whole Narutoverse. As much as I prefer OG Naruto and Shippuden over Boruto, that fighting sequence had everything. Peak animation, such a great choregraphy with the taijutsu parts and every known Sasuke + Naruto combinations. It's up there with the two Naruto vs Sasuke fights at the Valley of the end, Obito vs Kakashi and the Rock Lee vs Gaara one Absolute Cinema ✋​​😏​🤚

The vanishing rasengan was actually hinted to earlier when boruto was showing sasuke his rasengan during training, boruto threw it and it disappeared but there was actually a sound effect of it landing on a tree that you two didnt notice, was waiting for this drop to point that out

The legendary episode 65. Animation was lit. So many OG Naruto & Shippuden vibes. Great throwback with Naruto and Sasuke using the same move on Momoshiki like they did on Zabuza back in the day. My favorite moment was the rasengan scene where we see Jiraiya, Kushina, Neji, Minato, Sasuke & Hinata while showing Naruto in different stages of his life, gives me chills. Glad Naruto and Boruto are having some great development in their relationship. Funny how you guys say this felt like a movie. This is literally how Boruto the movie ends, it's basically the climax

Naruto was shocked because think about how long it took him to do it. You guys where comparing Boruto learning the rasangan to Naruto learning base rasangan but in reality Boruto learned how to not only do rasangan but also put chakra nature into it which is what kakashi taught Naruto which is how the rasan shuriken was made. And Boruto did it without having that part explained to him and bunchs of shadow clones to speed up the progress. And also no battle experience like Naruto. It really showed how much of a genius Boruto is.

Doubt yall will see this but this arc WAS the Boruto Movie that came out in 2015. The movie portion started when Sasuke first encountered the Otsutsuki. The movie also came out before the Bourto manga too, so they just decided to flesh out the charaters more by going back in time futher with the anime and manga.

Just some comments for your guy's information for these eps: 1: We've already seen the Vanishing Rasengan during the eps that boruto was training with sasuke. They just showed a flashback in these eps to remind people. 2: We know the name of Boruto's eye already. Toneri said it's the Jougan in a few scenes. 3: Momoshiki and Kinshiki aren't that strong individually until they fuse. Chojuro and Kurotsuchi were handling Kinshiki (only has speed and strength). Momoshiki only has hax, so you can't use ninjutsu. Darui and Gaara were handling him just fine as well. Only when you get Fused Momoshiki is he strong because each one covers for each other's weaknesses, so you're fighting a two-in-one. 4: But I agree with Ron overall on the powerscaling. Boruto has terrible, terrible powerscaling. I'd say focus on the story primarily if you want to enjoy the show. Just one egregarious example of bad powerscaling is how Boruto countered Fused Momoshiki's attack while the four kage got one shot by him. There's a lot more plot convenience with the powers and characters in this show than even Shippuden.

Kaguya tanked 9 Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken like it was nothing while Fused Momoshiki got taken out by a single giant Rasengan that Jiraiya could do. By claiming Fused Momoshiki is stronger than Kaguya, you're essentially claiming that an attack from Jiraiya is stronger than an attack from sage of six paths mode naruto from the Shippuden war arc. Also I think base momoshiki is pretty weak. If you genuinely believe base momoshiki is stronger than Kaguya, then darui and gaara have to have became stronger than war arc Shippuden Naruto and Sasuke duo from just training alone because darui and gaara were stalemating base momoshiki while war arc Naruto and sasuke would lose to kaguya without Kakashi, Obito, and Sakura's help . Doesn't make sense at all imo but you can believe what you want. This is why Boruto powerscaling and things happening for the plot are way worse than the average show. You honestly just have to suspend disbelief and enjoy the story or it will be a painful experience. I blame the Boruto writers though and not the fans for this bad powerscaling though. I know Shippuden wasn't perfect but it was way better than Boruto for this.

I agree with both of you to an extent. Boruto just has more natural talent than naruto plus the show implies that having parents/grandparents that can teach you (look at the other kids in the Leaf) or that watch over your training is very helpful. Also it seems like the Academy in Boruto's era is more effective with training but maybe that's biased because we spend more time there in the show than in Naruto. But yeah the unconscious nature of adding lightning to the rasengan is just plain nonsensical. Naruto might be a Gary Sue, but less in comparison to Boruto. Boruto already has wind and lightning down, vanishing rasengan, natural talent, and higher consistent battle IQ or ingenuity. Naruto has his plot based intelligence feats at optimum times and then is portrayed as a dunce/goofball the rest of the time like the typical Shonen protag. Boruto is more consistently a genius

Also the giant rasengan that naruto gave boruto had no nature energy in it and it still worked. The real answer is that they gave Boruto a plot win while the kages got one-shotted. Based on this trash powerscaling: genin boruto > four kages lmao

To be fair Naruto was the one to build the rasengan, so in a way you can’t totally say that it was Boruto himself. At the same time I think you’re referring to when Momoshiki got on par in terms of power with his own bomb thing as the rasengan. On that we see Boruto use his Jougan which we still don’t know it’s full potential yet(I’m not a manga reader also I’m not trying to spoil anything) so my assumption is that Boruto really did overpower Momoshiki with the Jougan instinctively.

For Blast: With boruto's attack, I was just talking about the normal rasengan he used on momoshiki's ribs after boruto dodged momoshiki's rod thrust attack. At timestamp 40:03. I have no issues with the final naruto powered rasengan. That makes total sense.

They were all in the war, so they know what heights they have to reach, and although they aren’t six paths level, the show has told us time and time again that you do not just need strength to get an edge over your opponent.

It’s really not far fetched to believe these characters can hold their own. It’s already been established through Shikamaru and others that you don’t need just strength and hax abilities to overcome an opponent. These Kage fought in the most dangerous war in history and knew the levels they had to reach to be in a conversation. Although not Naruto and Sasuke level, they are strong enough to be support or else Sasuke wouldn’t have taken them. A lot of people miss the dichotomy this arc set up. If you over rely on these tools/chakra pills then your natural talent will take a hit when you have no ammo which is why Momoshiki was on the defensive initially instead of attacking before transforming. None of these Kages, nor Boruto performed a feat beyond reason

@gamergod, jougan is the reason why boruto was able to dodge Momo and hit him in the ribs. Jougan aka, the pure eye as of anime was able to have abilities of remaining 3 eyes. Opening portal (Rinnegan), chakra network and weak points (Byakugan), and opponent perception (sharingan).

@Bob No ohsutsuki is completely immune to ninjutsu. They are resistant. Even juubito, Kaguya, juubidara still get injured by normal ninjutsus, but very minimal. The one used on kinshiki was more of a sealing jutsu to stop his movements. The reason why the one Boruto uses to kill Momoshiki was effective is still a mystery. It has something to do with the jougan, and is yet to be answered completely.

The plot in Boruto is good. Boruto did not create that Rasengan; that was Naruto. His left eye (Jougan) seems to be very powerful, as we just saw. We just don't know its powers yet, and as Momoshiki said, "Beware of those blue eyes; they shall eventually take everything away from you." PEAK IFYKYK.

Naruto In base was keeping up with fused momo then in So6p Naruto clapped the shit out of him in taijutsu lol, and that's Naruto with 50% chakra who already protected the village, also sasuke stated that Naruto would've obliterated all of Momoshiki's attack if he wanted. Later in the series Naruto EVENTUALLY claps all of his opponents and you know that lol except for that one time(for obvious reasons) that I'm not gonna spoil. Naruto>>Fused momshiki and it's not even debatable according to the databook and manga(he claps him even harder in manga).
