I’ll mention it again here. As a manga reader, I highly recommend that after this arc you either switch to the remastered version of the next arc or One PACE, as Toei completely butchers the anime with bloated episodes that stretch with filler because they only adapt barely a chapter per episode while seasonal animes adapt 2-4chapyers per episode. Many struggle with the 500+ because Toei had to make major compromises and sacrificed the story quality in order to keep releasing weekly episodes. One pace cuts the anime into Manga Original content and takes out all the bloated added scenes that Toei adds to stretch this story - like extra comedy scenes, reaction scenes, running scenes, added filler dialogue etc- all of which more often than not really cheapens the story most of the time Some of the future arcs are legit unwatchable due to how much they drag it

Unwatchable is such a crazy exaggeration considering 99% of the fanbase (and most reactors) watched it that way lol. I do agree, though, that One Pace is definitely the way to go for those few arcs.

Majority of one piece’s fan base are manga readers, and many struggle to get into the anime for the very reason that it is unwatchable in later arcs.

Yeah, a lot of us are manga readers, for sure, but most of us have also watched the anime, and many others are anime exclusives. I’m definitely in favor of One Pace for those arcs that are really dragged out like FMI, PH, and DR but to call it unwatchable is just demonstrably untrue considering how much it is actually watched lol. It’s just a waaay too strong of word to use.

It’s not untrue it’s simply a subjective opinion that people have. If you disagree that’s fine , but I’m not lying to you when I express I simply find many of the arcs post timeskip unwatchable, it pains me to see how Toei butchers the story and the methods they use to extend it cheapens significantly the quality to the point of mediocrity while also making it painfully slow. And for many this is definitely unwatchable along with the fact that they also simply don’t have the time. One piece has over 700 episodes of pure bloated Toei filler. - which is factual when u do the maths. In one piece the episode count outnumbers the chapter counts for many arcs which should never happen. Most modern anime adapt 2-4 ch per episode. While Toei sometimes adapts less than 1 and fill the rest with extended scenes. If one piece had proper adaptation liek the Wit Stufio remake which is making east blue saga 25 episodes, the total number of episodes would not even exceed 400 as of now. 700 is rediculous and I deem that unwatchable

Now I’m even more confused because he literally said OP is now his favorite lol. And since I knew Naruto was his favorite, it stands to reason that OP overtook it? It’s not so much an assumption as a basic interpretation, I feel. Plus, he pretty much used those words in one of his JoJo vids. And I’m happy to hear it because as much as I love Naruto, One Piece is also my favorite anime so am happy to hear others share my enthusiasm for it. It’s no burn on Naruto 🤷🏽 I just was confused why you brought the Naruto v One Piece war to my comment. I only brought Naruto up because it was his favorite anime. If it had been any other anime, I would have referred to that title.

Felt I've been pretty direct with everything I said but hopefully this comment brings you no confusion Key words, you said "I feel" = an assumption. Again will prove why below Key words, you said "One piece is ALSO my favorite anime" you love OP and Naruto. HxH is my favorite and I watched it after Bleach. That doesn't mean HxH overtook Bleach for me. You can have more than one favorite anime. The difference comes in if you say "this *insert anime* is my favorite of all time." Ron never said OP is his favorite "of all time" nor did he say he has it over Naruto. Now if he says that one day which ik y'all want so bad, then congrats. My bad if you meant no ill intent bc i see you said you meant no burn to Naruto. It's just the OP fandom is known to be very toxic as I've dealt with them a lot. As you can see every other reaction now that we're 500 eps in OP is now Ron's favorite and they want OP to dethrone Naruto so bad and its numerous comments shading Naruto. lol this is such a bizarre discussion, dude. As I said, my comment was meant as a harmless expression of surprise. I said “also” my favorite anime meaning like it is also Ron’s favorite. When I hear people say “my favorite anime is” I tend to think singular otherwise it would be “my favorite animes are”. But sure, maybe I’m wrong. While I’m not a fan of anyone crapping on another anime like Naruto and OP fans sometimes do to each other, getting defensive over such tame comments doesn’t really help the situation either. But I agree, we can agree to disagree on a topic that ultimately doesn’t matter in the least anyway. We are at this point arguing semantics over which children’s show is the favorite of a stranger lol. As a OP and Naruto fan, I’d be happy for anyone to love them both equally.
