I think when it comes to the captains strength vs the espada, definitely the lower rank espada are out classed BUT the captains had favorable match ups for these fights.

When Invasion played as Mayuri released his bankai. 🔥 You know shit's bout to be real when Invasion comes on. Mayuri really look like he could be a villain lol. Michelle wasn't too far off with the Banzai meaning. Its basically a battle cry/cheer. And nah Byakuya isn't a healer

No matter how strong I am as an anime character...I just would not fight Mayuri. Id rather my chances with Orochimarru because with him at least you know what kind of weird ur dealing with. Mayuri is just on a whole other level of weird!

In fact, his Resurreccion name is Brujeria, which means "witchcraft" in Spanish - Zommari does have a point, of course, as humans we wouldn't agree with something that eats us, however, that doesn't change the truth. We as humans eat other animals, yet we don't consider ourselves evil, so it'd be hypocritical to argue the same of Hollows; they are simply following their nature. Nonetheless, Byakuya's response is good in that it's not always about good and evil, justice or injustice; some things are personal, and when it comes to Shinigami, they are technically acting not from a place of righteousness, but rather they act to maintain the balance.

You guys are almost right. It’s the top 4 Espada that are on an entire different level than the rest. So Ulquiorra is included up there. Then there’s Aizen, Gin, Tosen. Still got a lot of major threats that are way above Espada 10-5 And you gotta remember, Byakuya and Mayuri beating #7 and #8 rn. So the weakest end of them. Someone like Grimmjow or #5 would be a MUCH greater threat

Please consider doing triple drops if the eps have long recaps, bleach often exaggerates with them leaving about 10-15 mins of actual content without the recap,opening,ending,etc..

Most captain fights shown are vs Espada #5–#8. The top end (#4–#1) is a different animal. Also, don’t sleep on Nnoitra he’s the most defensively strong Espada. That’s why, even though Nel controlled the pace, her clean hits didn’t actually damage him; the only real damage he took was when she reflected his own cero back at him. But yeah the captains are still cold Kenpachi and Byakuya are monsters, and Mayuri with prep time is scary give him a lab, a target, and five minutes, and he’ll turn your soul into a science project.

One Piece is the biggest abuser of recaps out of the big 3. That's why it's so unnecessarily long 5-8 min recap each episode. If you compare Naruto and One Piece at 700 chapters adapted to anime then Naruto has about 425 canon episodes and One Piece has about 534 canon episodes. I love One Piece but that's my biggest gripe with it
