Oda STARTED writing One Piece with the ending already in mind. His editors know how One Piece ends. Also, something I love about Oda is his world building. Here we see other Island Whales, on the OTHER side of the Red Line, who also have scars like Laboon. How did they cross the Red Line, if they even crossed it? Are the scars also from ramming the Red Line or do Island Whales just like to ram stuff? And if so, why are they so antagonistic towards the Red Line? Let's not forget the Red Line essentially keeps the whole world divided, and the only ones we know who have absolute control over it are the World Government and Celestial Dragons... Hmmm... Another detail to remember is that the Red Line and Mary Geoise sit RIGHT ABOVE Fishman Island. Combine that with the prophecy of Luffy destroying FMI one day, and you've got some pretty interesting food for thought.

Season One just ended because One Piece would upload weekly almost every week and now the anime is switching that format. To the typical seasonal format other anime’s do. So taking month long breaks and then uploading a whole season. And as for the ending, I believe Oda does know the ending of One Piece and he has told a few of his editors. So there are a select group of trusted people that know how the one piece ends.

Oda has had the final saga/arc decided since the beginning of one piece. Ever since the early 2000’s he’s been hyping up how excited he’s been to write it and how the real story of One Piece begins in the final saga.

If I'm not mistaken, all of Oda's editors know the ending of One Piece. Oda tells them once they start to work with him. I think Oda's mentioned that he already had the ending in his mind since the beginning and it hasn't changed at all since then.

It's just a joke that season 1 has ended. One Piece has always been a weekly anime, like Naruto, Bleach and Dragon Ball were. There weren't really seasons, it was just a continuous show that aired every week, but since Toei are SHIFTING to a seasonal format, technically the first 1100 episodes are season 1. Don't take it too seriously 😅💯

Fun fact about Laboon/Island whales they are inspired by sperm whales who also have a lot of scars cus one of their main food sources are giant squids. And so insane how OP was on the air for 26 years straight. no breaks but hoping the seasonal change fixes some pacing issues. And Oda has told some of his editors the ending of OP and what the OP is incase anything were to happen to him.

All of oda's editors (past and present), close friends, and some directors know what the ending of one piece, apparently its like an initiation. But then again, no author would be able to get the story to that point like oda can.

We bout to reach season 16 and season 1 was all the way back in East Blue saga lmao and so I looked it up and noticed that they're changing it to seasonal and I'm like oh that's what Ron was talking about. I was mad confused at first. It being a joke makes sense. Longest season 1 in history lol

Yeah One Piece has ending already I know that so far,i don't think its a true ending but maybe like Michelle said since Oda already revealed it to his trusted team members only.And 1 more thing I remember reading about a dying kid wrote a goodbye post to all nakamas that he one thing he regret missing is One Piece ending.So out of good gestures Oda met him and revealed the ending only to him alone..so he died with carrying a One Piece ending with him. (I didn't check the source of this but high probably its a fake or fan fict.)

Yeah, it's just a technicality. For One Piece to now be a seasonal anime in April, it means a new season is starting which also means a season ended 😂

Its people speculating, and if a discussion on potential endings they are many aware of spoilers from the manga and ahead of people in the anime. And people in the anime ahead of this current episode could also spoil it for others not caught up to the anime. Someone also discussed Oda mentioning to some kid the ending, and safe to say I quickly turned away from that comment. Now, we both hopefully have better things to do.

Nerdge moment, whales actually very commonly have scars from bumping into things and fights with each other, as well as attacks from various other sea creatures and parasites e.g. barnacles. And since whales live for a decently long time, its actually much weirder to see a whale without scars.
