This is my favorite episode of the arc, personally

Blue buddy

Giriko vs kenpachi best paced fight in bleach just joking

Raden

Thats why Kenpachi the 🐐, neg diff split him🤣🤣

Langdon

So goooood

Akimitzu

2 more weeks guys! then its TYBW... HOLY. Also, Ron wait until TYBW for you to choose a Kenny tat :) trust me.

Usgaroth

If you want Kenpachi tattoo, wait until the end of TYBW.

vaughn

Honestly this is probably my biggest gripe with Bleach. I just wish there was more sacrifice/hardship than everyone just putting their spiritual pressure into a sword. It was too easy and feels like it undermines the whole sacrifice that was made and all the work he put into his new power.

Brandocommando

Rukia Your new lieutenant of squad 13 (she has the badge on her arm to prove it)

TaterThots

The interesting thing I find about Kenpachi is that he actually is a lot nicer and merciful than he looks. When you look back at his fight against Nnoitra in the Arrancar Arc, when Kenpachi won the fight, he was willing to spare his actual enemy. He only killed him cause Nnoitra wanted to die in battle but when you see him against the old man, he killed him without second thought. I'd like to think this is because they were messing with Ichigo that Kenpachi took it personal and didn't show the mercy he did with Nnoitra.

Pandrix

It doesn’t because his fullbring is fused with his soul reaper powers, Ichigo was literally suffering to regain it if that’s not hardship idk what you’d call it. How else would he get his soul reaper powers back?

Erik Matteus

question for bleach knowers: is there a reason Urahara waited 2 years to make ichigo a sword specifically to rejuvenate his soul reaper powers, when the main emphasis of his final getsuga tenshou was that ichigo was going to slowly (and permanently) lose his soul reaper connection?

victoria t

Ichigo splitting the clouds in the sky is a reference to the literal meaning of his Bankai - “getsuga tensho” means “moon-fang heaven-piercer”

Dwayne Townsend

I remember crying on this episode I can’t lie .. first time I saw ichigo hopeless

Volt

The hardship isn't through the difficulty of the action, it was getting them to the point where they would actually do that for him aka the Soul Society Arc and the entire Arrancar Saga. Rukia was literally going to be executed for transferring their powers to Ichigo and Yamamoto refused to budge on that even when being talked to by Shunsui and Ukitake. Now he's commanding nearly the entire Gotei 13 to do it, this gift from the SS was born because of Ichigos past efforts

Kayso

Squad pulled up. 🔥 Kenpachi and everyone else looks so fire, love the new designs. Agree with Ron, the scene with Ichigo crying reminded me a lot of Luffy. It's hard seeing Ichigo at his lowest after losing everything. Also this arc absolutely should not be skipped its 100% canon whoever skips this would miss crucial character development for Ichigo, how he regained his power etc

Kayso

Ron's comment about Ichigo being able to see Rukia - Ichigo was always able to see spirits even before he got his powers from Rukia (also was able to see Rukia herself) so its not surprising he was able to see her once she stabbed him

Donnie S

The trailer for TYBW pretty hype, not sure if yall be doing a little reaction to it before starting TYBW.

Dwayne Townsend

The loyalty of the soul society came within those fillers lowkey highkey ichigo was really out there working plus the aizen victory

CaptainCameron

Hydrogen Bomb vs Coughing Baby scenario

Ahmad

cant wait for TYBW episodes 9 and 10 lol

Donnie S

I guess you can say in a way yes on what tybw will be about, but I feel ep1 will reveal the whole arc. If anything, watching the trailer after their normal double drop might be a better choice.

Volt

There's major spoilers in there for every cour not worth it to watch

Volt

It's never stated directly but earlier in the Fullbring arc he does basically ask Karin if she wants Ichigo get his powers back in a roundabout way and she says no. Isshin disappears afterwards to help Urahara with the sword and Urahara asks for confirmation, Isshin says to stop asking him over and over which means Isshin is the one who came telling Urahara to do it probably because he sensed Ginjo or maybe because of _______ ifykyk.

Kefka Palazzo

Bleach is awesome. Tite Kubo is honestly a legend imo. Looking forward to your next reaction!

Draken of Toman

Next Wednesday April 1st is TYBW!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩

izi

Did ron said if bleach is in his top 3 anime?

Weyard Wiz

Might go top2 or top1 with tybw 😂

TaterThots

They mentioned that TYBW ep 1-13 will have 3 triple drops so I'm sure 8, 9, 10 will be together

taymone

the emotional breakdown of ichigo followed by the pull up of the century made me cry the first time i saw it ngl

kidBuku

What a long road it has been. TYBW next week. Very hype. Even still, I loved this arc.

Weyard Wiz

11:45 ichiGOAT 😭🥀🥀 40:59 back in the day people searched on YouTube "waste of time" and they got kenpachi vs giriko as first result 😂😂

Weyard Wiz

😭😭😂😂😂😂

Ultimate Winner

i mean I would NEVER skip a canon arc. but you can watch the next arc without watching this one technically. The only thing I would say you are missing is Ichigo randomly having his power back. I do think Ichigo development here is subtly shown through TYBW. But you can't skip Aizen/Soul Society. Those arcs are literally unskippable for Bleach. So in that sense, yes and no. yes, that arc is less important to TYBW than the others. but you miss subtle ichigo development, so no at the same time?

lordjaggi

the closer tybw gets the harder it is to wait :_(. They think they know what peak bleach is yet. We endured for over a decade, was worth it.

DragonSinOfWrath

The change to the intro looks amazing. With the bar at the bottom too :p

lordjaggi

Quad drop and start tybw monday xD

ra-TH_

You guys are the reason I have a patreon.. I also subbed way back PRAYING that you would do Bleach and eventually TYBW.. you have no idea what peak is coming. I am so hyped.

Nick is Rad

Agree with a few who mentioned it here already. I appreciate hell out of that bar. I don't generally skip any of the small talk, fwiw, but it's nice to have a gauge of how long it's going to go on.

IcoNIC

At least yall get to go straight into TYBW we had to wait 10 YEARS 😭. Im so excited for yall!!!!!

Ultimate Winner

gonna be straight up with you. Ichigo power prob wouldn't increase or be better even if he got his fullbring back. It's just weaker version of Soul Reaper powers.

Tingz

Lmaoo na hitsugaya sounds the same n he didnt get taller. His hair just a lil different and he got the scarf

Tingz

Yeah for this discord bleach discussion can we PLEASE get Ron to say getsuga tensho correctly its no way we nearly at TYBW and he still cant say it 💀😂

Patrone07

I don't know why anyone would even consider skipping this arc back then because it was literally all we had left for sooooo long must of been new bleach fans who skipped this arc just to get to TYBW. My personal opinion I think they did this arc really well I thought it was cool something different/Fresh

Sammy

I think a lot of the dislike for the Fullbring arc comes from how people experienced it back when it aired. The series went from the peak of the Aizen fight into a long stretch (almost a year) of filler, only to come back with a powerless Ichigo getting involved with completely new characters and weird abilities - and no beloved Soul Reapers. At least, that’s how it felt to me as a teen 🙈 I used to skip the arc entirely on rewatches. Only years later did I give it another chance and realised how good it actually is 😍 Younger me was a dumbdumb and didn't appreciate the different mystery thriller take on the series 😅 *hides in the box of shame* Btw, you didn’t notice the badge on Rukia’s arm 😉

Emil Kolev

We got the fullbringers for a warm up.

SkyesRain

those who skip this arc and are not all about this arc are complete dumb dumbs that's just a fact. this is one of the best arcs of the show and is canon and is integral to the story hence it being canon also integral to Ichigo's growth as a character

Erik Matteus

oh okay thanks. I was wondering why rukia would trick ichigo with a dramatic final goodbye if the sword involved her spiritual contribution meaning she had to have known ichigo was geting his powers back (but if this was a last minute thought then I guess it would make sense that she wouldn't say anything to him, since that would've been really messed up if she knew ahead of time). Or more realistically Urahara in his gigai form could have let ichigo know "hey actually I can fix your powers, I just need to get the permission from the old boss since it goes against tradition and I need time to gather everyone's contribution of spirit energy" instead of giving him mixed signals when he and ichigo's dad show up in that alley way at night.

Luna

Yoo that old man was creepier than I remember 🤣 the match ups lets gooo🔥🔥

Jonas Teigen

And people are actually out there skipping and shitting on this arc. That's the most shocking thing. I guess many people just don't like good writing, smh. It's easily a top 3 arc of Bleach, and extremely underrated. Episode 361 is also one of the best episodes in all of Bleach imo, everything about it was perfect.

Jens Mertens

Me as a foreigner: she red the manga. Me: 🫨 Ron: noo, that was sarcasm, she never red the manga. Me: so, is it sarcasm that she never red it?? 🤔 🤣

Byakuran

well i mean the entire ark is litterally pointless. it was all for the lead up of stabbing him with that sword which they could of done anyways the fullbring was litterally pointless. Never actually leveled up chat or orihime and was useless to ichigo. Its almost as if that part of the story was filler.

Byakuran

it just felt pointless. Like a filler. You could take away the entire ark except the sword stab and still be set for tybw. Nothing else changed at all.

Just_a_guy

Definitely not the case bro. You're just not taking it in. This arc is phenomenal from a story standpoint and character growth, especially the soul society honoring Ichigo and the realization that Ichigo changed countless years of history. And the growth we see from byakuya in this arc is just amazing. Ichigo goes through so much in this arc and he's a better character because of it. This arc has more meaning than most anime arcs. Not to mention the art is beautiful, especially in the manga

znake

32:54 In case you don't know, in the manga, Orihime's parents were HORRIBLE. Both of them were alcoholics who physically abused her and her brother, and her mother was also a prostitute. Her brother protected her and ensured her safety. It got so bad at one point that her brother (Sora, who had just turned 18 years old) eventually decided that he had to take Orihime (who was 3 years old at the time) and leave in search of a better life. Sora raised Orihime all on his own for 9 years, and they found solace/comfort in each other. When Orihime was in middle school, Sora died in a car accident, their last interaction before he died being an argument over her snowflake hairpins (she didn’t want to wear them and called them childish, also told Sora that she hates him), which is why she wears them all the time now. After the car accident, 12 year old Orihime had to carry her brother's bloody corpse (her only real parental figure btw) to the Kurosaki Clinic on her own. She was left to deal with the immense and overwhelming grief all on her own; she rarely cried, though, because her parents used to beat her for it. Later on, she started making friends and forming connections outside of her brother, like Tatsuki, then her other friends from her friend group, then Ichigo, Sado, Uryū, etc etc. From then on, her life has gotten better and better (then the Sora turning into a hollow thing happened, but that was a good thing since she got closure, they got to say what they wanted to say to each other and she broke his curse). Even after all of this, she's still as vibrant, happy, and kind as she is. This is only her family-related backstory and trauma btw, she went through other stuff as well. The anime made her character seem so “dull” or “flat” IMO. Some people (anime-onlys) even find her annoying. There are more interesting and deeper things about her character and her relationship with Ichigo that I won’t go into right now. They removed a lot of (or pretty much all) scenes that are very important to her character, some being the things this comment is about, then scenes showing off her deep empathy and how smart she is, her being bullied, etc. Sorry for the long comment and tens of edits. I hope it’s somewhat readable

idkwhy

You have already got the answer in another thread. The problem is with you — You just can't understand this arc, or you don't even want to try.

Sammy

I wouldn’t call the arc pointless 👀 I’m not even a huge fan of the Fullbringer concept itself - I still think their powers are kind of weird/cheesy - but it did give us finally answers about what Orihime’s and Chad’s abilities actually are. I think the core of the arc is Ichigo’s character. He finally gets the normal life he thought he wanted, only to realize he actually needs his powers because protecting the people close to him is part of who he is. So even if it doesn’t change much plot-wise going into TYBW, it adds a lot to his development ✌️

Cody Peevy

Full bring comes back up, it’s hugely important towards the end of the series and gets even more important in CFYOW. This arc isn’t pointless at all and added much needed depth to Ichigo

SkyesRain

@Byakuran BIGGEST DUMB DUMB 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

SkyesRain

@Cody Peevy for real complete moron he has no brain cells. also how are they to freaking even know how Ichigo gets his powers back like kinda crucial how the hell is that pointless the dude is stupid AF 🤣🤣🤣

Mike Hopper

Bleach stopped airing for a decade with no promise of a return. For those who don't read the manga like myself, the Aizen arc felt like a good place to end the series. Thankfully we have TYBW now so there's no reason to skip Fullbring

john Alexander

Not going to lie I didn't like this arc but watching it again with you guys, it's not so bad. The middle was "training" part must have turned me off but the last few episodes have been good

GodsFury101

i cant stress how excited i am for you guys to get into the Thousand Year Blood War Arc! we had to wait 10 years for it and im telling you it was totally worth the wait, but you will be smoothly transitioning straight into it and i cant wait!

Masked Void

[Tidbits] - Loved this episode when it first aired, Ichigo throughout this arc has fallen to the idea that he "needs" his power to protect people, that without power he's nothing...the scene where he breaks the chains is important because it shows that ichigo can be confident in himself even when he has no special powers, ichigo needed to understand that he's always been a protector even before he was a shinigami, hollow or fullbringer. it's a simple lesson, but it's one that many people struggle with...you matter and have importance whether you're special or not. - Ginjo's reaction to Ichigo ability to stand confidently after being betrayed makes more sense when we learn more about what actually happened to Ginjo in the novels (which unfortunately wasn't done in the manga or the anime) - Ginjo isn't just a Human/Fullbringer, he's a hybrid like Ichigo. So what's interesting is that we never get to see what Ginjo's normal Shinigami powers are, we only see his Fullbring or his Merged Fullbring. - Many people Ignore Ginjo seemingly being somewhat caring in light of what he's doing to Ichigo. After he took his powers he didn't let Tsukishima just kill him he said "leave him" and when Tsukishima was using his powers, making Orihime and Chad almost go crazy, Ginjo criticizes him for doing so. Basically it seems that he isn't trying to kill them, rather he simply wanted Ichigo's power. - The anime never explains it as in depth, but Giriko (the one Kenpachi one-shots) is a sick bastard, it's why he was so gleeful about getting Ichigo's powers whereas someone like Riruka seemed against it. But for some context Giriko 1st tested his fullbring when he awakened it by killing his wife..... - Sidenote: There is more to Ichigo's power which likely played a part in why Ginjo couldn't fully take his powers. - Sidenote 2: Ichigo splitting the rain and cutting the clouds out of the sky to show the glowing white crescent moon is symbolically amazing. this is even cooler when you recall the "Getsuga Tensho" means "Moon-Fang Heaven Piercer". -Sidenote 3: The fullbrings are more dangerous than you might think. While they may not be directly as capable as high tier Captain, there abilities can be terrifying, there kinda like hax. (Some of them) when used right can be devastating [Reposted]

Desolation Row

Does anyone know if they are doing a reaction video to all openings after finishing this arc?

Levelingup

lol glad yall enjoying this arc this arc is so slept on it’s criminal

Levelingup

Ichigo head tilt after ginjo said his power is nothing to be surprised about than ichigo g checks him lol love that part

shlumlord

I loved the PULL UP

Ilsuk Yang

The character development for Yamamoto, man. Went from going after Rukia for breaking that law, now he orders all captains and lieutenants (plus, some volunteers) to commit the same crime because they owe Ichigo a debt. Giriko stood no chance against Kenpachi lol
