According to your starting post introductory discuss i will agree. Ichigo is the most relatable written and human-ish from all the big 3 and the generations they birthed. He is just a regular not regular dude that wants to do whats right. He has no grand goals of becoming some sort of king or hokage, he doesnt do it for the final reward of the journey, he just does it cus he is able and can do, he protects and saves people by getting stronger just because of his sense of duty and his unwavering kindness towards the rest of humanity. While he is a kid infront of the rest shinigamis and surely a kid he ironically is exactly what Aizen was hoping to be himself, which is to see the world for what it COULD be and not for what it is as of right now. He is the most positive masculine protagonist in my humble opinion. He is the kind of man that i would want me or my future daughters to marry.

I love Bleach, and it was one of the few manga I actually decided to read because we had no idea if or when the anime would ever return. I really enjoyed this arc at the beginning, but later onā€”just my opinionā€”I ended up disappointed. Some things felt forced and certain plot points pushed it too far for me, to the point where I dropped it and didnā€™t finish. I figured that if it ever got an anime, Iā€™d give it another shotā€”maybe with music and animation it would feel better... That said, Iā€™m really excited to experience this animation for the first time with you all, and at some point not knowing whatā€™s coming next. Iā€™m hyped! Ichigo is my favourite protagonist because his journey is rooted in very human experiences. Unlike many shonen leads who chase titles like "Hokage" or "King of the Pirates," Ichigoā€™s core motivation is the internal reconciliation of grief and the protection of his loved ones. From the start of the series, he was burdened by the guilt of his motherā€™s death, placing him in a constant state of emotional evolution making his character arc incredibly relatable; he isn't just fighting monsters, heā€™s fighting the depression and "emotional pain" that stem from his past. His evolution is a process of self-acceptance, where he learns to embrace even the "Hollow within" to become the person his purpose needs.

Also, even tho the manga was rushed in the later portion but since you havent seen the anime adaptation i will tell you that there has been so many new additions its insane what kubo has done to modify it and also the last part in july will be 50% anime original, kubo himself said there will even be a new character never ever seen in the manga.

Studio Pierrot also fixed a lot of the pacing issues in TYBW. OG Bleach had drawn out pacing and filler scenes which dragged out a lot of the manga fights (studio P did the same thing with Naruto and other shows). They fixed this in TYBW so the pacing is much faster now

i really feel that Bleach is gonna sky rocket even higher in Ron and Michelle's tier list šŸ‘šŸ‘ and i completely agree Ichigo is the best MC in anime, i don't really love MC's much and they never really are my fav character, but with Ichigo there is something different about him has been the only MC that iv actually felt more for, he really is the coolest MC and just so different and like Ron said the most relatable. as for the art and animation when first saw the 1st episode i was blown away by how movie quality it's so damn good. the pull up of the gang and bringing back Number One as Ichigo walked on screen i lost it i got so hyped and so happy as a Bleach fan. i think we all would want to say Love You Kubo and Thank You Bleach fans Forever! ā¤ļøā¤ļøšŸ‘šŸ‘

I understand your point, but most people are saying this is the best arc and that itā€™s going to be amazing, which kind of ā€œleadsā€ them already. I donā€™t think my comment was anything specific or contained spoilers. It doesnā€™t mention anyone, unlike many comments saying a certain character will be your favorite or that youā€™ll understand someoneā€™s storyā€”those I find more problematic because, even if positive, they reveal where the highlights will be. And in the end, itā€™s a different experience anyway, so basically nothing I said is really relevant, aside from sharing an experience they wonā€™t have since theyā€™re not reading the manga as it was coming out. To clarify the timeline, there was a 17 month timeskip between Aizenā€™s defeat and the fullbring arc, but there isnā€™t really a timeskip between the fullbring arc and the TYBW arc. Itā€™s pretty much the next thing that happens.

When the manga came out and again when the anime came out, the community called what comprises ep2 the "Hollow-caust." Kubo clearly took inspiration from real-world conflicts.

I actually didnt even notice until just now, but at the very beginning when they thought they saw Ishida it was actually Ebern crushing one of those capsules the Ishida used at the very beginning when he challenged Ichigo to a duel of who could take out the most hollows! So that's actually why all those hollows showed up!!

The Quincy are in hell, they went into the ā€œshadows.ā€ Literally and figuratively. Will leave it at that, just wanted to be clear, this arc has nothing to do with hell, so you donā€™t have to confuse yourself with that.

Naruto and Luffy certainly have their own particular egos that make them aim high in life, but I think we know by now they don't/didn't chase those titles simply for the praise or glory that comes with it. "Hokage" and "Pirate King" are just the means in which they can finally achieve their deeper goals, "acceptance" and "total freedom" respectively. Concepts they devote their lives to chasing due to their past traumas as well. That being said your point on Ichigo still stands, he is fairly distinct from your average shonen MC.

To have a full experience, please watch always until the end, including the poem. There are also end screens sometimes that are crucial to watch. Episode 7 will have a special ending, so please watch that one also. And the poems are important also because they are super cryptic about the next episode. They are not spoilery. But it's fun to watch them and theorize about what they mean and how they tie up with the next episode. Also, a different character speaks the poem each time, so if you guess who that is based on voice, you can guess on which character they will focus in that next episode. There will be no previews on the next episode if you're worried about that, so you can watch the whole thing until the very end and nothing will be spoiled.

I think Quincy are based on German. I wouldn't say nazi. but if it was, then nazi honestly did think they were the good guy. They believe the end justify the means. kinda like another organization.....in this show. I am not saying that mindset is a good thing tho Anyway, its war. Shunsui said himself during Arrancar arc, "as soon as you start fighting, you are in the wrong either way" SOUL Society did wrong the quincy, whether or not you think quincy's response in this episode are justified. Soul Society took the first shot and tried exterminate them. Yes, quincy here are brutal, but lets not forget about soul society action. They never show any backstory or how Soul Society did it. Soul Society could have been straight up more brutral or "evil" than quincy are here. Am I missing something about Ichigo? ngl i dont see ichigo similiar to Zoro. Zoro is aurafarmer cause he is strong. Ichigo has aurafarming moment, but a biggest character trait is not badassery, but how vulnerable of a person he is. I feel like he aurafarm or badass moments that show he matured past a low point but isnt like Zoro or Kenpachi who are very confident in themselves and aurafarm cause they know they are strong

I am very in agreement with your paragraph! But the New And Reformed quicies ARE based on the Nazis according to Tite Kubo just like the Hollows are based on Latin american Conquestadors and Wild Animals of the Amazon!! The old quincies when they started off just like the ones we see in the starting episodes with Uryus flashbacks and Rukias explanation in the old OG anime are very eurocentric and Germanic indeed but they didnt resemble nazis until they Formed the Wandereich. And i live it there as an non spoiler explanation! <3

I see. makes sense, i still think they aren't meant to be seen as an evil race or evil faction like most factions in Bleach. Considering SS did wrong them in first place, them being bitter/brutal makes sense. We just dont know the context of Quincy massacre. SS did this horrible event and never acknowledged even after being "changed" by Ichigo. Like Ginjo incident, they let slide under the rug, which why SS shouldn't be seen as some saint.

Well true tho we did see from the beginning that Soul Society wasnt some insanely justicefull place since Ichigo started making changes! and i think also in Bleach in general there are villainous villains for sure but there is truly no right side or right means to end conflicts. Each side sees themselves as the rightful ones.. All we know so far at of this moment is that the quincies were too lost in their grief to see purpose in saving the hollows souls and while the soul society aint saints, we cant just let it destroy the planet because of grief and sorrow..

We do know why the soul reapers exterminated the Quincies as it was explained early in the show. Their stated reason was because Quincies, by exterminating hollows, threatened the balance of the worlds, so they ended their race. They didnā€™t opine any further. Th Wandenreich that weā€™re seeing IS based off the Nazis and are directly opposing our main characters, so yes, they should be seen as evil. It makes the color schemes so much more interesting because black represents good and white represents evil (which is odd because itā€™s usually the opposite). In any conflict, depending on your perspective, either side can be in the right or in the wrong

102:20. You guys have to remember that for the most part, Naziā€™s are the pinnacle of evil only in the West. In Asia, parts of South America, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East ( besides Israel), itā€™s not taboo or a crime to be a Nazi sympathizer or fanatic. You also have to remember that imperial Japan and Nazi Germany were allies ( Hitler named them Honorary Aryans). A suspicious amount of Mangakaā€™s have shown fascination to the German people. I hate spoilersā€”if I had noticed even a hint of that, I would definitely have edited it. But I spoke in a very general and vague way. Itā€™s like if you asked me whether I liked a book and I said I enjoyed the beginning but didnā€™t like the way the story developedā€”thatā€™s not a spoiler. In fact, itā€™s a fairly common sentiment among Bleach fans. Ron and Michelle even talked about it, including mentioning the authorā€™s dissatisfaction. Animation is god tier, it's a whole movie. Yeah Ichigo is one of the best MCs. He's so relatable and he isnt the typical idiot. Sure he has some silly moments but not like all the time. He's pretty smart. Don't forget to catch the poems after each episode. Kubo did it with OG Bleach, not with every episode but he sprinkles them in here and there. And nah the leader's name hasn't been revealed yet. 5 6 & 7 as a triple drop is gonna be insane. Next week gonna be peak šŸ˜­

Ichigo is not necessarily a geat character because of aurafarming, sure he has aura farming moments but as Ron said, ichigo is not like luffy or naruto, hes more realistic, he is depressed, stressed, angry, happy, just like all of us. Hes not just a silly goofy MC who eats a lot or something. thats hwat makes ichigo stands out is you and I could relate to him as a realistic individual who is just ryna live life safely and peacefully

The Shikai version was always meant to be yellow and the Bankai was supposed to be Black and White. In this Adaptation we get tones of proper corrections like this. - The start of the Episode has Ebern breaking something and releasing dust, that is Hollow Bait. A nice call back to when Uryu used it against Ichigo. - Kubo bases each race on different nationalities, and Quincies are based on German. Shinigami are Japanese, Hollows are Spanish, and Fullbringers are British. (Many are unaware of the Fullbringer part) - Sidenote: On twitter meme's about Orihime being a "real one" came from this episode because she immediately knew to open the window when Ebern refused to get off of Ichigo's bed. - Sidenote 2: Never forget that "our side" aren't exactly the goods guys, at least not the Shinigami....we've seen on several occasions that they will and have wronged people, heck the let Mayuri be Captain and he does heinous things continually. The only real "good guys" are Ichigo and his living Friends (for the most part)

I mean, TYBW is the first time when you can say that Bleach has a good adaptation. It was mediocre beforehand, so Bleach does not have an unfair advantage. If anything, it is the first time that it is on equal playgrounds. Lol, if you think Ichigo is your best MC, then he would have become undisputed if you had read the manga. The OG anime ruins his characterisation so badly. A very important aspect of his character, which was in a chapter called The Sand, is locked behind a filler, meaning people who watch the OG anime miss it. I also mentioned in the last upload how his character work was changed even at the very end of OG Bleach. Not to mention, the OG anime gave him a resolution with his mother, which does not take place in the manga. The lack of that resolution is what drives Ichigo forward in the first place, and to give him that just takes away his motivation lol. The antagonist Quincies are portrayed like Nazis, but the real Nazis are the Soul Society, considering how they are the ones who committed genocide.

I'm surprised that the level of quality is at this level myself as it is still the same OG studio that did the original series, and can see home much they grew with the show as well, but also kinda leaves me like damn I want a remaster of the OG in this style myself. Its very MAPPA with JJK kinda but more peak XD you can really see the inspiration that bleach had on JJK now, it feels like what I imagined while reading the Manga the first time and how I seen it all in my head 20yrs ago. TBF I think Ron is a big aurafarming character lover and Michelle is prob too. Considering his favorite character includes Zoro/Kenpachi. not saying they are bad character, Zoro is my favorite one piece character. But I feel like after watching Michelle and Ron, if the character is aurafarms a lot and is an actually good-decent written character, its prob likely to be higher on their list than a character who might be written better but doesn't have same level of aura. Ichigo is a huge aurafarmer who happens to be a good character. Like if you watch tiktok or random clip of Ichigo, it almost always include scene of him aurafarming rather a big character moment. That is very normal, people love aurafarmers. Even tho Ichigo character is not as good in the anime as the manga, he still got character development and is written p ok. But he aurafarm a lot per arc, I already knew Ron and Michelle would have Ichigo/Kenpachi fairly high on their list even before watching the reactions.

They are good people, I wouldn't consider them good guys or heroes. Uryu def knows Mayuri wrong his people and was planning to do experiments on Arrancar, decided to let him go. Rukia knows firsthand how SS can be and chose to follow her duty as long as it doesn't impact her friends. They are complicit. Ichigo, Orihime, and Chad maybe less so. But Ichigo himself said in Fullbring arc, he knows SS was hiding smth about Combat pass, he wasn't what was wrong. But what if it was bad, but instead of pursuing, he let it go cause they have friends in SS. Even if the secret was bad, he rather push it the back of his brain than ask/probe about it, cause he put his friends above the world. To me, he doesn't what they were doing, but he couldn't bring himself to stop them so he rather ignore it. That is why he never question SS ever, even after almost executing Rukia. I find that part of Ichigo very compelling. He does what is obviously right, but when its a bit of gray, he rather run from it mentally. He is flawed in a way that is super interesting

I love Gojo, Yuta, and Zoro mostly because of their aurafarming scenes. I feel hype watching them, but I don't think they have a lot of depth/written omega well for those 3 i just said compared to people in their own show. Anyway Ron did say he likes Ichigo b/c he was realistic. but later on, he said he likes Ichigo cause he is similar to Zoro/Kenpachi who are not realistic character imo. Those 2 have depth, but a big part of those 2 are aurafarming scenes which is what they are known for. Even among the Straw Hat and Captains, Kenpachi and Zoro are thematically have good depth, but outside of themes, they don't have the most depth to them. They are well loved because they are character who simple depth but well written, but have insane aurafarming scenes. Ichigo imo has a lot of aurafarming, but if that was all to him, I wouldn't like that much. As a MC, he expected to be more than an aurafarmer (looking at you sung jinwoo). Which Kubo does excellently. Ichigo has a lot of depth to his emotion and he is very realistic person. But equating him to Kenpachi/Zoro tells me Ron likes him because he aurafarms. Cause Zoro/Kenpachi love to fight which leaves to have a lot of aurafarming moments, Ichigo doesn't like to fight, he wants the power to protect his people. But since he fight alot and levels up alot , he has a lot of aurafarming moments. Having a lot aurafarming moment doesn't mean Ichigo/Kenpachi/Zoro are alike.

To be fair Bleach was always pretty dark but because of the heavy censorship the studio changed a lot of things in the anime like when Gin hit Hiyori with his sword. In the manga you could see her being cut in half and in the anime she was only stabbed. Now thereā€™s no censorship so the brutality is being shown to the fullest and thatā€™s why you feel the show is darker than before. Also I really like the poems at the end of each episode and each time itā€™s a different character reading it

So, one of the reasons for the huge improvement in animation quality is the fact that this came out 10 years after episode 366. The TYBW anime does not censor nearly as much as the original anime did, as they only censor things once in awhile. One of the only things I can remember them censoring is when Ryonosuke wakes up in Ichigo's bed next to a gigai. In the manga, the gigai is naked while it's clothed here in the anime. Other than that, I can't really think of an instance the TYBW anime censors something. But yeah, these quincies pose a serious threat, and Studio Pierrot does a great job setting the tone for this adaptation. It's the same studio that did OG Bleach, but they've clearly gotten a lot better at their craft, and they get plenty of input from Kubo, himself.
