THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!! 🤣

ron is going to lose his shit thursday

PLAGUE

yeeeeeeeessss

AvatarDan

Give As Nodt’s VA an Oscar!!!

mmm

What do you guys watch bleach on? because if its disney + or hulu how do you get your subtitles like that?

Raden

Renji came off fraud alert and Rukia showed who has the most beautiful Bankai in my opinion. Banger episodes

Swan

It's from Hulu

Krusty

If you look way back you'll see that zabimaru is an ape with a snake for a tail. Thats why renjis old bankai was only the snake part since it was half the name. The true form is an ape arm and a snake blade 🔥

Jonymush

We saw Renjis spirit waaaaaay back. He has a gorilla snake creature so thats why he has a gorilla arm and snake arm

Brandon Holmes

Your Jump scare....Made me jump a bit LOL

Sam Ndiaye

Whys James lowkey lovable haha

David Waller

So Renji's Zanpakuto Spirit is a Monkey with a Snake as it's tail. They showed it briefly a few times in the Soul Society arc but it was more so depicted in the Zanpakuto Rebellion filler Arc as well. That's why his Bankai is part gorilla and snake.

mmm

Oh okay thank you

Weyard Wiz

DUDE I have refreshed patreon like 10x today waiting! UGH FINALLY INDEED LOL

zyo

as nodt voice actor did so good, he is the voice actor for inosuke from demon slayer. also ron, there are 5 special war potentials but i think we only know 3 so far

Masked Void

[Tidbits Ep.18] I enjoy how Mask's/James power is a quick reflection of the relationship between Superstars and Fans. It's a reminder that Superstars are only as important as their fans make them, if you step over your fans then you lose it all. - Some people are confused about Rose's Bankai. It's an illusionary type, however, it seems that those illusions can affect reality as long as you believe it so. - The Battle of Renji vs Mask is also a nod to when Renji said that he was simply a dog barking at the stars back in the Soul Society Arc. - The aspect about Renji not knowing his Zanpaktou's True name is something we experienced in part with Yumichikia, If you recall Yumichika intentionally calls his Zanpaktou a wrong name which results in a half-released shikai. We also learned when Renji fought Byakuya that his Bankai was still immature so it was bound to improve at some point. [Sidenote: The beginning of Mask v Renji is slightly different in the manga, it's has more moments of Renji overpowering Mask.] - Renji's original Bankai name was "Hihio Zabimaru" which translates to Baboon King Snake Tail, referencing only the Baboon as the King whereas the True Name "Sōō Zabimaru" means Two Kings Snake Tail. - Many question "Why aren't the Vizards using their mask", the answer is honestly quite simple, if you think about it in most of the fights they haven't needed them. For example, Shinji was easily winning until he was straight up blindsided/caught of guard, same thing happens here, Kensei has 0 issue until Mask gets a random power up, then it's too late to pull out the Hollow Mask. Same with Rose, he was winning then a sudden change of events turned the tables. - Ichibei reveals here that his name given by the Soul King is Manako Osho which means "The Monk who speaks the True Name" He's also the one who created the name Bankai and Shikai, this is important because names in Bleach mean a lot, to use one's power often requires a name. So Renji's question "What are you" is very fitting - As many may comment you are correct. Judging by Yhwach's words, James is the real sternritter. This was confirmed by Kubo in his Klub Outside QnA's, Mask De Masculine is simply a being that's made from James ideal of a Hero, which is why no matter how often he went down James could simply bring him back, James is the Fan and as long as Fans Exist, the Hero can never fade. (also why his design and name are so cartoonishly over the top) - Soken Ishida is interesting, he seems important enough that someone like Jugram Haschwalth knows him by name, it makes you wonder what was his position back when Shinigami and Quincy were at war. [Reposted before watching so sorry If it covers content you guys are aware of]

Ayden Williams

I can tell that the jump scare actually left you mortified

Dooo

The ginger guy kinda reminds me of kenpachi

B

As Nodt Va was one of the best I’ve ever heard in all of the shows I’ve watched, such a short time but man every second he was shown was great, loved his character and your reaction

Isaac

Gotta have the notifications on 💪🏻

BiGChocolate008🌀

When a sternritter dies, all of the power, skills and knowledge goes back to Ywach.

Masked Void

[Tidbits Ep.19] (Sidenote - We learn from Klub Outside Q&A #281 that the Schrifts that the Quincy have are based on traumas they experienced in life or something they lost during times of war) - Some content about Senjumaru's from 0 Squad (Gold Arms lady) was removed, it shows that she's the one who made the new clothes for Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, and Byakuya and they serve a purpose aside from just looking cool. - The Scale is a hint at what Jugram Haschwalths' ability is. Given what he said, Cang Du survived his 1st attack, which was fortunate, but then we saw the scale tilt. (Make of that what you will) - In the Manga, there exists a little more context to what As Nodt Fears. He exclaims: "My only fear is to be rebuked by His Majesty and have all of this Body taken from me" As we saw with the glimpses of his backstory, he was apparently always in a state close to death and that's a state that he never wants to return to. - As Nodt's speech is slightly altered here in the Anime, but the general premise is that at the fundamental level Comfort leads to Life and Fear leads to Death, he believes that fear is inherently a feeling birthed from our survival instincts, meaning that to want to live means to fear death. - Believe it or not, Some fans draw issue or feel that Rukia's reaction to Byakuya was forced, but as we know Rukia for a long time had never really felt seen by Byakuya, and learning that she was adopted thanks to a dying wish and not her skills certainly wouldn't help sway those feelings. - As Nodt's Death brings up an interesting topic, Yhwach comes across as even more sadistic ruler, he seems to take advantage of the Quincy who were looking for someone or something to save them, and he appears much like a false Messiah, promising them everything while actually seeking to take everything. - Kirinji from the 0 Squad is known for his speed and he believed that it would take a week, Ichigo saying it'll take only half a day is a nice little humble brag. (Sidenote 2: As Nodts obsession with Senbonzakura is interesting, I personally believe it's symbolic. As Nodt seemed to have been living a bedridden life, so his life was likely devoid of seeing beautiful things and hlikely felt that life itself was not beautiful. Senbonzakura is just that, this beautiful tool that he can use to employ the same fear that he was forced to endure.) [Reposted]

BiGChocolate008🌀

Also funnily enough James is the real Sternritter while Mask is his Projection of his power 😂

Weyard Wiz

30:25 "Ill handle this" AURAAAA ICHIGOAAAT!!!!!! 34:31 the way Michelle jumpscared LOOOOL

Akimitzu

do yall think they are ready for the next episode? Michy, have 911 on stand by. Also TOP 5 jump scares for sure from her

Satanás Gringo

As nodt is goated , I don't know if u guys ever thought of comparing Espada to Quincies, but... Quincies have abilities that are practically one shots ,like they are bustedd

Ultimate Winner

great episode for rukia. not my favorite char, but its def a cool sequence. Like byakuya part tho

Usgaroth

It's 5 special threats.

SpartanManJDOGG

They did As Nodt justice. The VA plus the production was incredible.

Str8vib3s

are the bleach intros coming soon🥺

Flyconchords

Do you guys think after you finish bleach youll watch burn the witch? Its a short series with like 4 eps about the western soul society. Hollows equivalent are like dragons kinda and its written by kubo still.

Ultimate Winner

It is called "5 War Potentials", I think Yhwach said that those 5 had the most potential to ruin his plans. That is why he removed Yamamoto from the 5 War Power because while yes, he is prob way stronger than Kenpachi, Yhwach doesn't think Yamamoto could have ruined his plan like Kenpachi with more power can. Ichigo obv is one because his ability are just unpredictable, could easily swing a war. I think Kenpachi has the power but also his very nature/personality that makes him a problem.

Corey

Why are you spoiling future episodes?

CaptainCameron

Ron is definitely going to be smiling ear to ear next episode Also at the very end you talked about cour 4 animation. Apparently the studio spent more time in production on cour 4 than the other 3 cours combined

Derrick Aufrecht

What was spoiled? That Kenny will be in an upcoming episode that they probably already have recorded and watched?

wram

It's insanely impressive that Kubo can introduce characters like As Nodt who have such a short run time in the show but leave such a great impression on the viewers. He genuinely embodied fear in a way that didn't come across as too try hard or corny, it was GENUINELY frightening with the VA amplifying that. I mean case and point, he even scared Michelle 😂

Luker

my favorite bankai in bleach!

Ultimate Winner

I think Bleach pacing is perfect for what it is, cause its a war. If a war feels slow-paced, then it won't feel like a war. I think slow pacing makes sense in the earlier arcs more than this arc. Like Bleach Thousand Year Blood War is obv 100x better quality than One Piece. But man my connection due to how much I love the characters+ slow pacing is such a weird combo for OP. IDK, but Bleach tybw def has better quality and feels like cinematic experience. But OP is just weird show where everything says its a bad show but I love the shit out of it

kkloyd

Renji and Rukia are fire! Also support of Byukia

SpartanManJDOGG

Now there is an explanation why Renji's bankai kept getting slapped. He was running around with a partial bankai lol.

BiGChocolate008🌀

Wow you guys nailed the discussion PERFECTLY, I really appreciate your good work. Cant wait for episode 20💙💙💙💙

wram

Ironic how Kensei dissed his Lieutenant for losing to Mask De Masculine (Superstar) yet he got completely embarrassed and Renji who isn't even a Captain had to come in and finish the job. Also, Rose explaining his Bankai to the enemy just so he could blow out his own eardrums and completely counter it is such a sell on his part 😂 he tried to aura farm and failed miserably.

RikudoRyan

Through my first watch of this show, I kept having the question asked to me "who's bankai are you most looking forward to seeing", and since the early arrancar days my answer was always Rukia. Every time. I think I love her more than most but I have never lost my shit more than seeing that reveal for the first time. Shit meant the world to me honestly. The best bankai reveal in the entire series ❄️❄️

wram

God I can't wait to see Ron's reaction to Thursdays double drop.

Sohan Shetty

okay Ron's def gonna climax on the couch next episode

Weyard Wiz

I think he meant this statement lol "no where near his full potential. "

Jenn

I love how Michelle spent the whole episode bracing for jumpscares I get it lmaoo

Powered By Rice

@58:50 "special threat" Ichigo, Kenpachi, Aizen, Yamamoto and Ichibe.

Str8vib3s

i told him before tybw that his fav character will not disappoint, but at the same time that’s sum he prob already knew

Powered By Rice

renji not even a captain? he had already have a bankai so he is on a captain level now plus he was trained by squad zero, it just he doesn't want to be a captain.

Kayso

Loved Rose's bankai it was super creative. Renji's new bankai form is fire and love the new drip. The ost went crazy too. Its by Hazel Fernandez, same lady who sings 'Number one' Ichigo theme. As Nodt (F) VA deserves a raise, he killed it! I felt bad for Michelle when she got scared lmao I don't play when it comes to scary sh*t either.

Ернар

Urahara, not Yamamoto

Kayso

Ichigo's drip be insane after each training session he gets lol. Big W to the goat Byakuya for being by Rukia's side. Her bankai form looks so similar to her Zanpakuto spirit from the Zanpakuto Rebellion arc which was a filler arc y'all skipped. Still hoping that y'all react to it eventually its fire. So much hype with all the bankais we've been getting these past few episodes. And Bleach manga came out in 2001 and Bleach anime came out 2004

LRsonic

This is definitely peak reaction with that jump scare

Brandocommando

As Nödts VA also voices Inosuke from demon slayer

Diego Arias

No more jump scares just hype

LusiveDream

Next ep is Rons favorite

Dannilo

Here is the funniest fact, AS Nodt voice is same as Zanka em gachiakuta and INOSUKE of demon slayer, this guy is such beast in voice acting, so talented. Tanjiro VA will come too.

Satanás Gringo

It's strange that no one has mentioned this before, but in the manga, Kubo actually killed Byakuya, but he received so many girl fan letters that he had to change the story.

Moses Luke

Next Episode is definitely gonna be Ron's favorite episode

Just_a_guy

One of the best episodes in Bleach and this whole stretch going into the next season is peak. Space jam reference was hilarious and also Michelle experiencing true fear. One of the sickest quincies. Rukias Bankai was a peak moment for fans, so beautiful. And the way Byakuya was so kind and gentle with her, it's just epic. He said "Little Ru can finish this" And As Nodt thought Byakuya used his bankai! Byakuya leveled up to an insane degree, as in Rukia is much stronger now but also he increased the gap by a lot as well. Look at his old shikai compared to this. His dialogue about bonds and backing away to see them from afar is some real shit, the metaphor with his bankai is dope.

Satanás Gringo

Is 5 war potential ichigo kempachi and Aizen. And i think the other 2 haven't been mentioned yet, could you make a prediction about who you think they might be?

Brandon Holmes

Yeah and also I would say for me that Cour 3 is even better animation then cour 1 and 2.

Moses Luke

On thing I really want you both to remember is the difference between Shikai and Bankai. Shikai is the first release state of a zanpakuto, and the user just has to say the name of their sword to activate it. Bankai is the second and ultimate release form of a zanpakuto, and the user has to say the word "Bankai" before the name of the sword when that want to activate their Bankai. Not sure if you guys remembered this detail or not but I just wanted to remind you

ra-TH_

We have officially hit a legendary run of just straight peak ladies and gents

Chase Canty

I rewatched Michelle getting scared like 15 times and Ron’s reaction to her screaming 😂😂 that was awesome

Levelingup

Renji bankai has two animals a monkey and a snake when you go back to og bleach when renji materializes his zanpakuto for the first time after losing to ichigo. you see a white monkey or baboon with a snake tail.

Teddy Roo

For Clarification Ron, there are 5 special threats. To this point they have given 3/5: Ichigo, Kenpachi, and Aizen. There are 2 more that have not been said yet. Old man Yamamoto was considered, but Ywacth saw that he grew weaker over time and didn’t consider him one of the threats.

ThatguyBri

And Betelgeuse Romanee Conti from Re:Zero!

jordan

In fairness, at this point, Renji is stronger than all of the captains outside of Shunsui, Byakuya, and Kenpachi. Mayuri is arguably stronger just because he is the Batman of Bleach.

wram

I’m just saying that for the way Kensei speaks to his lieutenant, you’d think he’d be on the stronger side of Captains but he’s arguably one of the weakest which I just found ironic.

jordan

I will never get over how beautiful Rukia's bankai is. She's gorgeous. Also, putting hands on Yachiru is an immediate catching of these hands. Can't wait for the thursday double drop. Ron is gonna love those episodes.

Levelingup

As Nodt VA in subbed killed it brought the real horror to his character. When I read the manga I was always thinking what he would sound like but man the VA killed it.

ZenoN

As Nodt VA did petelgeuse from ReZero. He's a goat. Next episode is gonna be insane. Yall not ready 💀

Yato

as nodt is by far my favorite sternritter i love himmmm my baby

taymone

one thing i think is really unique (or was at the time) is that a lot bankai carry great risk. it's like they are wagering something in order to access higher power. it's kind of like nen users in hunter hunter where they are making nen pacts or i guess jjk too with cursed pacts. sort of. bankai is so strong that most only use it as an absolute last resort. that's why there are so many that havent been revealed to this point.

BiGChocolate008🌀

Also both of you are in for a special surprise this summer when Cour 4 drops!!! 😈👹🔪.

Mr. A

It's been a long time but in the Soul Society arc Renji summoned Zabimaru to train his first Bankai and it was revealed that Zabimaru was a baboon with a snake tail. And both the baboon and the snake had a mind of its own. It's not 100% clear but it seems that the whole time Renji's mostly been using the snake-like abilities only, which would make sense considering he only knew half of its real name.

VexFord

If u watched the fillers it shows renjis bankai and its a monkey with a snake tail, so thats prolly where the hand comes from

Dwayne Townsend

To put it simply Ron .. when you’re right your right lol

Dwayne Townsend

I think u understand bleach so well bcuz you’re a true anime watcher now

StuntonemSteve

I really love this episode. Rukai finally getting the praise that she deserves from her brother with the ending song playing. Plus, that Bankai reveal with the song "Slip Away" playing gets me every time.

Kurofi

The matrix was actually heavily inspired by the anime movie “Ghost in the shell”. You should go check it out if you haven’t!

Cody Harrald

They are referred to as the 5 special war potentials. Each one is considered a war potential for different specific reasons. So far I believe only 3/5 have been specifically mentioned as war potentials. Although, without spoilers, the remaining 2 war potentials are characters we have already been introduced to, it just hasn’t yet been explicitly stated they are the remaining 2 war potentials. Ichigo is a war potential for his “potential”, self explanatory, he is always evolving at a crazy rate and his power/potential seem limitless. Kenpachi is a war potential for his strength alone. Again, self explanatory, his strength is in a league of its own. Aizen is a war potential because of his overwhelming reaitsu(spiritual pressure), obviously aizen has always had extraordinary reaitsu, but after fusing with the hogyoku and evolving beyond a soul reaper his reaitsu has only continued to increase/grow. That’s the reason the three that have been named so far are considered potentials. Obviously the remaining two have their own “reason” as well. Hope this helps.

Levelingup

no more jump scares. Ron going to be in for a treat next episode though lmao

Mando23

That man Byakuya got to much drip!!! Shout out to rukia for unlocking bankai!!

ra-TH_

Theres also 5 special threats not 3, we've only been told 3 of them at this point..

Kefka Palazzo

Since it's confirmed that the first three episodes of Bleach TYBW cour 4 will be in theaters in June. Hopefully it'll be a global showing for all the fans to see. Crossing my fingers that these two will go out and see it and enjoy with the rest of us Bleach fans the peak we will be witnessing. Love this episode for many reasons one of them being that As Not's description of true fear was really spot on and not at all gimmicky. You can train forever, have the best abilities, even temporarily kill yourself. True fear will always seep through your nerves and even deeper into your soul. Rukia, As Not, and Byakuya Kuchiki had that shit on! You know a episode is excellent when you truly get jumped scared almost out of your seat. Peak reaction and episode can't wait for the next two.

Stefan

If they’re glazing this animation i can’t wait til they get into wano and beyond in OP

Weyard Wiz

people mentioned it in ep8

The CulturedGentleman

I would give you guys a million guesses and you would never in a million years be able to predict how this anime plays out lol

dzuudo

At this point we don't even know there is 5 of them.

Weyard Wiz

hell even us manga readers wont know how it plays out exactly anymore based on what kubo has been saying about the next part lol

The CulturedGentleman

Ron, let Michelle be scared if she afraid lol That was quite off guard. Thats great production quality. shows you how good they did this arc

bia

bc that's just a rumor that people like to spread around. there's no confirmation that byakuya was supposed to die or that he changed his mind.

The CulturedGentleman

Lol i KNEW As Nodt would get to Michelle Hes such an AWESOME freaking villain!!

Brandocommando

SPECIAL THREATS THAT HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED 1. Ichigo 2. Aizen 3. Kenpachi

Chris Garcia

Rukia has the prettiest bankai for sure!!

Wsgyan

Michelle soul reapers don’t die of old age so asking if ichibe was immortal is kind of funny ahaha especially when we have the creators of zanpakutos who looks much younger

The CulturedGentleman

Rukia's Bankai is one of the strongest. Its enough to where she could become a Squad captain. It most certainly surpasses Hitsugaya's Ice Bankai Hiyorinmaru Cour 3 is gonna go CRAAAAZZYYYY!!! Holy Shit!

Wsgyan

Also so-oh zabimaru used to be Zoo zabimaru in the manga so that really shows renji’s power is linked with animals and stuff that’s why it wasn’t just a snake anymore

The CulturedGentleman

In a filler arc i think, when their swords came alive, his was a Snake and a Monkey. I never understood why his Bankai was just a snake.

The CulturedGentleman

He was freaking amazing! That could not have been voiced better! And this is cvoming from someone who watched Bleach in Dub. The Jap VA's are killing it with TYBW

Ahupnatun

Haha, this was definitely one of the scariest episodes for sure. As Nodt is such a cool villain and super creepy. That will mostly be the end of scary stuff, from what I can remember.

DonO

As Nodt VA is the same VA for Inosuke from Demon Slayer

Uğurcan

Its a baboon but doesn't really matter.

The CulturedGentleman

I dont think they realize Renji is currently one of the strongest in the anime at this point

Tingz

Ron wishing Bleach pacing to be like One piece pacing is crazy, you want it to slow down that much? Yea no. I love one piece tho so no hate . I'd say it'll be some chill moments in future maybe lore or backstories similar to ichigos mom backstory with the quincies

Tingz

Yall know how Bleach is. Every time someone trains and level up they get new drip lol

Levelingup

I only watch anime in its natural language English va don’t hit the emotions like sub do. The only anime I ever watched in dub and only in dub is dbz.

The CulturedGentleman

Mayuri is to just be treated as a wildcard that can be weaker or stronger than anyone. He is far too weird and unpredictable to normally rank him lol

The CulturedGentleman

One Piece would not be One Piece if it wasnt goofy and weird and quirky. If it was "normal" it would be boring as any other anime.

Levelingup

Yeah funny they didn’t like og bleach pacing in a few arcs but now wants it slowed down lol. Most of the op fans I know says the pacing is one piece is brutal lmao. I’m good on that and I ain’t waiting 2000 episodes for the animation quality to get better either lol.

The CulturedGentleman

He had calculated Unohana would give her life to make him a true threat. Thats why he didnt name Unohana as a special threat but named Kenpachi even tho at the time he was weaker than her. She would not be the menace she was a thousand years ago.

Powered By Rice

5 special threaths are, Ichigo, kenpachi, aizen, kisuke and ichibe.

Brandocommando

They never revealed all of that………………

Tingz

Yea even op fans say the pacing is bad it's just true but op is great tho just the pacing can suck. Animation gradually gets good . Current OP is amazing but like in the 400s to 600s animation gets good. At least under ep 1000 but gotta be patient lol

Weyard Wiz

I dont think animation matters as much as the actual events. for example latest one piece ep 1159 had sakuga animation but still rated 7.6...

Powered By Rice

not a big deal, why kisuke? because he's the creator of hogyoku and the one who sealed one of the special threats, Aizen, why ichibe? he's the leader of squad zero.

Powered By Rice

yea, just renji don't want to become a captain like madarame.

Davis

If you would have watched the Zanpakuto rebellion arc (the only filler worth watching), all of sword spirits manifest and fight against their owners. Renjis is shown to be a baboon with a sentient snake tail. So it basically has like 2 spirits in 1.

XXI

I prefer that baboon form it wa so much cooler

Weyard Wiz

loool those two usernames though "Cooking Ron" and "Powered by Rice"

Lorenzo

Delete this brah, they dont know all of this

XXI

There is actually 6 war potentials... Ron is the sixth man with his big brains and unpredictability 💪🏼🔥🥵

Powered By Rice

they don't know about what? that kisuke the one who sealed aizen and the one wo create hogyoku? haha

XXI

Guys what-if after cour 4th, you rank your favorite Quincy from worst to best ??

Captain Usopp aka God Usopp

I remember watching these thingking am I watching BLEACH right now?? i never been scared of feel uneasy like this,As Nodt VA really brings out his character beyond the screen man,im truly feel disturbed by him,he is the best depicted amongs the members of Sternritter my personal opinion, straight out of Jinjo Ito shit lol..Another peak is coming guys WO!

GentleCrank

It’s sick that As Nodt’s skin transitions into a hospital gown

Fluent Movement

As Nodt’s VA was so fucking awesome!!! Rukia was impressive but I was more appreciative of Renji’s performance! Michelle will get a laugh outta next episode

miguel rojas

Can you believe that director wanted to cut dialog from As Nodt because it would make the episode to long. But Kubo said not to cut anything about the dialog and they made the ending and the scene going on in the background of the credits to fit it in.

Egor Aloshyn

If I’m not mistaken, up until episode 19 there had been no direct mention by name of those who belong to the group of five Special War Powers. But as you already named them yourselves, it’s Ichigo (he’ll be explicitly mentioned a bit later), Kenpachi (he’ll be mentioned very soon), and I don’t remember Aizen being mentioned yet — for example, in the Yhwach vs. Aizen dialogue in Muken — but you’re thinking in the right direction. And as was already mentioned below in the comments, there are still 2 more names coming ;) And yes, it’s not Yamamoto — Yhwach himself explicitly mentioned that he excluded him from the list ;)

Chey

fun fact: Rukia’s zanpacukto is known as the most beautiful in the soul society

gggoos

58:30 5 special threats I think you were refering to that. I believe Ichigo, Aizen and Kenpachi have been revealed for those. If I remember correctly they have yet to mention the other 2

dzuudo

These type of comments are the reason why they can't go through patreon comment section without mod's confirmation. Definetely a spoiler, not a big one, but still. Pointless to classify them "not a big spoiler" or "this is big one". Just don't spoil anything. Simple as that.

Nicole

I lowkey need to see yall watch a scary movie now lol

Powered By Rice

this type of comment are the reason why people nowadays we're so sensitive,

Powered By Rice

btw when you use "these" it should be plural right? like "these TYPE(S) of comments

Powered By Rice

i think yuhabaha or hashwalto mention already that ichigo is one of the special threats in the episode born in the dark, and about kenpachi they mention it when kenpachi lose to the fake yuhabaha

Mando23

Michelle be honest about your fav anime you know it’s bleach or Naruto lol

kkloyd

Its a kisuke urahara and manaka osho i think

K2

Finally!!!!

Thamor

Haha, I spat my coffee when Michelle decided Bleach is horror story on that hand touch and "Hehe" scene to scream :D

CE Ong

Petition for horror anime reaction! Ghost Hunt anyone? Jk Michelle will never be ready. I can only wish.

油 ラー

Definitely,As Nodt is one of my favorite villains.

Castiel_01x

Why would you even say this?

Castiel_01x

Only three of the Five Special Threats have been revealed so far. Ichigo, Aizen and Kenpachi being the three.

The CulturedGentleman

Heath Ledger’s Joker came to mind watching him. He definitely killed that role.

Castiel_01x

Mask just needs to feel the energy of James' cheers; he does not necessarily have to hear them. That's how he heals himself. It's like what happens in real wrestling. Names have always been a big thing in Bleach. This was well established in early OG Bleach. Like how knowing the names of your attacks increases the attack's potency (Old Man Zangetsu revealed this to Ichigo during their training). So when Renji revealed his Bankai's name to be Hihio Zabimaru in OG Bleach, it was a hint that his Bankai was not complete. That's because Hihio Zabimaru means Baboon King Snake Tail. We saw in the Soul Society arc how Renji's zanpakuto spirit looked, and it was a Monkey and a Snake. The Monkey seemed like he always had Renji's back, but the Snake's words hinted at how he never acknowledged him. Meaning Renji had a partial Bankai, as only the Monkey part of his spirit was acknowledged as a king, while the snake was not. The Snake Part of the partial Bankai only seemed like a tool. And this was finally followed up on now as his Bankai became So-oh Zabimaru, which means Twin Kings Snake Tail, as both spirits are acknowledged. Byakuya also hinted during his fight with Renji that he needs years to master his Bankai completely. Another example of a similar usage of word play is with Gin. The name of Gin's Bankai was revealed to us before he revealed his true intentions. It was called Kamishini no Yari, which means God-Killing Spear. People went bonkers when this was revealed, as only Aizen was the one who seemed like a God at that time, hinting that Gin's true intentions were to kill Aizen. Episode 18 also explains how Renji had a poor win record in OG Bleach, as he had a partial Bankai to begin with, and parts of that partial Bankai were destroyed by Byakuya during their fight. Based on what we learned from Mayuri, a broken Bankai is weaker than what it was before, which put another shackle on Renji. Yhwach addressing James and not Mask indicates that James was the actual Sternritter. That means Mask is just an idealistic version of James that he sees in himself under the fas*ist ideologies that Yhwach follows. This indicates that under such practices, the truth is often hidden from those who follow them as they view themselves to be something else than what they actually are, which is a nice layer of added complexity. James coming back to Yhwach would only have hit different with the context of the chapter called "God Like You", which was adapted in the first episode of Cour 2. That chapter does not translate well in the anime, as it is just a fraction of what it actually represents. It is a must-read as it gives you more context on Yhwach as a character. The post-episode discussions after ep 18 would have been interesting with that additional knowledge, even if you get a little more context in ep 19. Haschwalth killing the two defeated Sternritters goes in line with the fas*ist themes. Of course, they were going to be killed for failing to represent the ideology that they follow. Plus, it feeds Yhwach as well. With Rukia, her worldview was shaped by being around Kaien. So she thought that her zanpakuto was similar to him in the way that ice emits from the tip of the sword, just like water emits from the tip of his sword. But upon self-reflection, she has finally been able to see value in herself due to the training she underwent. Meanwhile As Nodt, represent that aspect of fas*ism where people follow these customs due to the fear instilled in them. At the same time, it also represents those who fear seeing a world without their practices. Byakuya's words at the end directly address what happened with Komamura. Byakuya said, "Nothing can be saved by throwing your sword in exchange for your life", which is what happened to Sajin. Such a tragic end to a good character.

little ark

We have seen what ranjis bankai spirit looks like before and it’s this weird half monkey snake thing, so you can interpret that before when he was only using half it’s name, it was summoning just the snake, now with the full name it’s using both

Sammy

At the beginning of the video you mentioned how much you’re enjoying the show, and I think I know why… you actually try to understand Bleach 🫶 I’ve seen a lot of reactors who mainly focus on the animation and fights but don’t really dig into the story because they’re used to being spoon-fed (everything's spelled out or shown). So I really appreciate you two having actual discussions and the curiosity to really understand what’s going on 🫶 The voice acting for Äs Nödt is my favorite villain performance 🤌 This + the character design + the whole fear concept = PEAK 🙌 I’m so sorry Michelle, but I cracked up when you got scared 🤣🫶 I always wondered why there were two ice Zanpakuto (Hitsugaya and Rukia)… but turns out there aren’t, and now we know. To sum it up: • Hitsugaya’s Zanpakuto is about ice ❄️ • Rukia’s Zanpakuto is about temperature 🌡️ Btw, the Stranger Things' Demogorgon: Bleach did it first 😌✌️

Castiel_01x

The context behind the war potentials are only revealed later, even if the three you mentioned have been namedropped.

ra-TH_

I'm pretty sure Yhwach says 5 when explaining why Yama ain't one anymore before he kills him..

Cooking Ron

Lol it was a coincidence too I had this name since 2017

Cooking Ron

People will give a spoiler and say stuff like “we’re are sensitive” as if that justifies it like what ?

RorotheShadow

Even though he didn't had much screen time, Äs Nödt actually became one of my favorite Quincies 🖤🖤 He plays so intensely with the minds of his opponents, his ability is sick, he possesses a mysterious, terrifying aura, his character design is damn cool and his voice is just badass! His VA did a truly incredible job! 🔥🔥I could honestly listen to Äs Nödt talk all day long, simply because I find his voice absolutely awesome 😂😂🖤🖤🔥🔥

Sam Ndiaye

yall need to Youtube shorts this ahhahhahah

SHADOW X YT

Lock Ron up after Thursday

IcoNIC

21:46 if yall watched the Zanpakuto you would know why 😭

Things you might have missed this episode: - After Sternritter S dies, the name that Yuha calls back is "James", which means that the one who was the Ritter is the little guy. Their bond is one of a fan (James) and their idol (Mask De Masculine) and the "connection" Ron thought of they might have is nothing literal. It's basically James' manifestation of his power or a vision of himself even, if he was a superstar wrestler. - Prior Renji's release word for his bankai was "hihio" and now it's "so-o". Lets just say it matters a lot how you get called. In a serious or working environment you might get called by ur surname, with friends they call you by name or even a nickname, while in moments of respect your full govt name. - "Ein Heldenleben", the attack Rose (the music bankai guy) was gonna use is German for "A Hero's Life". On another note, peak reaction from Michelle this time around. The sound design during Rukia's episode was genuinely horror quality. Perfect for a character like As Nodt !!

SageTheChosen

For the level or Aura that Ichigo has, for that to make you memory recall MJ in space jam!!??? my goodness, lol I been saying for years, Ichigo is one of one when it comes to SJ protags. His only rival finally appearing after all these years in Kagurabachi. Sung Jin Woo whoo???

Weyard Wiz

ICHIGOAT🔥🔥🔥🔥

IcoNIC

When I tell you just HOOTING & HOLLERING!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣 I couldn’t take it lol

Space

No offense but not everything similar is because it's an inspiration. Most manga state their inspirations in interviews and volume extras.

Christina H.

One thing I was most excited about is seeing all the new bankais that we haven’t had the chance to see yet

Poor Jedi

I'm not Michelle but I'm sure it's Bleach )))

GG420

"dont worry about Squad 11" means literally what IT says xD, Zaraki does whatever he wants thats why Central 46 didnt want him to become stronger because he would be way to dangerous If he decides that he doesnt want to follow Orders^^

Polygon

Rose explaining his powers to mask and then losing because of it is absolutely one of the best examples of why Bleach suffers from the “characters explain their powers to their enemies” trope in older shonens.

B

Rukia ice nukeeeee

DRoger

Besides just getting stronger, Ywhach also benefits from killing the fallen Sternritter so that they can't revolt or spread dissent bc they don't know that his plan kinda involves them dying. I can't even remember if they all know that he gets stronger when they die even! He doesnt really allow them to question him either, he just promises them the world and demands loyalty!

Castiel_01x

Mask already had it figured out though by saying that it must be a deception.

Polygon

@Castiel He didn't know it was music based. Rose telling him that is what led him to rupture his eardrums

GodsFury101

i HAD to go back and watch Michelle get jumpscared it was fantastic. i have pretty nice speakers for my PC and i will tell you when that scene came on it was like he was in the room with me so i feel you. great reaction as always!

idkwhy

As Nodt has the same VA as Inosuke from Demon Slayer btw

idkwhy

Idk, if you've noticed, but Byakuya constantly thanks his enemies (when he says "Reiwoiu" I get chills). Another reason why he is still one of my top 3 characters in Bleach, after so many years.

Marcos

I can’t even lie. I watched this at 3:00 in the afternoon on a sunny day and As Nodt whispering in my ear scared the crap out of me 😂 That jump scare was a great moment for the reaction lmao. As artistic quality goes, I’d say that episode was my favorite of the second cour. And As Nodt became my favorite Quincy.

Mike Hopper

Every episode in TYBW is a banger. It's just all gas no brakes

Aaron williams

Ichigo is the ultimate Mary sue. I’m not mad about either.

Aaron williams

This was my first time watching the as nodt fight with headphones in and Michelle didn’t over react 😭😭😭 girl me tooooo

Aaron williams

Seeing rukia’s bankai for the first time actually drew me to tears I wanted to know so bad watching bleach as a kid and I didn’t even see it in a spoiler for the manga so seeing this for the first time after so much anticipation led me to tears. She looked incredible.

JJ Bers

Haven't seen any schedule updates or announcements. Are we gonna have Boruto episodes today?

Weyard Wiz

The schedule was posted last week

Antonio Ricardo

I didn’t realize it was inosukes voice actor until he started the signature screaming. Good ass range

Go Raon

there's an after scene

Mel - Sërënä

I'm not gonna lie... I've always seen the episodes on TV, big screen, home cinema sound, BUT this time, I agree with Michelle 😱, Fear guy's voice in my ears with my buds, made feel like he was right behind me 😨 it was creepy!!! 😨😱😭 Rukia 🤩❄️ Byakuya 😍❤️🌸 Yachiru!!! Cutie!!! 🥰

HesOneShot

Lmfao I’m dying laughing at Michelle being jump scared!!

4$ure

wait did yall skip the bount arc when the swords had physical forms cause wym u dont understand ... its a snake and a monkey the mokey is where the arm comes from

Mr. A

That's two different arcs but yeah they skipped because it was filler. But also in the Soul society arc we see Renji's sword spirit and it's a baboon with a snake tail. They prolly just forgot

Heavenly Demonic Emperor

Bruh Michelle reaction to Nodt VA was mad funny asf 😂 🤣 💀 I fuckin lost it 🤣🤣🤣

Kcashforever

The scene where ichigi is falling looks like goku in dbz

Antonio Auditore

To understand renjis bankai, the name means two kings, remember his spirit is a baboon with a snake tail. his old bankai only used the snake half while he wore the baboon furs as a cloak. Now he uses both which involves the baboons strength

Bim Skuddi

Idk why but I really appreciate Michelle using Komamura’s first name. I feel like him and his bankai are often overlooked just because it’s kind of basic.

Jordan Postle

As Nodt's English VA also killed these lines.

ronn

rukia bankai is beautiful

IAA_ShRaPNeL

As Nodt's voice actor did an amazing job, and the sound production on that whisper when he shows up was incredible. It really hit that "send shivers down your spine" frequency.

Raventerrace

Michelle you gotta lock in how that scare you lol

Daniel

Lmao one of the best reactions to the asmr part

LuvStarburst

OMG watching Michelle get scared from as nodt whispering in Rukias ear is so funny. I rewatched that scene over an over again cause of how funny it is. As Nodt's character was so unique and fun to watch. I can't wait to see Ron's reaction on the next episode.

Cuorion

If you think about it Byakuya was actually the one who defeated As Nodt. Sure, Rukia landed the blows, but Byakuya's actions were the warming light in Rukia's heart that kept the fear away. Beautiful episode, so well written and played out.

Yonkuo

RENJI IS SO UNDERRATED BUT HES THE BEST CHARACTER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joseph Maggio

Michelle learning how ears work was the best lol "I felt it in my ear" xD

Ilsuk Yang

Kensei's always that dude that's running his mouth, but his appearances show that he's mostly just talk. He sees 3 lieutenant-to-captain class shinigami beaten by Mask De Masculine and assumes the worst and doesn't pay attention to what his own lieutenant has to say until it's too late. Result, he and Rose (one of the most nothing characters in Bleach) get bodied just like Hisagi, Ikkaku, and Yumichika did. Then Renji comes with his true bankai and puts in that work after Mask stupidly killed James (who is the real Sternritter). Episode 19 with As Nodt is Bleach going pure horror and it's one of my favorite episodes in TYBW. As Nodt's "The Fear" is absolutely terrifying, which only gets intensified with his quincy vollsterndich, Tartar Foras (the stuff of nightmares). Rukia's true shikai abilities are amazing, but her bankai (basically a fuck-all ice nuke) is legendary! But, the backbone of this episode is the progression of Byakuya and Rukia's sibling relationship. Byakuya just has, in my opinion, the best character development in Bleach. He's repaired his relationship with Rukia and shown his confidence in her. He's learned to let his pride go and ask for help from Ichigo. He even stayed true to Ichigo while under the influence of Tsukishima's "Book of the End." He's my favorite character in Bleach because of his character development.
