Sabo is definitely stronger than ace was pre time skip but ace would have definitely been stronger than Sabo had he survived the war.

Sabo may be stronger than Ace but his control over the fire fruit isn’t there yet. Remember the fight with Blackbeard vs Ace and his flame emperor. Also doflamingo cut the meteors before with his strings during the fight with law and Fujitora brought down a meteor.

First time watching those episodes as a manga reader, so I guess this is a sneak peek at the pacing issues people were talking about? Those two episodes could’ve easily been condensed into a few minutes lol

Yea the pacing is something else this dressrosa arc, its so slow sometimes it should be a case study. It gets a little better next arc but its a very long arc But much character development

you're so lucky to have started with the manga lol, and yeah this is what anime watchers are talking about. Obviously the pacing issues are present throughout the entirety of OP but its really egregious here. Not a fan of it but if they are enjoying it that's all that matters. 🌞

I think Sabo personally would beat him (extreme-diff). Marco's devil fruit allows him to be a defensive titan -- though his healing consumes his own stamina, taking continuous, heavy hits will eventually tire him out. For someone like Sabo who uses Armament Haki and has superior offense, i think Sabo would outlast him.

Sabo glazing already, I respect it. Also Ace's bead necklace wasn't broken at all in the manga, only in the anime. So yeah that's a little continuity error on the anime's part

So true, but hey if they can make it through this arc then they can get through anything. Dressrosa really is Toei at it's worst not just with pacing but also animation, art, direction, compositing, nearly everything

Sabo is a far stronger fighter than Ace. Despite Ace having his devil fruit longer, Sabo is the second in Command of the Revolutionary Army. He is a VERY well trained soldier in various types of combat plus he has strong Haki. Unlike Ace, Sabo was very strong even before having his fruit. With it, he easily can beat a majority of other characters in this anime. So yes, Sabo is Very strong now

I feel like we just haven't gotten enough time with Ace to really say for sure, but Sabo is undeniably very high up there in power. Especially for someone who seemingly has no special lineage or bloodline whatsoever, we saw his parents back then and they were nothing but a couple of rich losers

Guys please watch 701 to 706 close together...wait...This weekend will end on ep 691...next weekend on 697...so the following week you would end on 703...i guess that works out. The following Friday please do a triple drop and end on 706. Doing a double drop to end on 705 is gonna suck. SO...please just do a Triple Drop for 703 to 706!

Ace for sure did. Flame Commandment was his most powerful move and he used it against Blackbeard. Sabo is stronger than ace

Marco would win for those same reasons. He can far outlast Sabo in a fight and its not like either can burn the other. Sabo is a better trained fighter but Marco can hold his own and would outlast him. Extreme high diff but I think marco wins in the end in a battle of attrition

@The_CulturedGentleman Yeah sure, arguably it may very well be the slowest. However there's such a dramatic spike in overall production value from Wano arc onwards that it elevates even those slow episodes tenfold imo. So your average Wano episode might still drag like always, but there's so much more care and attention put into nearly every other area of production that it can still provide a solid and enjoyable viewing experience despite the usual pacing issues. Dressrosa has almost none of that, it might actually be the laziest and low quality arc adaptation that Toei's ever done on top of being one of the longest major arcs of the series. You might disagree but that's how I feel. For this reason I can comfortably put every single arc that comes after Dressrosa way above it, especially Wano and beyond.

Sabo with the aura farming and the fact that in the dub he's voiced by Ichigo's VA 🔥 So after Doflamingo shoots Law, Law says "Cora-san" first name drop. Afterwards Ron was like "Corazon" and Michelle was like "no, it's Cora-san" lol you both weren't wrong but Ron was clever with the Corazon before the actual name reveal. Both do sound alike, its a play on words. Also one detail in one of the earlier episodes Viola was shooting at a TV screen because she seen spectators booing Rebecca.

Yh this is from where Dressrosa pacing gets horrible and gets its critic from. The first part of Dressrosa is fine but now is where it gets bad. If possible switching to 3 episodes per upload for the rest of this arc may be needed but up to you guys.

ace was stronger, he knew haki too, also the only ace we know is 2 the one who fought blackbeard and other is 2-3weeks imprisoned 1HP health ace that died sacving luffy

Sabo is at a much more progressed stage than Ace was at pre timeskip. If Ace was still alive then it’d be a different story though I’m sure Oda would’ve had Ace and Sabo at similar levels with Ace slightly being stronger But right now…Sabo is much stronger than the Ace we saw in Marineford

training has been shown to not overcome haki levels. Ace's haki level was on another level.

While sabo is stronger. Ace had more potential. He had conquerors haki etc and Sabo had more oppurtunies to train. had ace continued to live he would of been stronger when he developed his haki more

If Ace had survived Marineford, he likely would have eventually surpassed Sabo, but entirely because of his latent potential, not his pre-timeskip baseline. Whitebeard was actively grooming Ace to be the next Pirate King because not only is he Roger’s son but he also has all 3 haki types which sabo doesn’t seem to have

It’s not really something that matters cus he’s dead but I believe if ace lived he could scale potentially even higher due to conq and lineage

Red Blue Lucy (it's specifically Sabo disguised as lucy, not luffy!) is actually a really strong leader card right now, and runs the new 7 cost sabos as part of it, if you wanna play that

yea a young adult but still a grown up guy lol i just imagine him with naruto's voice and he would sound silly. Maybe it's just that i'm already used to hear him with his actual voice but i don't think i'm the only one that thinks that way. I think his voice sounds badass as it is.

Ace died because of Akainu, arguably the strongest Marine in history. And honestly, Sabo can defeat Akainu right now. Ace not weak but Akainu is another level

you saying Dofi proves the other guys point more than yours lol. i dont think lineage automatically makes someone stronger either but hes saying lineage can be a indicator of potential, especially when combined with conqueror's haki.
