Michelle is hilarious. 9 more episodes of the BS. When I first watched dressrosa in 2015 never noticed the pacing issues till my friends watched and complained. I was such a die hard fan I just enjoyed the goofiness and fun of dressrosa. Watching parts a second time I feel that pacing 😭

Alright I yapped enough times about Toei's miserable adaptation of this arc so I'm keeping my trap shut this time. I know y'all say you don't really mind it but you can at least kinda see what everyone's been talking about now. The heartbreaking part is that this ain't even the worst of it yet When we were young it frustrated us all in the moment, but situations like this really show why filler arcs were low key necessary for mainstream anime back before the industry transitioned to seasonal formats. Old school Naruto and Bleach had their moments, but neither was ever this painful with the pacing

I feel like a lot of the pacing complaints come from people binge watching years after episodes were released. Especially wrt flashbacks and recap scenes. We forget that when eps released weekly, it made more sense to show a recap of a scene that aired 2+ years prior instead of expecting ppl to remember it all. But now instead of having watched a scene 2 years ago, ppl might've watched it 2 months or even 2 weeks prior, so it can feel annoying to rewatch something still fresh on your mind.

Tbh the pacing is mainly due to the anime being a weekly anime instead of the standard seasonal ones, basically it's a race to not catch up to the manga too fast. I'm glad they switched to seasonal tho

When i watched it first time i never even thought abt pacing. I thought in these "worse pacing situations" (most of them are in Dressrosa, fishman and early-Mid wano island) ,- it relly was just the anime giving tv watchers more recaps so you always refresh on the complexity of the arc every week. The first time pacing annoyed me was when i rewatched the anime first time and after i saw so many people yap abt it. Yes, for someone waiting for all the peakness - sometimes 4-5eps in Dressrosa/Wano feel thicc like honey. For someone watching it blind its just a sign to eat more food while watching❤️‍🔥.

I would love for yall to stop talking about pacing so much because its really not that bad as yall make it seem for them. Dressrosa is known for being bad and adapting 0.6 chapters on average per episodes is not good pacing lol half a chapter per episode is super bad even tho zou is even worse when we compare to other arcs adapting almost 2 chapters per episode
