- As mentioned before Lille’s Vollstandig design takes obvious visual elements from Seraphim (Biblical angels that act as gods spokesmen). This sort of second evolution is further proof of it, aside from having 8 wings, Seraphims are also often depicted as serpent-like creatures bathed in fire or red. (This isn’t 1 to 1, Kubo throws his own unique spin on it by using white instead of red and adding an owl-like face) - We learn here about Shunsui's struggle with death and responsibility, which adds to the sense of tragedy we often feel about his character. Even within this arc it happens again, Yamamoto and Jushiro died leaving him with even greater responsibilities. When you think about his actions, his willingness to do whatever is necessary, it makes much more sense now, for him he has to win because he carries those deaths and responsibilities with him as best as he can. (The concept of him sharing the burden of responsibility instead of taking it on all by himself was impressively expressed through his moment with Nanao) - Many fans often questioned the Nanao ancestral blade concept, feeling that it’s (understandably) overly convenient, and came completely out of the blue. but, as I’ll express again later, Kubo tends to have lore in mind long before it’s revealed. This is why Nanao wasn’t shown in fights, she doesn’t even have a named Zanpaktou and if you recall her moments in the Soul Society arc, she didn’t even carry a blade with her even when the restrictions were lifted (I.e In a story where the strength of the Zanpaktou is primarily how one's strength is judged, it’s obvious that Kubo not showing hers meant something was being set up. It’s more likely that Lille was made in part to delve into this plotline) - Sidenote: Additionally Nanao's last name is ā€œIseā€ which is likely in reference the famous Ise Shrine in Japan. It’s a landmark with deep historical and religious importance. - Sidenote 2: It was way back in April of 2007, Chapter 158 that we learn about Shunsui Hairpin and the Kimono from bonus pages in the manga. It’s only of note because many don’t know that Kubo tends to invent characters with tons of lore but he picks and chooses when to reveal it (sometimes he just keeps it tucked claiming ā€œit’s a secretā€). The Content covered here happens in chapter 652, a long way away from 158. - Sidenote 3: Another point to consider is that thus far every OG royal guard member has turned into or was some divine eldritch creature

[Tidbits Ep.37] - We don't know if Shunsui is her uncle, Shunsui's brother was married to Nanao's Mother a long time ago, when Shunsui was a teen, which we know is long in regards to Shinigami years. (The concept of him sharing the burden of responsibility instead of taking it on all by himself was impressively expressed through his moment with Nanao) - - In the manga the title for the chapters covering the Shunsui/Nanao stuff is called "The Theatre Suicide" which mostly seems to reference his Bankai. I find this fascinating because Shunsui seems very dejected and world-weary throughout the entire story, and when he activates his Bankai everyone near it begins to feel a sense of despair and darkness. I presume this is all meant to tell us that Shunsui is possibly/likely suicidal, and his Bankai spirit telling him to "go to sleep" and that she'll take him away (on top of her previously talking about a promise of them dying together) all lends to it, a Zanpaktou is of course an extension of the wielder. (My own belief, not explicitly factual regarding Shunsui’s character) - Many fans often questioned the Nanao ancestral blade concept, feeling that it’s (understandably) overly convenient, and came completely out of the blue. but, as I’ll express again later, Kubo tends to have lore in mind long before it’s revealed. [Thoughts Ep.38] - Haschwalth obviously dealt with physical abuse from his Uncle, but with the scene and voices here in the anime some (including myself) believe he’s also dealing with sexual abuse. The lines ā€œYou can’t do anything without meā€ and how twisted the Uncle’s voice became when he said ā€œmy precious Jugoā€ seems to suggest as much. This reality certainly plays a role in Haschwalth's need to feel useful or wanted without circumstance. We see this gave him a semblance of joy with both Bazz-B and Yhwach, people who appreciate and want him around for who he is, people who actually appreciate his worth. - We learned a few things from Kluboutside, for example Bazz-B’s and Haschwalths Schrifts are a reference to their friendship. Bazz-B has H and Haschwalth has B. We also know that those Schrifts are based on trauma’s and we see here that Bazz-B’s clan was burned down. (Additionally this battle was eluded two when Haschwalth was caught in Senjumaru’s Bankai) - What’s interesting about Bazz-B and Hascwalth is that though Bazz-B proclaims that the revenge is for both of them, we never hear it from Hascwalth himself. It’s likely that Hascwalth actually had little issue with what happened given that he was being abused, but he was simply trying to help the only living person he cared for however he could. - As noted by Mr.Tommo, a Bleach deep-dive content maker, ā€œWorthā€ is a Major theme here between these two friends, even when Bazz-B believes that Haschwalth has no worth in regards to getting revenge he still chooses to keep him by his side, but the reality remains that he doesn’t need Haschwalth, but with Yhwach’s arrival Bazz-B is made aware that the roles were actually reversed. This realization hurts Bazz-B’s pride and the way he looks at Haschwalth is the nail in the coffin, Jugram already felt he had little purpose, the only link chaining them together was the actual Friendship. The issue is that Haschwalth has a warped understanding of worth and relationships due to his abuse, for him ā€œworthā€ is to be wanted and needed and a relationship must result in something being gained. Regardless,In this moment Jugram began to feel that Bazz-B no longer wanted or needed him, and here you have Yhwach offering him the exact opposite. [Personally I believe Yhwach used his foresight to manipulate this situation into happening, he seemed to know the best words to used and suspiciously let Bazz-B live when he destroyed his entire family, plus the scene specifically honed in on his eyes] - Sidenote: Kubo tends to make a duo with this opposing dynamic every major arc, and they always get the chance to fight. Byakuya/Renji, Ulquiorra/Grimmjow, and Haschwalth/Bazz-B - Sidenote 2: Bazz-B and Haschwalth seemed to have come from a period of time during the Middle-Ages or Medieval period. - Sidenote 3: I feel as viewers we are meant to think of worth and how people use it, how it affects the relationships between people, especially Yhwach and his followers or Ichigo and Uryu. - Sidenote 4: Haschwalth despite his stoic nature still has an underlying attachment to Bazz-B. This is worth mentioning because some fans somehow miss all the signs, with the most obvious being the fact that he still uses the sword with the B on it. [Reposted before watching]

The TYBW anime is actually "slower" and more fleshed out than the manga haha. They are adding (with Kubo heavily involved) way more original content and lore. Thats why I consider this the best adaptation ever animated

Tutty_o7

LETS GO EARLY BLEACH :D Also, for the Cour 4 question, there is no exact date set. We only know 'July 2026', so it could be shadow dropped any point during that month.

Please react to the Bleach 20th Anime Anniversary Official Trailer video. It's on the Bleach official YouTube channel. It's short but it's peak! Also, about the new season, i think i've seen another channel that was in a similar situation during the 3rd season of TYBW, and they kept the normal schedule for YouTube while also releasing the newest episode of the week on YouTube too.

Luker

friend was one of my most anticipated episodes this cour, i love bazz b so much especially after i read this part in the manga, hes my fav sternritter by far. i think i just like shitheads who are good at their core lmao

Cool that y'all are going to watch the official trailers, but I recommend not watching the "Teaser Trailer" since it does contain spoilers

Sohan Shetty

Man, I'm waiting for the final cour. There are a few Bankais coming which will make everyone in the anime world shit brix

Soul reapers attacked Quincy first let’s understand that

This episode is the one episode that made me cry so much, the way they spelt Friend with End got my heart... bazz-b and jugo haschwalth reminds me of gojo and geto and naruto and sasuke but unlike naruto and sasuke, sometimes, friendship can never be saved. if anyone has ever had a friendship broken or tore apart, reach out to them and forgive and reconcile. don't let your friendship end

JAS

Always hated the Nanao ass pull ngl.

Ultimate Winner

I think Kubo style is giving a lot but not giving enough where you still want more (mystery). So even if the anime was longer, he wouldnt give much more content. I doubt he make prequel, he prob give a new content you didnt think about

Brandon Holmes

Episode 38 is one of my favorite episode. Two characters we know little about, Kubo did a great job giving us a fight/backstory in 20mins.

Sammy

The friEND episode is one of my favs of Cour 3 🄹🧔 If the uncle gave you the creeps, your intuition was right 🤢 This is really important for Jugram's character. Note that taking revenge on Yhwach was Bazz' idea, Jugram just tagged along and doesn't actually resent Yhwach at all. In a fucked-up way, Yhwach tells Jugram the same things the pedo uncle did: "I need you" etc... Btw, Jugram has Bazz' emblem/pin on his sword šŸ’” He really treasured his friendship with Bazz. That's why he avoided a direct confrontation for as long as he could... until the bitter end šŸ’”

Weyard Wiz

Not really the only important scenes were the reactions to the meteor and maybe Robert accutrone auswallen

DON'T watch the Cour4 trailer šŸ™ There's a huge badass spoiler in it! It got us manga readers hyped for the grand finale, so, mission accomplished there. But with Cour4 coming out THAT soon, there's really no reason for Bleach newbies to spoil themselves that badly 🫔 Instead, watch the special video for Bleach’s 20th anniversary. The studio had released it before Cour3 aired. You can find it on YouTube: ā€œBLEACH 20th Anime Anniversary Official Trailer | BLEACH | VIZā€ Please check it out šŸ™ It’s spoiler-free and only around 2 minutes long, and it shows iconic scenes from the OG anime with modern animation quality. The glow-up is insane (and it also shows the real dark tone of the series) and it started a huge discussion about a full remake of the original series.

Christ_ Ian

First, we have Bazz-B, whose family was massacred by Yhwach, and Jugram, who was ā€œsavedā€ by him. Jugram and Bazz-B were friends, but their bond was somewhat superficial, as Bazz-B never truly tried to understand Jugram. Instead, he constantly assumed things about him. For example, Bazz-B kept calling him ā€œJugoā€ even though Jugram explicitly asked him not to, since that was what his uncle used to call him. Another instance is when Bazz-B claimed that neither of them had truly agreed on killing Yhwach, they had simply gone along with it. Jugram, in many ways, lacks a personal agenda. His uncle used to tell him that he could do nothing without him, and even if it wasn’t meant maliciously, Bazz-B ended up treating him in a similar way. That’s why Bazz-B’s gaze hurt Jugram so deeply: he realized that Bazz-B never saw him as an equal, but rather as someone beneath him, someone who needed him. In contrast, when Yhwach told Jugram that he needed him, Jugram gave in. In his mind, as long as he fulfilled his role as Yhwach’s other half, he could retain a sense of control over his own existence. I’m not saying that killing Bazz-B was justified, but their friendship, though genuine, was filled with miscommunication and misunderstanding. I think Bazz-B eventually realized this, which is why he insisted on fighting no matter the cost. He likely knew he would lose, but perhaps he believed that, through that confrontation, they might finally understand each other. Now for the Nanao part i loved the backstory and the lore. This is basically implying that there are zanpakuto that could be inherited/passed down. I wish for a full fleshed story in manga or anime about the nobles and the overall History of Soul Society

Weyard Wiz

37:16 AoT vibes! 38:30 Michelle "bazz/jugo is like eren/armin here" yep haha šŸ”„šŸ”„

Daniel Walker

I guess I will be repeating this till the last Bleach reaction video, CUZ I AINT GIVING UP ON IT!! Please check out Burn the Witch and Bleach movie 1. Anyone reading this, who might possibly join their live discussion once they finish Bleach, PLEASE mention these two as additional content they could watch while waiting for cour 4.

EARLY 😭

Castiel_01x

I wouldn't watch the first trailer, but you can watch the second one, as the first one has a major spoiler. For Cour 4, we have the release month for streaming, which is July. It could be released on Ichigo's birthday, which is July 15. We also have a theatrical release for Cour 4, where the first three episodes are shown, which is set to take place on June 25 in the US and on June 21 in Japan. Other countries have it too, so you have to check up on it. Sorry about the long comment, but these two episodes have so many dense layers. A very interesting thing is that if you go back to Senjumaru's Bankai, we essentially got to see how the Royal Guards were defeated before it was even revealed. Pernida was shown to be engulfed by black sand, and black sand translates to Kurotsuchi in Japanese, and it was Mayuri Kurotsuchi who defeated him. Lille, meanwhile, was shown to be in a dome with eight mirrors where his attack was reflected at him. Guess what? Lille was defeated by his own attack, where Nanao used Shinken Hakkyoken to reflect his attack. And Shinken Hakkyoken translates to Eight Mirror Divine Sword. This has led to the theory that Senjumaru's Bankai is a reality-weaving Bankai where their fates were sealed using her threads. 06:50 What Ohana meant at that moment was for Shunsui to die peacefully and not literally taking him away to another place. We never saw Nanao with a zanpakuto throughout the series. That should have raised the question of why that's the case. Every time she was involved, she always used Kido. Now we know why that's the case. We also know how names are so important in Bleach. Nanao's surname, Ise, is another hint at the truth about her zanpakuto. There's a shrine called the Ise Shrine in Japan, where there's an eight-mirror sword similar to Shinken Hakkyoken. Kubo similarly used that legend, like the legend of Excalibur, to raise the question of why Nanao does not have a sword. It was right in our face all this time. This ep also explains the context behind Shunsui's Bankai and the specific theatre play that he used against Lille. The backstory started with a pine tree depicting the life that his brother and his sister-in-law had, and he used that to form the base for his theatre play, as we see a literal presentation of a pine tree in his Bankai. There's a theory about how the Shinken Hakkyoken was the sword used to dismember the Soul King, which would explain why the Ise family has a curse on them. This would also explain why the Central 46 was quick to execute Nanao's mother for the displacement of a sacred treasure. I really love the fatherhood theme behind Mayuri-Nemu and Shunsui-Nanao. Sure, Shunsui is her uncle, but there's a clear depiction of how he has taken on a fatherly figure and how he had to step aside to let his daughter in Nanao grow by standing on her own accord. It's a nice contrast to the motherhood theme that we saw in Cour 1 with Unohana-Kenpachi and Masaki-Ichigo. Shunsui is a character who is clearly burdened by the responsibilities on his shoulders. We know how he is a nonchalant guy, and yet when we lost Yamamoto, he took that vacant gap for the betterment of the world while neglecting his own needs. And Nanao was able to help him offset that to an extent by taking away the responsibility of holding such a sword in his custody. Lille's defeat was set to happen the moment he committed blasphemy by feeling good about being called a god, playing on the Christian themes. He introduced himself as a messenger of god but as he went on his power trip, he lost that realisation, having felt good about being called a god. It's similar to Gremmy's defeat and how that was also set to happen as Gremmy committed blasphemy, having crept into Yhwach's, who is the god, territory by creating life itself. It also raises the question of whether this sword would work on Yhwach. But the thing is, Yhwach was a god, but after absorbing the Soul King, he has evolved to become a being that surpasses even that due to the meta element at play. So it would not work on him anymore. Shunsui was also told how he would not be affected if he took the sword. And yet that was proven false as he lost everyone who were dearly to him. His father figure in Yamamoto, his friend in Ukitake and a colleague in Unohana. The old couple who took in Nanao after she lost her mother is theorised to be Shunsui's parents. We also had a setup for the Nanao flashback way back in the Soul Society arc. When Rukia was about to be executed, we saw Nanao being visibly distraught even though she had no connection to Rukia. Shunsui was seen consoling her at that time. So the theory is that Nanao's mother was executed the same way Rukia was going to be, which caused Nanao to reflect on those memories. Nanao said at the end how Shunsui was the one who supported her from the beginning, and how it was the same as she was fighting Lille too. But it's her decision to take the burden of the curse that supported Shunsui as well. That's the basis for a healthy relationship. Lille's Trompete attack has connotations to the Christian lore, as it signifies the end of time. Shunsui said he did not have a good relationship with his brother, but that was before his brother got married, after which things changed. This was revealed in the episode itself. I disagree with the take that the flashbacks could have been extended. See how much information I was able to convey from a flashback that was not even one entire episode. Extending it would have meant that it would have been padded out, and even if you were able to portray all these layers I talked about, it would have been spoon-fed, which is anything but Bleach. It would take away the charm that Bleach has when its build on such sub-texts. Also, the very need to know all those things that you guys mentioned is what makes the worldbuilding so good. But remember, this story is about Ichigo and his life, and while it's necessary on occasions to expand on other characters, too much of it would have strayed away from the message that the mangaka is trying to portray. So it's very important for a mangaka to take such decisions with care on how they should approach the story. I'm not sure if you have heard about Souls-like games. Bloodborne, Dark Souls, and Elden Ring, for example, have such rich worlds. There are many things that the games could have focused on, but we are only given a world through the lens of a protagonist. Context on the other stuff can be given to an extent, but the rest is up to our imagination. Our imagination is only limited by our experiences, and once you broaden that scope, the limit is endless. I often compare Bleach to such works in the sense of how the story is portrayed. Such stories give way to theorising so many things, digging into the subtexts, and that's so interesting, instead of being spoon-fed every single piece of information. 27:41 Bazz-B cutting through the Sternritter symbol, showing how they're not fighting as Sternritters but rather friends, is just so good. This is further played upon through Jugram, who did not use any of his powers, as he wants to settle things on the same terms that they became friends. Jugram was also in Senjumaru's Bankai, and he was seen to be surrounded by fire. That did set up the fight against Bazz, who had fire powers, but unlike Pernida and Lille, who fell, Jugram did not. I leave it to you guys on why that's the case. Yes, unfortunately, Ron is right about how Jugram's uncle treated him. There are implications of molestation and stuff. The way the shine in Jugram's eyes went out as soon as he heard his uncle's voice was so sad to see. He must have been terrified. Jugram-Bazz is the epitome of how a flawed relationship works. Bazz never told Jugram about his true feelings that he gained in his quest for revenge. Jugram did not tell Bazz that he never wanted revenge. They both needed each other as they lived through their hardships, which caused them to hide their feelings. And we see the implications of it when Yhwach arrives, as Bazz develops envy/jealousy towards Jugram as his need for revenge overcomes him. And as Ron said, Jugo wants to feel wanted. That's why he teamed up with Bazz despite having no ill feelings towards Yhwach. But the moment he realised Bazz's aversion, he switched his loyalty to Yhwach. Yhwach was also very manipulative here. He could have got Jugram anytime he wanted, as he had the powers of the Almighty at this time, but he chose this very specific moment, as he knew this would have swayed Jugram's feelings towards him just like he wanted. Yhwach also manipulated Bazz here as he tells him his powers are the result of being in the presence of Jugram. But we saw that Bazz always had the talent to begin with. So with that comment, Yhwach was able to channel Bazz's feelings for revenge into a competition with Jugram to prove his worth. That eventually led to his enlistment in the Sternritters, which Yhwach took advantage of in his quest for war. Considering how Bazz's and Jugram's relationship was built on miscommunication, it elevates the battle between them in the first place. In Bleach, battles are a form of communication. Jugram kept ignoring Bazz's taunts all this time, as he knew the foundation of their friendship was built on the lack of communication. So he also knew if they had communicated, it would have ended. So he kept ignoring Bazz as long as he could until this moment, where they finally had to communicate through battle and set aside the miscommunication, essentially ending their friendship. Very tragic indeed. That's why I believe Bazz was truly happy and prideful for Jugram near his death for having the journey that he had. It was also interesting how we did not get a shot of Jugram's eyes at the end. In fact, they go on to show his face, where the blood on his face was presented as a teardrop at the end. Very, very good stuff. The Friend episode is presented in a way that it feels like we are watching the story of a protagonist. That adds to the similarity of the dynamic between Ichigo-Uryu and Bazz-Jugram. There are some very clear connotations between them.

You must didn’t read the manga.. there’salot of cuts too …. Especially with gremmy

BiGChocolate008šŸŒ€

Kubo recently answered an interesting question on his website. Q: The Ise clan is supposed to be a matriarchal line of priestesses who presided over rituals, but what sort of rituals did they actually perform? Kubo: Since ancient times, they have primarily carried out rituals to appease what is referred to as 'Amatsu-sama' We don’t know who ā€œAmatsu-Samaā€ is but we are guessing it might be another body part separated from The Soul King who became a sort of deity.

ZenoN

They can watch the latest one that came out, no spoiler in it.

Friend is easily my favorite episode of Bleach, thank u for your reactions guysā¤ļø

But if they search for it on YT, the one trailer with you-know-what as thumbnail(!!!) will appear 😬

Levelingup

Bazz b watched his mom head get popped off and village get burned down and swore revenge. He assumed jugo would want revenge since his uncle also died in the fire but to jugo he was saved by the fire. Jugo uncle was a pdf so in jugo eyes yhwach saved him. Jugo Being told he was needed by yhwach was enough to make him switch on the revenge plan that his heart was never in on to begin with.

Kelz

Tbh they should watch all the Bleach movies in between time until the new season starts since they will be caught up after next upload

Already bought my ticket for the theater releases lol

I'd defo be down, but Idk about them...

Mel - SƫrƫnƤ

I liked Bazz B too!!! It was really sad that last fight 🄺 As for the release date, I'm in Belgium and we'll have the first 3 cour 4 episodes on cinema at the end of this month, I'm about to buy tickets for it šŸ˜šŸ¤©šŸ˜Ž

DRoger

The Ise sword most likely predates the creation of Asauchi being given to the Shinigami from Squad Zero, specifically because it's been kept in the family and it doesn't "return" to manifest elsewhere when the user dies. I also personally theorize that it is connected to the soul king, and was probably the sword used to divide/disperse his power and maybe even his own Zanpakuto!

DarkestNights

Ron really hated Lille Barro, understandable, the character and design become very controversial after his transformation, though the lore behind it is very cool. Still, that MOFO was strong asf.

DRoger

Just realized that the scene where Bazz&Jugo are watching the Quincy slay everyone in the village is basically what we'd see if the Uchiha clan if they actually pulled off their raid. Wouldve been interesting to see, but Itachi and Obito said NOPE lol

Donnie S

Any chance watching the filler arc for bleach before or after cour 4? I do say they are a pretty good watch.

Usgaroth

Manga doesn't go into any more depth, it got rushed. Anime goes into more depth with Kubo telling all he can. And cour 4 is mostly fresh content.

Shane Dalton

You should react to bleach ost’s for a video on YouTube

Kayso

What a beautiful episode. Loved this backstory, plus seeing how Shunsui got the kimono. This is my second favorite episode after Shunsui's bankai episode. So Nanao, his lieutenant is his niece which makes so much sense from their relationship, he's always there for her and protects her. Lille Barro design was trash last time but they did him even dirtier this episode lol. Bazz B and Haschwalth episode definitely AOT vibes. Felt that way my first time watching. Kubo's backstories are masterclass

Kayso

I also wanna add too since they are wanting more Bleach: Zanpakuto Rebellion arc, Bleach movies are a good idea and also episode 228

SkyesRain

those 2 episodes are awesome i loved these with the 2 backstories. i really liked Nanao's Zanpakuto and i really liked Bazz B i thought he was so cool like Grimmjow

Akimitzu

LMAO! the END of FRIES. Ron has been on one. yall keep killin it fr. LOVE these reactions. I think yo uguys are seeing why BLEACH is ahead of everyone...the production is literal cinema levels. Pair that with a genius like Tite Kubo and his pen? pssssssh...literally a 1 of 1 bro.

I am with you there, I am so intrigued by all of the elite sternritters too! I wish we would have spent time learning about them more. And Squad zero as well, learning more about all of them and possibly getting to see all their bankais. But I understand that I am asking for too much

jordan

Bun The Witch is a really good suggestion

BP

I mean, knowing her family curse, what other man would want to be with Nanao's mom after what happened to her husband. It's highly likely that she was pregnant when he died. We don't know how long pregnancies last for them or how long some stay kids. Hitsugaya is still a kid and Nanao was very young when Shunsui was still in the academy meaning she is quite old. It's much more likely he's her uncle than not. And the mom was sent back to her family, I think they would have mentioned her getting remarried.

Emil Kolev

Those backstories feel like a whole other anime. Great episodes, all of it!

but thats the problem...how do you hype up people for cour4 without spoiling cause literally its impossible, everything is a spoiler! T-T

Levelingup

I feel you but they definitely didn’t need to show the you know what in it lol. Ifykyk they had enough in the trailer that could’ve gone without showing the thing lol.

Daniel Walker

Yes! Join me in suggesting this, yall. They don't read comments on Bleach posts no more, but hoping once they are caught up, which should be next week.

Levelingup

not to sound like a old head back in the day trailers didn’t spoil so much. movies trailers did enough to hook you in without adding so much.

Levelingup

You nailed it my guy

Ultimate Waifu

Wow, you guys caught that! No one EVER catches young Bazz falling on the woman to break his fall right before her body end's up crushed beneath the rubble. You guy's have become my favorite Bleach reactor's since JamiUWU.

Sammy

Not a spoiler, you can tell from that episode alone.

XXI

i would like the OG captains stories !!

AlexR

Soul

Malik Ford

Bleach is 1a and 1b with Naruto in the big 3

Cuorion

Y'all keep asking for more backstories, and it's understandable, considering all other shounen out there, but this is Kubo's style, really. He always gave just enough to make sense, and trusted his audience to fill in the blanks on their own. This is why Bleach is so good, really. It is written like a book, where your imagination takes over and "watches" (instead of "reads") through the lines.

Cuorion

Imagining Ron reading through hundreds of pages and going off the rails every 3rd line is indeed intriguing. :P

Masked Void

The curse has existed long before Nanao's mom and it never stopped anyone b4, plus we're talking nobility so im sure they have several potential arrangements

Thamor

That "Follow the light" jokes were funny =)

I always tell people if you dont like the way lille design looks then kubo did a amazing job drawing him. Lille is suppose to depict a biblically accurate angel. They look grotesque and alien like because the human brain cant comprehend looking at such a divine being. Thats why angels in the bible alwasy tells humans dont be afraid when they confront them

Bro Ron, the anime has not ended yet at least as far as I know I’ve watched this on Hulu. It ends at a certain point, which will be continued soon. Watching this the second time around I honestly think that the blonde guy is a traitor. I don’t even know if Ishida is actually a traitor because it seems too obvious to me and it’s not in the foreseeable future. It’s obvious because we know everything that’s happened in the past. I would think it would be more of a twist if he actually is straight up on the Quincy side. That would blow my mind.

Rafidar Rahman

also Hubert and Captain Levi got the same voice actor LOL

The second half of cour 3 did a great job with all the backstories! We see the tremendous amount of guilt and responsibility that Shunsui carries and the strength of his relationship with Nanao. The sadness that Shunsui feels about his brother and sister-in-law is heartbreaking, but his support of Nanao is absolutely beautiful 🄹 Them working together to combat Lille (I think Kubo made him too powerful, but it gave us these working together, so I'll forgive it lol) is very wholesome 🄹 The great backstories continue with Jugo and Bazz B (Ron, you're right, I want longer backstories, too; btw, these episodes expand the content that's in the manga). Their friendship is such a complicated one. Bazz B simultaneously put Jugo down and built him up. Bazz definitely saw himself as better than Jugo and took it upon himself to "take care of the talentless one." What revelation for him to discover that his talent was largely the result of Jugo! Jugo likely felt a kinship with Juha because Juha was the first one to see the potential in him. That trumped his friendship with Bazz B (him catching Bazz B's helig pfeill in both the past and present is beautiful visual storytelling). The way Bazz B looked at Jugo while Juha explained Jugo's abilities says a lot about their relationship. Sad episode, especially seeing Bazz B fall at the end 😢
