Definitely one of the best backstories. Law is up there for me. We still have more to watch so you'd have to wait to rank backstories and see which is the best. This backstory is the first time we're hearing Drie which is the Drie pirates. The kid you saw was Drake which was one of the rookies so you got it right Ron. RIP Corazon 😭❤️

Drake is roughly 7 years older than Law. Drake was 31 when he was introduced, whereas Law was 24.

Because they showed him multiple times on purpose and when he was introduced they called him the fallen navy soldier or something like that lol

Cora-san was able to do for Law what he sadly could never do for Doffy. Looking at Law when they first met was just like catching a glimpse of his own brother all those years ago; another unfortunate boy scarred by the circumstances this cruel world has dealt them. It's fair to assume one of his deepest regrets was never being able to help/save his last remaining family member. It's part of why he got so attached to Law after all. Cora-san was always a kind and empathetic guy, so it's pretty likely he also carried some guilt for their family's fate even though none of it was ever his fault. When you consider this, Cora-san's final days become especially heartbreaking as he saved not only Law's life but also his soul. An act of love he was never able to give Doffy during the time he needed it most. A truly bittersweet redemption for him just moments before his own brother executes him. In the end Cora-san was just an unlikely hero with a big heart who cared way too much for his own good. A sincere and gentle man certainly befitting of the name "Corazon".

I think you're confusing Drake with Kid, Ron. Kid was the red-haired character who fought the Navy on Sabaody alongside Law and Luffy after Luffy punched the Celestial Dragon. That was also the very first time we saw Kid's magnetic powers. But you're right about the thing that Drake is also one of the Worst Generation. He was the pirate who transformed into a dinosaur during the fights on Sabaody. He had the X scar on his chin, and his hair is more of a reddish-brown compared to Kid's hair.

Yo! Just as an FYI, if I did my math right on July 3rd through the 5th you will be reacting to One Piece episodes 720 to 725. I don’t think this is a requirement but it is heavily suggested because there are two big cliff hangers in that bunch where it would be beneficial to watch 721 and 722 together and 725 and 726 together, so if you did a trip drop for 720, 721, and 722 then 725 and 726 would naturally go together and you would capture both those cliff hangers. Just tossing it out there. Thanks!

One of the best things about One Piece is that even though the Strawhats are the main characters of our story, they aren’t the main characters of the One Piece world. There are so many characters with major stories going on parallel to the Strawhats. Law’s story just happened to intertwine with the Strawhats.
