Beautiful ending to an amazing show! Also I’m pretty sure that the characters in the digital circus are the brain scanned mind copies of the irl people, hence the “neural scans”. Not that Cain made them from searched information. Thats why the headset thing is a legit memory

I really enjoyed this show but I do wish they handled Jax a little differently. It kind of just feels weird to me that they would focus so much on Jax in the second half of this show just to have him abstract off-camera. It just kind of feels like for the people that relate to Jax that there isn't really any hope for them since Jax never truly changed for the better. Regardless, the show was still good. Just really wish Caine figured out how to reverse the abstracted people and we get to see a scene with Jax finally making up with Ribbit. Also would've been nice seeing Kinger and his wife reunite. I'm just not a fan of bittersweet endings but oh well.

I think you missed the point Jax passing away was a symbolism to suicide, one minute they are there and the next they just aren't.

If you want to you could watch more from Glitch productions. I recommend watching Murder drones it’s just a good watch and it’s already done. But definitely keep an eye on this channel they have a lot more series lined up some of which already have pilots😉

And also to come back to this and say it’s not weird how they focused on Jax in half of the episode,he was a mystery and not to mention people had a lot of questions about him so in a way everything led up to this point with Jax, and how is it weird that they focused on him when every character got a episode about them how they felt and what they were going through.

I feel like it being off screen was kind of the point. Its sudden you don't have time to really sit with it or prevent it. They are there one second and the next they aren't. It's also fairly hinted imo that it was him doing it on purpose which is commonly done alone.

okay, so I don't want to type a whole book down here but this show was truly something very special to me. the expression of every character felt so fulfilling and I felt like I could relate heavily to every single one of them. this ending hit at a very vulnerable part of my life and I resonate especially very heavily with jax. anyway, I'm so glad you guys watched this show and it was awesome watching with yall. 💖 to expand on some things that happened in the finale that came off as confusing to some people; everybody in the circus is a brain scan of a real person, who for whatever reason, for one reason or another, put on the headset at that C&A facility. Jax's backstory with his mother very heavily implies that he was a closeted trans woman, and as a trans woman myself who felt exactly like Jax before coming out, it made this finale hit like a truck. 😭 Jax never got to come out because they couldn't accept themselves for what they'd done to ribbit and kaufmo, instead abstracting along side them. which leads to the final thing; abstraction, which as we know it is basically the death of the mind. as I stated, they're all mind scans, so when the files corrupt, they scramble and abstract, effectively working as a death of the character. but theyre still there as a memory. this show makes me cry every time and I love it sm :3
