no bc the one thing i’m afraid ab this is that the remake won’t give that love for the characters as much as the regular show, one piece is over 1000 episodes long as yes it has pacing problems and some episodes that are slow but it brings us along the ride and it brings us on the journey with the strawhats and hear every joke and side quest they do and i hope they don’t take a lot of those jokes and bits away

with the remake they following the manga and wit studios and togei animations are working together on this remake 7 episode 45 minutes each all to the first 50 chapters of the manga also its going to be sub and dub its just the trailer just dub

It's basically DBZ:KAI, cutting all filler and new animation of the pre-time skip Arcs but completely remade so they're not reusing animations like kai did. They're dropping 7 episodes covering the first 50 manga chapters in February. Heard OG cast is returning, lowkey wish they recasted everyone for the remake because they will get halfway through it and will have to replace half of them like OG Franky VA

Kai sucks compared to Z. OST is way better in Z. Hopefully WIT piece is actually equal if not better. For remakes I mainly care for ost and animation. The dialogue doesn’t drop often but that’s obviously important too.

So THE ONE PIECE is going to be in English and Japanese. It's meant to redo the anime with modern day animation and they stated that they will fix the issue with pacing. So the arcs are going to be shorter now this is where the OG one piece fans are hesitant because we don't know how much or what they will cut out.

I was comparing it to kai because kai cut out some filler and up the animation, they reused instead of re doing it completely like WIT studios is doing. Also, Z dub dialogue is ASS compared to Kai. Even the dub VAs said they didn't know what they were doing when they were dubbing Z, they make Goku sound like superman. At least Kai dub matches the sub/manga

It's 7 episodes, each around 40 min long. This first batch should get to about halfway through Baratie, presumably right before the Zoro vs. Mihawk duel as the big cliffhanger. It's unclear just how far this adaptation will continue on for, but for sure they will cover all of the East Blue arcs at least.

Lmfao i compared the one piece remake to kai and tigger you Faulconer stans lol Plus they are watching in DUB so kai dialogue is better to enjoy, if they are watching SUB then Z will be better to enjoy. I watched both too ( Z & Kai and i also watched SUB & DUB) and grew out of the nostalgia feeling. The OST yall obsessed about doesnt appear until episode 75ish, I hate bruce faulconer stans, not even his music.

Completely redoing the anime following the manga and uncensored - if im right this is not the whole anime, this is making the catch up to one piece a lot more doable , instead of 1000s of episodes it'll be like 100 or something

i think no one really knows what/how they gonna do it. the 7EPs we get next year took them 3years(?) also ngl i hate that they force luffys japanese VA to voice luffy for the remake too

Haha it’s preference brother. I grew up on ocean dub and funimation dub. I saw Kai in my teen years and liked it. I just lean heavy on vegeta and his moments in the original ost because he’s my favorite and maybe mostly nostalgia talking. Your pro pic shows you also know the peakness of vegeta. Anyways I think the one piece remake will be better visually. That’s all guaranteed right now.

Yeah it really feels like it’s a promotional anime for the « real anime ». Like you watch this and be like « ok that was cool I will now watch the real anime » because it will probably cut tons of stuff. As much as one piece has real pacing issues, you don’t get to baratie in just few episodes without cutting tons of stuff. It’s a light version of op (which then doesn’t fix the pacing issue at all)
