I think the Gear 4 that fought the animal is weaker than Gear 4 that is fighting Doflamingo. I think somewhere Oda said that like even without powerup, the straw hat are steadily/gradually stronger than they were the island before. With 2 yrs, Luffy went from not being able to fight the beast to being able to fight beast in base. So I think Oda said Luffy needed it overcome the monster, not that he needs it anymore.

There actually is some reason to believe Luffy might die by the end of the story. During Enies Lobby thru the Marineford saga he went through and did a lot of stuff that was explicitly stated to shorten his lifespan. Not to mention A LOT of Luffy's journey so far has mirrored Gol D Roger's quite a bit, and well...Roger caught a terminal illness by the end of his life. So in enough years it might be the same for good ol' Monkey D. But hey, Luffy's just here for a good time not a long time

It’s funny because I agree with you about a lot Ron but I don’t believe in manifestation, I believe in hard work. I don’t believe luffy manifested anything, he just worked really hard to get to where he is and has even almost died multiple times due to this hard work to get where he’s at. When people try to tell me I “manifested” something in real life I tell them, no I worked hard for this and I didn’t just “say it into existence”. Luffy is working hard to become the king of the pirates, it’s hard work not manifestation.

I also thought about Luffy dying at the end of one piece because all the strain he puts on his body from these gears and Ivankov taking years off his life after he got poison at Impel Down...If Luffy dies it would legit be the saddest day of my life...still didn't got over Ace dying

This might sound really selfish, but unfortunately I think Episode 732 ends on a pretty major cliffhanger. I honestly think wrapping up the weekly uploads with Episode 733 would feel much more satisfying, and I don't think you'd regret it. Would it be possible, just for next week, to upload Episodes 731–733 together so we still get 7 episode videos for the week?
