Im someone who LOVE a wide variety of shows.. from fruits basket to AOT or like idk that Darker than black to invincible but let me tell you.. Fruits basket is psychological mind f*ck of an anime wrapped in a slice of life and I'm going to be honest the newer series can get wrapped up a lot more in The Slice of Life but I think in the end you will be extremely happy having kept going because all of your questions are answered and wraps up in a full and completely satisfying way.. I cant say if its good or bad for spoilers but its an ending that really shows up and delivers at least. :)

Personally, I love romance and slice-of-life, so I enjoy the storytelling and savor every single moment of Fruba. We already know Ron's anime preferences, so we expected the slower moments to be less interesting to you. That said, we know Michelle will love this anime, and elements like the Zodiac animals should make it interesting for Ron.

I get where your coming from Ron season 2 is definitely slower especially if your not a huge fan of romance, I personally would love too see y’all continue this show I mean y’all are more than half way done anyway but I would understand if y’all didn’t continue it.

I love Yuki, and I really respect the way he treats her like a true gentleman. But Kyo treats her like someone who is genuinely, deeply in love with her. Since neither of them is dating her yet, he still gives her personal space and never tries to force his feelings on her. He simply cares for her quietly and does what he believes is best for her. That’s why my heart is fully Team Kyo!!!!! 😭🧡 also I'm sorry ron I completely disagree with the toxic part.... And please keep going with the show until the end 🥹 you will feel most refreshed at the end unlike any other anime

I don’t think you guys should stop it wouldn’t make sense but I understand you feeling that it’s a bit slow but honestly that’s the beauty of the story building along with the characters and the story. But to answer the question Tohru should 100% be with kyo because I think they both understand each other on a certain level and accepts each other for who they are while with yuki it’s no doubt that he loves her but I feel it’s not really romantic especially over time, I think as he continues to figure himself out he just sees tohru as like a comfort person

I understand where you are coming from Ron, but I promise you that your patience will be rewarded 😂 Right now we are in one of those focused character building stretches with slice of life elements, but the overall plot will soon be taking off and your questions will be answered. Keep in mind that this series tends to drip feed important info in almost every episode, even if it doesn’t seem like it right now. It all comes together in the end, and it’s sooooo worth it. Fruits Basket is considered a classic among anime for a reason! 🧡🍙💙

When you feel there's an episode you don't really like, you get rewarded right after so its worth it Ron. I'm damn near done with this season and there are episodes after this one that I'm not a fan of so I know you won't like them either. At the same time there are also great episodes after this one. Like the comments saying, the pay off is worth it Torhu should absolutely end up with Kyo. Plus Torhu was always a fan of the cat zodiac so why not. Also feel like they vibe more with eachother Remember Anko Mitarashi from Naruto lol Orochimaru's student. She eats the dango. That's where her name means "Mitarashi dango". Cool that Michelle pointed out Uotani eating the dango

Fruits Basket is my fav anime but hey I get it, not everyone is into this slice of life stuff and that is okay. Ron you can have your opinion and don’t say it is wrong, it is just an opinion. I am glad you give it a try despite of it not being your genre and Michelle enjoys it as far as I can tell. Keep watching, you are almost done so would be sad to quit here. I resubscribed because I saw you started this show and now also because of steins:gate 😄

I feel like its slow because of the time they took to introduce each one of the zodiacs and their backstory thats maybe why you’re conflicted but I promise it gets even better!!! But we respect your opinions ron, slice of life is very different from what you guys usually watch so thats understandable, but please keep going

Michelle is me, me is Michelle! Ever since she started watching this anime, I totally have the same opinion lol. And yeah, team Kyo right from the start! He does understand Tohru more than anyone else. She’s usually the zodiacs’ therapist, but it’s two-way with Kyo. Our favorite characters have been the same in this show as well! And for Ron, I totally get it. There are slow episodes (and I think we find the same episodes/scenes a drag), maybe I just like the other characters more and feel more emotional with it that’s why I power through. Don’t worry though, I think the worst has passed. The good parts will come!

Also to add, if you need my opinion lol: I used to be a crow since you started with KNY, and joined patreon years ago. I remember recommending this show! I joined patreon again years later because I learned you’re finally reacting to Furuba! So there’s definitely people like me lol. I assure you, the views will pick up when the show starts to pick up again. There’s still so much mystery here that you will never expect.

I feel like it probably feels much slower to you because you're reacting to just 1 ep at a time but please continue the show!! I really liked this episode since it's the first time we are seeing Tohru start noticing that she has feelings for Kyo!! I also love how they drew all the scenery so accurately!

Honestly Ron, my sister loves this show, but it was hard for me to get into it. I've tried 2x to watch this show, and honestly i'm only watching it now because of you guys lol. So if you guys finish or don't- I'm not mad at all lol. btw, I prefer Yuki cuz he treats her better, even if I know Kyo is just clumsy about being nice and sweet, but still doesn't take away that he can say mean things

i took a step back from watching with you guys every week bc i enjoy binging this show rather than watching 1 episode at a time. it’s genuinely my favorite anime i love it a lot but yeah you just have to understand with the genre and the nature of this show its very character driven. you have to understand the characters to really get the pay off when all the crazy stuff get revealed. this anime isn’t just gonna hand it to you. honestly this anime is one big character study and understanding trauma and human interaction. it’s deep and it’s slow. you don’t have to like it i just hope you give it a chance until the end.

okay another comment bc i just finished the reaction lol but i def ship her more with kyo. i’m a little confused on your reasoning ron why you think tohru would be happier with yuki and why you think it’s more toxic with kyo😭 i agree with michelle kyo always notices the little things with tohru and understands her like no one else does in the show. we see that multiple times throughout the show where its kyo who actually sees tohru’s vulnerable side. i love yuki but i never saw chemistry at least mutually between him and tohru. if anything it looks one sided on yuki’s part. in this episode we see that tohru actually thinking of kyo a lot more. i do enjoy the reactions tho so yeah hope you stick with it!
