Akuzino

Raden

Ichibe low key more of a bad guy than Ywach or Aizen lol

Tay

Yokoso

ra-TH_

LET'S GOOO 21:39 will go down as the greatest reaction ever to this šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

ronn

orihime the goat šŸ„¹ mvp

Shakir

Bro chocked on Zaraki Kenpachi LMAOOO valid as fuck

Shakir

More like his version of peace is centric to his people prosperity. Donā€™t blame him too much to be honest

Pandrix

This episode was done by a solo animator, which is very impressive but goes to show how healthy the production of C4 is. Now that the "movie" is done we are in for a treat with the rest of this cour

K2

LETS GOOOO

Michael

That spit at kenpachi was valid šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

David Waller

Fully convinced Ron would leave Michelle for Zaraki šŸ˜‚

IcoNIC

Cmon Orihime you betta give Hinata tease!!!! You betta protect our man lmao

Nero Luv

Hype for what Hitsugaya has up his sleeve. He and Kenny had great pull ups this episode. Might Guyā€™s pull ups are legendary too. You know business will get handled if he pulls up.

Austin Harris

Y'all ain't ready for next week.. I have been waiting for this moment for so long

P3rcy

Thanks for spoiling me with the thumbnail. Appreciate it.

Brandocommando

How blessed we are that we are alive are finally able see ichigos horn of salvation form

JAS

Sounds like Yhwach did nothing wrong then.

Quique

Gerard is the strongest yeah, there has always sort of been a debate with him and Lillie (and I suppose with the anime now, maybe Jugram).

Raden

This is why I love Bleach haha. Theres no true single villain, all a matter of perspective imo

KazumaSpitfire

That new Ichigo form was hype as fuck in the theaters, and the little comedy between Byakuya and Toshiro was so funny since everyone had to read the subtitle first then laugh lol

JAS

Yhwach did nothing wrong. He's as much a bad guy as Ichibe and the Shinigami who have significantly more blood on their hands.

Jnasty

OK, but he ain't need to do all that to Hueco Mundo tho lmao. Also, he's trying to destroy the current status quo held up, whether morally or immorally, by the Shinigami of a balance of souls between the three worlds. Destroying all life as we know it isn't justified because they forced his dad into a crystal, imo.

Yumaaa

womp womp

Teddy Roo

This was said before in the miyuri fight and episodes after when Gerald was mentioned Gerald was rumored to be the Heart of the soul king. Pernida was rumored to be the left hand of the soul king. Mimihagi(was inside ukitake) was the right hand of the soul king.

Lano

Yammamoto Bankai could kill Gerald before he powers up

zadegets faded

Oh I know who's voice that poem was ... Ron's gonna cream next episode

JAS

F*ck them hollows. Plus he's not just doing it for what happened to his pops, but to make a world where Quincy aren't just left to die and genocided by corrupt shinigami for using their gifts to defend themselves against hollows that actively hunt them down in an existence they never asked for. If Ichibei os doing what he's doing to keep Shinigami at the top then Yhwach cannot be looked at as a bad guy except by the tyrant Shinigami. There corruption and bloodshed span for thousands of years.

Ichigoat

I still give the strongest to Lille. Kubo wrote himself into a corner with the X-Axis making Lille immortal, intangible, pierce through space and bypass all defenses and had to come up with a bullshit way for him to be defeated. Enter the Shinken Hakkyōken

Quique

Thing is, the fact that it is mechanically impossible for Gerard to defeat Lille should make it so that it is possible. Just always tricky to rationalize his power given it is built around miracles.

Masked Void

[Thoughts] - The orihime scene is a perfect through line with what Aizen said about her powers. ā€œIt over steps the limitations set by Godā€ - Much of the Orihime/Ichigo battle is a nod to the dynamics they had in the Arrancar Arc. Think back to the Grimmjow battle where Ichigo fought out of desperation while fearing his own power, as Orihime also feared that Ichigo was losing himself - Yet here when she reaches out, we see that Ichigo is mentally stable and unlike last time she is here to assist in full instead of doubting who he is. Then we obviously have the through line set up by his hollow transformation we saw against Ulquiorra, last time it was done out of fear and lack of autonomy, but here it was intentionally invoked [We learned from Kubo that this form is called ā€œHalf Hollow Ichigoā€ - The concept of the Soul King's power being that of Chaos which takes the form is black is very interesting. First, in that the space that divides the worlds (The Garganta) is all black, so I find it fascinating that the worlds are all surrounded by Chaos, or rather held together by it. (Also that adds clarity as to why Ichigoā€™s final Getsuga Tenshou form is all black) - Many may fail to understand what Ichigo/Uryu mean when they say or choose to ā€œdestroy the worldā€, but to cut a long story short basically itā€™s a matter of what life means. In life we have purpose, we cannot let fear of a circumstance deprive us of what we want. Giving in to a system that operates against your purpose is a fate worse than death, because whatā€™s the point of living if youā€™re deprived of the things that make up your ā€œpurposeā€ (Itā€™s deeper than this, but I donā€™t want to write a whole book on it in the comments, lol) - Gerardā€™s Hoffnung Sword is a blade that embodies peopleā€™s hope, and sense an attack on hope lends to despair, damage to the blade reflects onto an attacker. This is a sensible ability if Gerard is in fact the Heart of the soul kings, given the having ā€œheartā€ is often symbolic of positive feelings. If you pay attention to the Ichibe scene, it appears he's some how fixing the blood oath seal which was linked to the lives of the Zero squads powers/lives

Berry

If i think who i think it is for the poem talking it might be a person kubo talked about in a q&a in his klub outside like a year ago. Cant say who i think it is but lets just say its the adult version of someone (they weren't in the manga btw)

Daniel Walker

Orihime reishi mogging Yuha, Ichigo's new form and a 3v1 fight against possibly the strongest Sternritter. Peak !!! Also, Gerard's sword means "hope" in German.

Brandon Solerr

its like that with every villain known to man. Its just perspective.

Raden

Tell that to Griffith and Johan Liebert, just to name a couple šŸ˜‚

Powered By Rice

@2:40 maybe it should be zoro vs kenpachi on your back...

Erik Matteus

was this entire episode in the movie or did they add more?

Kayso

Ironic because her and Hinata share the same VA in the dub lol

IcoNIC

Lying lmao now I have to listen for it!

TheRealN

One more week until I see a new episode. The bad thing about watching the first 3 episodes early is waiting for episode 4

Dannilo

The level of Ron's fangirl of Zaraki increase, guys! Calm down, someone will black out in few weeks.

BP

Oh boy, next episode is gonna be crazy.

Ultimate Winner

NGL the poem lowkey lied. It wasn't about Toshiro much, more about Ichigo/Orihime. But I do think we might have Orihime episode where we get her poem before the episode. (Anime-only pls dont spoil)

Ultimate Winner

Pretty sure Hell arc is a long time away. The manga hasn't started according to what people told me. Unless its a short arc, then it could be atleast 3 years before they even started animating it considering the manga has to get decently far. Then animation/production is atleast year long.

Ahupnatun

Haha I wont give any spoilers on strongest, but there has been a lot of online debates of just who has the strongest powers in bleach.

Ultimate Winner

I feel like Kenpachi Bankai has to be something can be strong enough to fight Gerald and maybe beat him. But can't be so strong that he win against Yhwach by himself or at all. Or else Ichigo fight vs Yhwach feels anticlimatic.

Ultimate Winner

Didnt the movie end on Ichigo's transformation?

Ilsuk Yang

Lots of anime-expanded content in this episode. The vizards going against Gerard wasn't in the manga, just a short skirmish with him going against Shinji and Momo, then the fight against Toshiro, Byakuya, and Kenpachi starts. They added in a lot of Orihime stuff in this episode for the Juha-Ichigo fight. In the manga, the Uryu-Haschwalth fight is much shorter. Uryu doesn't have quincy vollsterndich and Haschwalth doesn't have the Almighty-armor form in the manga. In a lot of ways, Gerard and his Miracle schrift are vastly upgraded versions of Yammy and his resurrecion, Ira. Yammy's abilities were too limited, so Kenpachi and Byakuya were way too much for him. Gerard is actually a threat, and not just to his 3 opponents, but to everyone. Anyway, get ready for some great action in the next episode, if the next episode continues the Gerard vs Toshiro, Byakuya, and Kenpachi fight. The anime has reorganized some of the events in the manga, so I hope we see a continuation of this fight. Might go back-and-forth between the 3 fights like it did in this episode, it might not.

Kayso

Lmao the timing of Ron drinking his water when Kenpachi shows up couldnā€™t be any worse. Then had to nerve to drink the damn water again after yā€™all rewound it šŸ˜šŸ’€ My favorites Kenpachi, Hitsugaya and Byakuya. Always love when theyā€™re on screen. Ichigoā€™s new form is so sick. Also extra Bleach content when yā€™all done: Bleach movie 4: Hellverse also Bleach ep 228 šŸ˜Ž

Kayso

Lmao like 90% of Naruto English VA cast also voices Bleach. Uryu is Shino, Kenpachi is Jiraiya, Hitsugaya is Neji, Ichigo is Sasori list goes on. So cool

akaryzen

ron is flexing his brain with this one šŸ’Æ

IcoNIC

TW

The movie did end there, but it didnt show us the last poem. Next week is gonna be beyond lit.

DarkestNights

It's crazy how Yhwach hasn't even moved an inch from the same spot that whole fight..

Pandrix

ā€˜Why do you clad yourself in black?ā€Remember Ichigoā€™s Final Getsuga Tensho, he was in black too, same as Yhwach. Direct foreshadowing. Look back at the Fullbring arc, Ichigoā€™s first Shikakusho cloak is that same black. Makes sense too since Old Man Zangetsu, the black cloaked figure guiding him all series, is literally his Quincy power modeled after a young Yhwach. Similarly Tensa Zangetsuā€™s young self is a mirror to young Yhwach, and obviously Zangetsu is a normal Yhwach Remember Ichigoā€™s eyes turning red during Final Getsuga too? Same as Yhwachā€™s Almighty. Feels like itā€™s pointing at Ichigo being one of very few who could even be considered Soul King material. Also, when Old Man Zangetsu first told Ichigo his name back early in the series, it came out unintelligible, garbled. Thatā€™s because his real name was Yhwach, and Ichibei had already smeared/erased it with his own Zanpakuto so he took on ā€œZangetsuā€

Naruto Uzumaki

Wellllllll no šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ywach wants to destroy everything but ichibeā€™s plan would just sacrifice one person to save everyone else. And if that one person ie ichigo seems to be down technically he not doing anything bad

Ultimate Winner

I dont know if you guys remember this. But in cour 2 when Ichigo went to Soul Palace with Squad 0. We see an interesting scene where Kyoraku Shunsui went to meet Ichigoā€™s human friend who never got stronger and gave them soul tickets to go to Soul Society to visit him. He said smth like Ichigo is training rn and he might become unable to visit Human World again. Im pretty sure he is referring to him becoming Soul King.

Captain Usopp aka God Usopp

Thats Kenpachi Unohana guys, Retsu Unohana..her voice is cold and warmth at the same time

Marcos

Yeah the first 3 episodes being in theaters didnā€™t really make it a movie. It was just a celebration of the show in a way for the beginning of the end. Itā€™s all one arc from the first cour to the end of this one. And now everyoneā€™s on the same page moving forward!

LuvStarburst

Ron you are fucking hilarious for that spit take, I was wondering what you were gonna do when he showed up. The love you have for Zaraki is just like everyone else. FYI the movie ended when Ichigo transformed and it showed off his horn. We never got to see the start of the fight with Gerard and the 3 goat's

Tingz

Orihime isnā€™t really needed here in my opinion like girl swerve go sit down and be pretty let ichigo fight and when he done, heal him

Tingz

Itā€™s a good time when Kenny pulls upā€¦. And Ron, old man Yama bankai (even without it) would fuck up Gerard šŸ’€

Teeskii

Nahh spitting the water out to put kenpachi šŸ† in ya mouth is wild brušŸ˜šŸ˜

Teeskii

Yoo Michelle hope u see this, yea it was taken in a comedic way, but Byakuya was basically ashamed and embarrassed talking to Hitsugaya because if u remember Byakuya was the reason Gerald even got that big when he ā€œoverkilledā€ himšŸ˜‚

Guille

Hey guys whenever your are doing your ending reaction please try to find a subtitled version or translated lyrics, it adds so much!

Sammy

You know you're a Kenpachi simp when you talk more about his comeback than Ichigo's transformation šŸ¤£

Shane Dalton

As a manga reader your not far off
