Big boy

I can’t wait until Z gets here

Usher

4:11 ANYONE WHO PLAYED BT3 FEELS CHILLS RN

Skrillz

DBZ was my very first exposure to anime and I fell in love with it as a kid, I still until recently have not seen Dragonball and I have loved watching that with you all lately. This has been very enjoyable to feel this nostalgia again. I can’t wait for Z and Super.

Berry

fun fact: goku never says he feels stronger in the manga and sub. he just says he feels a lot better. its like a 5th limb for him so just feels natural. him growing back his tail gave him a chance to break free

Skrillz

Also Goku is one of the best shit talkers in Dragonball I have noticed lol

Marco Garcia

I feel like 1 episode is not enough knowing they still have to go through Z, GT(if they are watching it), and super. Plus some movies

Volt

Giran randomly manifesting a little white flag so he can give up is hilarious

Martin G

You have a long road ahead!

Just_a_guy

"Yeah I get to fight him!" Goku-the first Kenpachi Giran calling Yamcha a fraud is so good

Kenshin

100%. If they don't watch GT, it will take them 3 years and 7 months! If you add in GT that's 4 years! That's not counting movies, specials, Daima, or breaks they take. Which would make it probably 5-6 years. That is insane. 2 years is a lot more reasonable imo. I hope they do watch GT though because I couldn't even make it through the first major villain so it would be more interesting to watch along with them. I also hope they watch DBZ Abridged!

Kayso

This episode was so good lol. Giren is hilarious and doesn’t seem that bad of a guy 😂 dude hit Goku with that gum gum fruit 💀 🤣

David Barron

There’s like a decade between the last episode of the Dragon Ball anime and the first episode of Dragon Tales. The English funimation dub did overlap with DT Tho.

Just_a_guy

They are not watching GT

Fellerz

Why not? That an L if they dont watch GT before Super & Daima

Benjamin Reacts

I’m always shocked how many people start with DBZ. Watching dragon ball first is SO important to knowing how massive it is that Goku and a certain someone team up in the first few episodes. Like a HUGE deal. Not having that context is just insane to me haha. It’s cool to live vicariously through you guys though. I’m glad you’re enjoying it! OG DB gets slept on so much. So many good moments to come, can’t wait for all of your reactions who are also watching for the first time.

Benjamin Reacts

GT should be watched last imo since it doesn’t line up with Super and Daimas timelines.

Adam

We need double drops at least!

Skrillz

Oh i get ittrust me. For me it was a different time my only access to anime was Cartoon Network and Toonami rush home from school to watch. and i didnt even think to go back or try to find the older one.

Just_a_guy

Gt is boring as all hell, fucking terrible man. Don't make them sit through it

Kenshin

@Benjamin Reacts It makes since if you look at anime at the time. In Amarica, DBZ was released first and blew up. We had some anime come over for decades before DBZ but it never reached the levels DBZ and Pokémon did at the time. Not even close. Most people's first time seeing DBZ was on Toonami in 1998. There were releases before but Toonami was when it really took off. Toonami didn't start airing DB until 2001. At that point, I was buying vhs tapes for dbz and db because they released way before Toonami aired them plus Toonami used the cut version. The tapes had uncut and cut versions. The tapes were cool because each session's tapes when lined up made an image from the season.

That's a sad state of why the dub is a steamy pile a donkey shit, and why people shouldn't watch as a lore reason these days. If they want to watch it for serious reasons anyways, it should always be (SUB/JP). Even then you have to find the correct translation, and there are better ones online otherwise you just get "dubtitles".

TheSamoanSaiyan

ngl i think 2 eps a week would be awesome but i understand you guys have a lot of other shows to react to

Jon

if they watch that super shit i will instantly unsub and dislike all the vids

k c

@Kenshin if you don’t get your butt on to GT…

branco marolia

Is it just me or did anyone notice the parody of the golden harvest logo from old Jackie Chan movies when the episode title popped up 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
