Tbh I think Oda makes a lot of characters look weird or off because it gives an individuality for each one. You don’t forget people often in this show. Same with the laughs it’s very unique which separates one piece from let’s say bleach that has a lot of style and drip for most of the characters.

The Breathtaking World of One Piece is worth watching for sure, it's been a while since I've seen it though so idk if it's fine for you to watch now. Maybe wait until you're at least at Wano just to be safe. I would also recommend finding time to watch One Piece Film Z before then too. It's not like it's necessary or anything, I just think you would appreciate a certain part of that video a bit more if you've seen Film Z beforehand.

I understand Raizo and Kanjuro is strange....looking. But gonna be honest, its the Oda special. He can design very cool looking characters, but most of the times he will just make a wacky looking char cause he felt like it. This isnt the first or last time he hype up a char, then gives a weird design. Kinda the appeal of One Piece and Oda, he kinda does what he want and his unique taste is how One Piece got made.

I love the Big 3 in their own ways. They have some overlapping good quality, but they all have their own thing that kinda sets them apart. For me, Naruto has the best fight in terms of choregraphy and the amt diff of fights you can get like an battle of strategy, big monster fight, and others. They arguably have the best flashbacks in terms of sadness. They also have the most iconic rivalry after Goku-Vegeta in Sasuke and Naruto. IMO the best antagonist group or antagonist except Kaguya. Prob the best power system of the 3. Bleach imo has the weakest main cast, BUT the side characters there are some of the best. Kenpachi, Shunsui, Aizen, Yamamoto. The best design, IMO best aura. The best fights in terms of messaging + themes. Top tier foreshadowing and planning. Some of the best entrances in anime. IMO the show that loves to be subtle. The show is prob the most easiest to rewatch or replayable of the big 3 in my eyes. Probably easily the most unique concept/vibe for a show. Sometimes formulaic in its fight. One Piece def has the most fluff and is more inconsistent. But they have the best interconnected plot, world builds and connect with each other in ways that no anime will ever match. Lots of easter egg and top tier foreshadowing/planning. The series has good comedic timing imo especially earlier one piece. In terms of designs, the most inconsistent but I would say the most daring character design. Prob the worst fights tho imo. Crazy entrances, a lot of great arc ending. IMO the best main cast concept + great side cast but it can be a bit bloated. Bro these flashbacks kills me sometime, up there with Naruto. In my eyes, its One Piece > Bleach (including TYBW) > Naruto >= Bleach (not including TYBW) Not going into who I think is better, BUT I think all MC and Deuteragonist fits the show perfectly. They embody the themes/messaging what each show is going for. They are all different. Naruto and Sasuke is rivalry, Rukia or Uryu and Ichigo are friendship, and Luffy and Zoro is a brotherhood imo.

About Ron feeling that Raizo’s reveal being anticlimactic. Reason for his design is simple, it’s One Piece. Yeah you’ll have cool looking characters but 9 times outta 10 you’ll have goofy or wonky designs, but I can’t wait till y’all figure out his VA 🔥 next episode is gonna be crazy. Even with your ranking right now Ron, you should wait to get caught up completely with OP so you can rank the Big 3 properly. OP World-building/Lore is top tier, I feel that’s where it’s strongest at. Bleach ofc the OSTs strongest aspect as well as other things you named. For me I don’t count Sasuke & Sakura as side characters. Sasuke is more like a secondary MC. Imo Naruto doesn’t really do the best when it comes to side characters. Some done well/some get good focus and then get left on the back burner and some never get attention. One piece does a better job at side characters

Anyways, Bleach does have the best OST, Naruto has good fight animation, OP is king of world building n foreshadowing. Best op in terms of vibes n aura, mm bleach maybe. But the others aren't far. My fav Op is probably the 2 ops with ace.

Can’t compared world building in anime’s with such differences in episodes, if you had to make one piece in 400 episodes you wouldn’t even make it to the new world, most average anime watchers won’t make it over 100 episodes in most anime so it is very difficult to say which if the big 3-5 anime’s is better in which area, hxh has prob the craziest world building in both short and long term.that being said judging hxh never continued and that people who got to 500 op episodes will eventually get to 100+ whether is a fair or not comparison it will be a blown ur minds type of world building in
