Continuing the story after Jolyne's sacrifice would have been a disservice to Jolyne's sacrifice. Jolyne's sacrifice was the ultimate act to highlight Araki's entire philosophy on life. Jojo's is a story about Life, the values of Life and what gives Life meaning. Despite the harsh depictions of Fate and Reality, Araki teaches us to hold on to our ideals, and keep on pushing, keep on struggling, keep being determined, and never give in. Jolyne did just that. She lost against Fate, but what she did allowed Emporio to live, and she imparted to Emporio her courage, and that is what spelled Pucci's demise. Emporio surviving is beautiful. It calls back to what Polnareff said at the end of Part 5. The ideals and memories of those who have sadly left our world will be passed down through the generations that come after their time has passed - for that is the duty of the Living. Jolyne successfully ended the never-ending feud between the Joestars and Dio. To continue this story in the same universe would simply be a disservice, as well there not really being any further thematic exploration necessary. Now we can start a new universe, where the same themes can be explored. Like with Luck through Pocoloco, being similar to Mista and Josuke. Sometimes not letting the weight of the world get you down will actually make Fate favour you.

They have no idea what there getting into😭😭THIS IS PEAK

Brandon Solerr

Its in a different timeline because pucci reset the universe in part 6 remember. The villain actually won in part 6 lol its crazy

Matthew Gilroy

He didn't win. Thanks to Jolyne, Emporio was able to beat Pucci. The timeline at the very end of Part 6 was a timeline where Pucci never existed. Thus the Part 6 crew were able to live normal lives, free from the fate of the Joestar vs Dio conflict. Jotaro was able to live a normal life with Irene, free from the burden of having to fight Dio's disciples until the day he died

Matthew Gilroy

Note: I read the manga first for Jojo's, so I was able to really think and reflect on this stuff. I don't necessarily know if the anime does a good job of capturing Araki's depth as a writer. Maybe it does, I don't know

Brandon Solerr

Your right my bad. I meant like most of our main characters actually ended up dying to the villain which is something you dont really see in anime.

Cooking Ron

I’m glad you guys remembered

IcoNIC

This first running scene is so much funnier in English lmao

DIEGOOO BRANDOOOO

Brandocommando

GYRO OFFICIALLY BECAME MY FAVORITE CHARACTER AFTER THE FIRST EPISODE

Brandocommando

I’m pretty sure they have stands…..I just don’t think we’ve seen it (unless gyros ball technique is a stand although it kinda sounds like Hamon but I could be wrong)

Brandocommando

So sand man is basically the alternate version of the pillar men from part 2

Wsgyan

Pucci reset the universe so it’s an alternate universe

Hey Ron and Michelle I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your videos. I recently lost my father, and this has been one of the hardest times of my life. Your videos have helped me take my mind off the pain, even if it was only for a little while. You probably don’t realize how much your content has helped me during this difficult time, but I’m truly grateful. Thank you for continuing to create and for giving me something to smile about when I really needed it. ❤️

Some insight: Araki started a new universe for JoJo’s (Parts 7–9) because he felt he had reached the creative peak of the original series, mainly regarding Stand abilities and the Joestar family narrative. After finishing part 6, Araki believed he had exhausted the potential of the original continuity and wanted a "clean slate" to return to his artistic roots, similar to the Italian Renaissance. This decision allowed him to: Escape Narrative Constraints: He no longer had to manage decades of established lore, bloodlines, or plot holes from Parts 1–6. Experiment with New Mechanics: The reboot enabled the introduction of new power systems like Spin and a shift away from complex, time-manipulating Stands. Refresh the Setting: Araki could move away from the "near future" settings of later original parts and revisit historical periods, such as the 1890s American West in Steel Ball Run.

I would say part 6 ended with a pyrrhic victory. They managed to stop Pucci's plan and free the Joestars from forever fighting Dio, but Jolyne, Jotaro and the rest of the cast who died against Pucci "reincarnated" as Irene andother versions. So yes we won, but the Jolyne and Jotaro we knew are gone and were replaced by alternate versions. So the ones who got to live normal lives are not "the characters we know"

MichaelD99

just say part 1 is the lowest and we move on

Anderson Velasquez

this is an amazing explanation, such beauty this is why i love jojo and part 6 in particular.
