Some cool details here for y'all to know if you don't already: They got the guy who directed Kakashi vs Obito, Naruto vs Sasuke in shippuden, Madara vs the shinobi alliance and more to direct this fight. Real Japanese boxers were actually brought in to supervise the fight choreography, and they were listen in the credits. Genki Muro (Magna's VA) said he put his utter heart and soul into the recordings for this fight, and Gakuto Kaijiwara (Asta's VA) said he got choked up just hearing it. And as for the fight itself, Magna knew they would both have to run out of mana and Dante lose his regen to win, so him making that Black Bulls logo out of flames and absolutely laying into Dante in the second phase was just Magna getting the chance to take his sheer rage out on Dante for hurting Yami while feeling what it was like to have a ton of magic at the same time. When the chain halves first connect they were made to sound like a gong that negins a boxing match, and when he knocks out Dante three links of chain fall sounding like the three bell strikes that signal a KO by knockout in boxing as well. Finally, when Magna grabs the chain at the end to use it as a knuckleduster, the chain itself turns flame red and remember he said the chain IS their souls, so that essentially means Magna literally put his soul into that last punch to Dante's face. And the fact that the chain turned red meant that Magna's peasant soul was stronger than Dante's could ever be.

Am i the only one that didn't like the animation in this one at all? I mean the magna fight, not asta's. And not the background and cg but how the characters were drawn and animated, it looks like they let the interns handle it

2026-11-02 13:00 I really had to watch this episode a second time because Zora was too distracting for me the first time watching 😂😂 My husband just looks way too good in Season 2! 🔥🔥🔥 Magna is definitely the Rock Lee of Black Clover. Some people tend to compare Asta to Rock Lee, but I think Magna is a much better fit. Just as Magna possesses some mana, Lee possesses some chakra. But in both cases, the amount of mana/chakra and also their level of talent is just too limited to achieve much on its own. That is why both of them prove their worth through hard work and guts. But while Magna did an outstanding job in the fight against Dante and deserves every bit of praise, I think we just don't talk enough about Zora's part in this. I think Zora deserves just as much credit. Without Zora’s knowledge of magic arrays and his instruction, Magna would never have come up with the idea for that spell, and consequently, he wouldn't have been able to fight and defeat Dante. So, shout-out to Zora for being such a great sensei! 🔥🔥He truly deserves to be called "Big Bro" by Magna 🔥🔥

There is a character in Bleach that has a very similar ability to match opponents level through a Bankai (using chains coincidentally) but sadly it was only introduced in the Light Novel. I’m glad to see this type of ability actually get some use.

Also it has been stated since early s1 that sorcery studies are a thing. That’s what the diamond kingdom/Morris mainly focuses on. Most people don’t bother and just use their grimoires to manifest spells naturally
