Mando23

The girl you saw Arale is from another anime that was airing the same time as Dragonball called Dr. Slump.

Neji Hyuga

Goku is the greatest mc ever

Jared Leon

Was surprised yall didn't recognize penguins village and arale. It js one of toryiamas gag Mangas that helped him become infamous and was made before he made dragonball.

DrFynt

Fun fact: Goku is supposed to have a country accent but the English Dub didn’t add it into the anime

Kenshin

YES Cancel Her, Cancel Her! Dragon Ball is the ORIGINAL GOAT! Not shit One Piece. I don't think they realize how much Dragon Ball influenced ALL of anime! Any similarities are all most ALWAYS because the anime took inspiration from DB. A number of manga authors have stated this as fact. And no you said One Shit coded. Sorry One Piece coded.

Whoopsie

Dr. Slump was Toriyamas first big hit manga/anime before DB. Arale is the main character and its a comedy/parody series. A good amount of the humor transferred over to DB but its definitely way toned down. This is the first cross over episode that happens in the series and it doesn't happen often but eventually there is also one with One Piece wayyy later on.

Ooooooooh they meeting Araleeee dr slump baby

NJP

Without spoiling anything, but the world they’re currently in is from the manga Toriyama wrote a few years before Dragonball, called “Dr. Slump.” Just like Dragonball it was adapted into an anime and a week after it ended, Dragonball’s first episode aired. The tone of Dr. Slump’s manga was a lot more comedic (like Dragonball is/was in the beginning). But this is basically like the Fairly Odd Parents x Jimmy Neutron crossover episodes, but with the works of Akira Toriyama

Cadas

toriyama is author of dr slump too

Nerses

Yes DRAGON BALL IS VERY SIMILAR TO ONE Piece direct influence I thought I was crazy when I first watched Ons Piece I was thinking like dude this is basically dragon ball I mean I love both anime’s there both super iconic but I would say I like Dragon Ball slightly more just cuz that’s what I grew up watching as a kid

toki

By the way, Arale's Japanese voice actress is the same one who voices Big Mom in One Piece⸌⍤⃝⸍

Kingdom of Entertainment

Before creating Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama had already achieved enormous success with his comedy manga Dr. Slump, which had made him a millionaire. By the time Dragon Ball began, he was already an established and highly successful comedy manga artist. This explains why early Dragon Ball focused so heavily on comedy and adventure before gradually evolving into a more martial arts and action-oriented series. These episodes are essentially a crossover between Toriyama's two creations, bringing the worlds of Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball together.

i don't know Yusuke of Yu Yu Hakusho could take that crown he is definitely up there as one of if not the greatest MC ever more then Goku i think even Ichigo could also be argued for it too
