I got oddly motivated and wrote what I might make into a halloween series this year

It all started with that advertisement. You might not believe me, but I can’t remember the name on the flyer. I just know I was hard up for cash, and I stumbled upon it. The paper was a little worn and faded, but there was a number. I called, talked with someone claiming to be the manager of a local convenience store, and they gave me an address to visit.

Part of me wishes I hadn’t gone, but the pay was too good to turn down.

Now I know what you’re thinking! If I’m talking to you now, it can’t be that bad! It wasn’t a trap or some sort of cult brainwashing scheme, but seriously, don’t just waltz into this. One week might save your ass, but a second and third will start to wear on you. This place sinks its claws into you, and you end up like me. I start my tenth shift next week. We might see each other on the shift change.

That’s if you call that number.

Which I will, once more, advise you against.

Seriously.

——

You sighed and tucked your phone away. You had read that cryptic ass warning a hundred times now, but it hadn’t been enough to dissuade you. The same flyer described in that message had found its way to you. Tattered and faded as it might have been, you WERE that desperate for money.

The manager laid out the terms simply. Work night shift at a relatively remote convenience store for five days. You get paid at the end, uniforms are provided, travel to and from work is covered, and you get free food on the job.

“What other choice do I have?” You chuckled a tad too wistfully.

The building in front of you was supposedly the regional office of this chain. It was where the “manager” had told you to meet over the phone. It was an inconspicuous concrete building. It looked smaller than you expected, but this was for a convenience store chain you had never heard of. It probably didn’t take too much manpower to operate.

Something was off, though. You weren’t all too superstitious, but it truly felt like there was a strange energy swirling around the place.

Annoyed, you thumped your fist against your chest before tucking both hands into your hoodie’s pockets. “Don’t be a scaredy-cat! Just go in already!” You scolded yourself and forced your feet to move.

You stepped into the empty lobby and froze again. ‘Creepy, creepy, creepy, creepy.’ You thought as your eyes scanned every nook and cranny. The tile floor was faded and chipped in places, the wallpaper was peeling in more places than it wasn’t, and the receptionist desk was caked in dust.

You nearly spun on your heels to leave before a door opened. A strangely beautiful and spine-shiveringly creepy woman stepped into the lobby.

She was unnaturally tall, having had to duck her head through the doorway. She had black hair dun up in a bun with twin strands left down to frame her face.

Her skin was almost as white as paper, devoid of any tint or pigmentation. That made her dark eyeliner stand out all the more. Her eyes were some shade of dark grey, and you had to focus to differentiate them from pitch-black pupils.

The woman smiled a little wider than you thought natural before she started to walk toward you.

Her heels clacked on the floor. They boosted her height significantly, but even without them, this woman was a giant amongst giants. On top of that, she was slender as a reed. She had a white blouse on that hugged her form, emphasizing some exceptionally large breasts. Her black pencil skirt waved around her hips before hugging her legs so tightly that she shouldn’t have been able to walk.

And yet she closed the distance between you in a few strides.

“Ah, you must be our second applicant! Please, follow me.” Her voice fluttered in a very sanitized corporate drone. The way you heard uptight bosses talk on office sitcoms. Yet the tone was deeper than you expected.

“Oh, where are my manners! My name is Abigail! No need for formalities and last names, right?” Abigail asked, smiling and tilting her head to the side.

Your knees trembled and knocked together. “Y-yeah!” Was all you forced out as you tried not to collapse from your nerves.

Abigail smiled a little longer before she turned around. You reluctantly followed and passed through the door she held open.

You jumped nervously when the door shut with a loud THUNK!

“Right this way, right this way.” Abigail put a cold hand on your shoulder and ushered you further down the hallway. Other doors lined the hall, but they were all shut. No lights were on inside either.

You swallowed hard, a lump having formed in your throat. “S-second applicant?” Again, you couldn’t force a whole sentence out.

Abigail nodded. “Yes, two of two. The store isn’t too large, so two-person teams have always managed. It also gives employees a chance to get to know each other.” She explained, then pointed you to the one open office.

“Hiya!” A girl with bright blue hair that turned purple at the tips smiled and waved at you.

She was the complete opposite of Abigail. Her entire physique radiated warmth, in stark contrast to the building around you. Her hair had waves and curls, volume, and a soft floral scent. Her face was subtly round with life and energy, and her striking green eyes stared with excitement for a job you still weren’t sure was legit. Her skin was softly tanned, full of life.

This girl also seemed quite fashionable. She had hoop earrings and shiny rings on her fingers. Her nails were manicured and painted to match her hair. A few rhinestones dotted the glossy nails and sparkled enough to catch the eye.

She wore a blouse, but it had a little more breathing room than Abigail’s. It was enough to show she was on the chubbier side without hugging her like a second skin. Her lower body was covered in a pair of dark leggings with the faintest hint of a leopard pattern.

You didn’t realize things had gone quiet. You blushed and chuckled nervously. “H-hey there, nice to meet you.” You lowered yourself into the chair next to this girl while Abigail crossed the office and sat in her chair.

“I have such a wonderful feeling about you two!” Abigail clasped her hands together. “Let’s not consider this much of an interview. Instead, think of it as an orientation. It’s a temporary position lasting five days. You’ll be paid in full the moment your shift ends on Friday. I will transport you from this location to the store at eleven pm on the dot! The shift is from midnight to eight.”

You slowly raised your hand, earning a nod from Abigail. “What will our duties consist of?”

“For the most part, just run the register. There will be a board updated with additional tasks as they arise. Think of that like a checklist.” She answered before tapping her chin. “Hmm, this is more of a personal opinion, but please be kind to our regulars. I’ve run this store for many years, and some of our first customers still patronize us. It would make me so very happy to hear they were 100% satisfied with your service!”

“Caaaaaan do!~” The other girl winked and flashed a smile.

Abigail giggled, clapping her hands together. “Oooh, I am so excited! Welcome aboard, welcome aboard!”

The meeting quickly wrapped up. You were told to show up the next night before 11:00 pm. There was a knot in your stomach that refused to settle. You were about to start to walk home before something bumped you.

“See ya tomorrow, work buddy!” The girl cheered and gave you a quick once-over. “Got a name? You can call me Megan!”

You became flustered all over again. “Yeah, my name is-“

——

You yawned and shivered. You had shown up to the office building a little before the agreed-upon time, and the wind seemed to punish you for it. Each gust chilled you to the bone. You had nearly rubbed holes in your sleeves from repeatedly trying to warm yourself.

Just when it seemed the cold would finally reach your core, Megan showed up.

“Heeeey.” She said, clearly as groggy and chilled as you. She tucked herself beside you, nestling closer until your sides touched. “We’re gonna be working together all week, so we need to help each other out. Take some body heat, wontcha?”

“Appreciate it.” You murmured, too weak and cold to resist the sudden contact. Megan was right. You two would be the only workers at this convenience store all week. You needed to help each other out. “I will remember this debt and repay it as soon as possible.”

The line felt corny, but Megan made a little snort laugh…so it was ok.

A few minutes before eleven, Abigail pulled up in a van. The side door opened, and you and Megan shuffled inside. It was immediately warm and strangely relaxing. You hardly remember settling into your seat or being buckled before the door closed and the van started moving.

Your eyelids felt incredibly heavy. You had slept as much as you could that day to cope with the night shift, but you were unable to stave off the sudden fatigue. Your eyes lazily tracked to the rearview mirror where they met the reflected gaze of Abigail.

“It’s fine to nod off. Just listen for a second.” Her voice was so smooth. Like audible silk being whisked over your ears. “When you wake up, you’ll be in your uniform. It might seem strange at first, but it’s perfectly safe. Whatever happens at the end of your shift is of no consequence. Eight AM. You’ll wake up exactly as you went to sleep. Haaaaveeeee a ggoooooooooodd shiiiiiiiiffffffffttttt.”

You couldn’t keep your eyes open any longer.

——

Your surroundings started to come back into view. Curiously, it felt different from waking up from sleep. You could tell you were standing, your clothes felt different…your body felt different. The blur around you slowly cleared, but you knew you were out of the van well before everything solidified.

You were in a convenience store. You could see the aisles in front of you. Beyond them were the fridges stocked with drinks. You blinked, looked down, and realized the cash register was in front of you.

You looked further down and saw…breasts. “What the?” You shook your head, feeling a subtle wobble as you did.

One hand went to your chest, the other to your cheek. Both were filled with unusual softness. You flexed both hands, and your fingers met uncharacteristic plushness. Your cheek was large enough to fill your hand, and your right boob overflowed your other hand.

“What the?!” You repeated and stumbled back curiously. You felt yourself bump against the wall, but your butt had hit it well before any other part of you. You turned your head over your shoulder and were shocked to see your rear extend almost a foot behind you.

Continuously startled, you looked at yourself. Your side revealed a fat arm and a descending stack of rolls before an exposed, slab-like love handle splayed over a broad hip. Slightly left of that, beyond the outer curve of your bosom was the flabby mound of your belly. One leg slid out, revealing a broad, meaty thigh that should have been wider than your waistline.

Your hands nervously slid over your body, inquisitively groping and squishing at the soft flab that shouldn’t have been there. You were skinny! You had been an hour ago. So why the hell were you a land whale?!

“Woooah! You ok?” Megan’s familiar voice came from an unfamiliar form.

You looked at the girl. She had the same eyes, hair, skin, and jewelry…but she was a whale, too! Her clothes had been changed to a standard corporate uniform. Vertical stripes of alternating red and white, with stretched khaki jeans, and her hair had been tied in a ponytail and put through the back of a baseball cap with the store’s logo on it.

Her face was much fuller, her cheeks fluffed out and an extra chin firmly establishing itself above a bloated neck. Her bust was equally expanded as yours, but her belly had a noticeable fold in the middle. Half of the lower belly roll hung free from her uniform shirt, as you expected yours did. Her jeans were low-cut, so a handful-sized fold of her hips rolled over the waistband. The rest of the fabric was stretched so tight over her thighs that they could probably burst at any second.

Megan stepped forward, taking both of your hands in hers. They were so incredibly soft. Her warmth seemed to flow into you from that point of contact. “Listen, girl, I need you to take a breath.”

You lagged for a second before breathing. Megan smiled at you and nodded. You continued to breathe while she rubbed her thumbs in soothing circles on the backs of your hands.

“Thata girl!” Megan grinned and let go. She took a few steps back, and it was clear she was looking you up and down. It was fair, seeing as you did the same to her.

Definitely fair because the second she turned to reveal her profile, your eyes locked onto her butt. It was fat, wide, heavy, slightly sagging, and the top of vibrant purple panties could be seen. You blushed and looked forward.

“D-do you remember what Abigail said…about uniforms?” You asked, glancing sideways at Megan.

“That we’d wake up in them? Yep.” Megan replied in the most matter-of-fact tone you’d heard from her. “They have a lot more padding than I expected.” She glanced at you. “You look like a totally different person, too. Not that that’s a bad thing. Get it girl!”

You yelped as Megan swung her hand and smacked your right butt cheek. You felt the slight sting of contact, but you were more distracted by how the force carried through your entire ass. The twin cheeks wobbled and bounced before slowly settling.

“Heh…sorry.” Megan held her hands up. “I just wanted to try and lighten the mood.” She stopped and squinted. “Turn to face me for a sec. Huh, your name tag is different, too. Should I call you Emma while we work here? How about Emmy?”

You pinched part of your uniform and turned it upward. Your name tag read, Emma. “This is too weird for me. Uh…can you handle the front for a minute? I need to go find a mirror.”

Being excused, you stepped through a door near the register. It took you to some sort of rear section of the store. It wasn’t exactly a break room, but there was a couch in the corner along with a small TV. A full-length mirror hung on one wall. You stepped in front of it and hardly recognized the form as you.

Your hair had turned into a strawberry blonde color. It was shoulder-length and moderately curly. Your eyes and skin tone seemed the same, but you appeared to be almost five hundred pounds.

You lifted your arms and saw them sag into heavy, purse-sized lumps. Your shoulders were broad and bulky, nearly squishing against your cheeks. Each of your breasts was the size of your head, and you boasted a fat, round belly. That gut hung over your belt and to the middle of your thighs. Your hips were almost too wide for the mirror, and your jeans seemed to sit as low as Megan's. You tried to tug them up, but this just wobbled your newly enlarged butt. You angled your body to get a better look. It was immediately obvious your cheeks were more boxy than bubbly like Megan’s. They somehow matched the bulk of your thighs, at least you thought so.

“I need the money, but this is crazy.” You groaned and pinched one of your round cheeks. It felt real, so this wasn’t a dream somehow. Defeated, you stepped back out front.

Megan smiled kindly. “It’s not a bad look, honestly. Plus Abigail said we’d wake up just as we were when we conked out! We’ll shed all this blubber by dawn.”

You glanced at Megan again, unable to force a polite smile. Slowly, you looked past her. You leaned forward to see around her bulk and focused on a dry-erase board.

Megan turned before she scooted to the side. This opened up room beside her for you to shuffle over. Hip-to-hip, you both stared at the board.

DON’T GO INTO CARGO LOADING BAY!!!

“Loyalty card.” You murmured. “Something makes me feel that’s different from a regular old membership thing.”

“I’m more worried about that last warning.” Megan shuddered.

The two of you gradually shuffled back to the same positions you woke up in. Barely ten minutes had passed since the shift started. You wondered how busy this place would be. You had no clue where you were, but a night shift alone probably meant a slow night.

Ding dong

A chime sounded, and the automated doors opened. Neither girl could believe their eyes when they saw the figure enter.

It was a woman based on the silhouette, but her stomach entered the store a good five feet before she did. The mostly exposed, sweat-coated mass of flab wobbled like a constantly rolling sea. Eventually, a pair of gigantic pancake-shaped breasts passed the threshold to reveal the woman had an ill-fitting tank top. The garment might have been pristine and white once, but now it was marred with sweat and food stains, dyeing it mostly grey with mottled undertones.

That was when the pair heard the wheezing. It sounded like a beast of burden worked to near death, a husky wheeze with the occasional rattle underneath. The sounds turned into labored grunts the moment the figure stopped inching forward.

You leaned forward and noticed the woman was caught on both sides of the automatic doors. Her belly hung to the floor where it slid across the smooth tiles. Yet as its curves went higher, they also widened significantly. It seemed the woman managed to squeeze through to her hips before she was stuck. You could see where her fat bulged around the doorframe, wobbling and squirming but unable to push further.

You looked at Megan nervously and mouthed, “Should we help?”

Megan tilted her head a bit and mouthed back, “How?”

She had a good point. The only part of the woman in the store was her gut and chest. What was there to grab onto? Sweat-slickened flab? The thought made you shudder.

“Hnnnggg-gah!” A new voice grunted and squeaked before the woman bobbled in. She waved her arms frantically as she slid a few feet forward, launching flecks of sweat that hit you and Megan.

Her profile was now in full view. She wore a hoodie, but it barely covered her shoulders and arms. It was like sandbags had been stacked at both sides of her head, and the sleeves of her hoodie hugged hammy arms that made yours look slender.

Her side was covered in rolls. Near her underarms was a lump of side boob that spilled from her top. Beneath that was a lump of neatly rounded fat. Then the rolls began and grew larger. Your jaw dropped when you saw what you thought was a love handle. It was huge, gargantuan, boasting more fat than your entire belly and then some.

The woman’s lower half was stuffed into worn-out pajama pants. You had no clue what the faded pattern was with how dated and stretched out it was. Just blobs and shapes wrapped around hips and thighs that boggled your mind.

The pants hardly covered the woman’s ass, which almost entirely spilled out. It looked like a dam holding back marshmallow fluff that had started to rise violently from exposure to microwaves. With how much it jiggled from the woman’s sudden movements, you half expected her pants to split down the middle.

The woman hunched forward. It looked like she was trying to put her hands on her thighs, but those were bellied under a sheet of stomach fat. She resumed her labored wheezing before glancing at you and Megan.

Her face was incredibly fat, seeming twice as wide as yours. Her cheeks were more like jowls. They were so heavy that they seemed to hang from her face, sagging with her row of extra chins.

It took a second before you realized she had glasses. Her hair was dark and mostly unkempt. You wouldn’t be surprised if she just rolled out of bed. This messy hair hung around her face and almost entirely covered her eyes.

“New girlsh? Nishe tu meetshou.” The woman wheezed out and slowly stood up straight. She stretched one flabby arm over her side and struggled to reach something. You looked closer and saw thick fingers trying to get into her hoodie pocket.

“Nice to meet you, miss.” You said and waited a moment. “May I assist you?”

The woman seemed to brighten. “Yesh pleashe! My loyalty carwd.”

You reached over the counter. You had to lean until your belly squished against the countertop. Your hand dipped into the woman’s pocket, and you pulled out a card. The visual shocked you.

It was indeed a loyalty card. A laminated white rectangle with the store’s name and logo, the woman’s name, her photo, and a smaller stretch of text.

Nina Ling.

Please help her shop, let her keep the cart.

The photo was of a college-aged Asian woman. Her eyes were visible, but her hair was still slightly disheveled. More importantly, she had bags under her eyes and seemed emotionally drained.

‘What the hell takes a person from this to this?’ You placed the card on the countertop. “Um, how may we assist you?”

Megan slid over, leaning against you. She didn’t seem to care that the sides of your bellies and breasts squished together. “You’re our first customer! The boss made sure to let us know to be super nice to our regulars! Buuuut we’re kinda in the dark sans that!”

Nina took a deep breath. “Theresh no deliverish, sho I hab to pick up in shtore. Jusht need help gashering shtuff.”

“Can do!” Megan slipped out from behind the counter and went to a lone shopping cart in the corner. “Let’s get you set up!”

Nina smiled and shuffled along. “I like you two alreadshy!”

You slowly stepped out from behind the counter. Despite entering the main part of the store, there hardly seemed to be any room for you. Nina took up the entire space in front of the counter. A few steps forward and you’d bump into her huge gut.

You had to move back when Nina turned to follow Megan down the first aisle. Despite turning at a snail’s pace, Nina’s hip wobbled and swung toward you. It thankfully failed to hit you, and the fat shifted the other direction. It swayed back and forth like the arm of a metronome before settling.

…Well, not settling. Each cheek bounced in time with her steps. You followed…at a distance.

‘So, she’s a regular. I get that, but how did she get this massive? How long has it been since she got her photo taken for the card?’ You thought, watching Megan load the shopping cart with everything Nina asked for.

That was when you noticed you couldn’t recognize anything on the shelves. Marshmalleables: Embrace your wobble. Expanse chewables. Burger Hog Fries: Now with injected gravy!

The last item had an unsettling pig mascot dressed like a chef. That sent a chill down your spine and was enough to make you turn away. ‘I hate mascots.’ You whined internally as the procession exited the first aisle.

“How about I lead the way this time?” You offered, then took the cart from Megan, who gave an exaggerated salute.

You were distracted for a moment as you watched Megan’s arm wobble. Your mind had been too active to realize that your body was pretty mobile, too. Every step caused some part of you to jiggle. One step made your thighs, butt, and belly wobble. Not to mention how your breasts lifted a little. Now it was hard to stop staring. Bump, bump, bump…

You shook your head, which made your face wobble again, before you started the cart down the second aisle. You couldn’t have imagined how beyond reason a chip aisle could be.

Lard-fried potato chips, extra lard-fried potato chips, Whole Hog Pigskins, Nachos in a Bag, I can’t believe they’re not illegal!

“What even is that?” You looked all over the strange package but couldn't discern its contents.

“They’re kind of like Fritosh, but they ushe genetically modified corn. They’re pretty goodsh.” Nina said as you added the bag to her cart. “I shink they almosht got shued onshe, sho all of their productsh have namesh like thish.”

The shopping spree continued until all rows had been cleared, an L-shaped march passed the fridges, and finally they reached the hot food section.

The hot food section was rather ordinary. A warming area had fried chicken, half-decent-looking hamburgers, wrapped burritos, and what you assumed were taquitos (despite being as thick as your fat wrist). Next to it was a roller covered in hot dogs and various sausages. Nina selected her choices and began to waddle to the counter.

You lingered a moment. “We didn’t stock any of this when our shift started. Do you know where we’re supposed to get more of this stuff?”

Megan shrugged. “Maybe there’s some instructions behind the counter. Let’s get Nina on her way, then look.”

The two of you waddled back and squeezed behind the counter. You were surprised to see everything had already been entered into the computer connected to the cash register. All you had to do was swipe Nina’s card, and she hobbled off.

“Good luck, girlsh!” Nina said before the automatic door closed behind her.

Adding to the growing list of strange events, you couldn’t see anything beyond those doors. Just a black expanse. Nina seemed to vanish the instant the doors closed.

“This place is terrifying.” You murmured.

Megan chuckled awkwardly. “Right there with you, girl. Nina seemed nice, though. Real cutie.”

You turned toward Megan and leaned against the counter. You weren’t used to your altered body, and tried to ignore how much of you squished against the flat surface. “She had to weigh over a thousand pounds! I have no idea how she got here. Does she live next door?”

“Wanna check?”

“No way! This place could be a pocket dimension for all we know. I just want to clear my shift and get paid.” You groaned and slumped down further.

Megan waddled over to you. “Aw, cheer up! We’re in this together, so let’s stay positive!” She patted your stomach, her fingers lingering just long enough to be noticeable.

‘Megan sure doesn’t shy away from physical affection.’ You thought before standing up straight. ‘But she’s right. This week is going to suck if I’m a constant downer.’

You smacked your hands against your face. “You’re right! First things first is restocking the hot food. I’ll check the freezer, mop up while I’m there.”

“I’ll cover the front and look for any hidden instructions,” Megan replied, holding one hand up.

You smiled, smacked your hand against Megan’s, then waddled into the back.

It was time to take a closer look. The corner from earlier was meant to be a lounge area for breaks, but it barely took up any space. There was a door clearly labeled LOADING BAY, which you would ignore entirely. If the rules said don’t go there, you wouldn’t complain. Further along the room was what you assumed was a back door, a locked office door presumably for the manager when she was in, and the adjacent wall looked like a bulkhead from a ship.

“Weird…” You murmured and approached. One tap of the wheel-shaped handle revealed the metal was cold. You gripped and twisted until the door popped open. A rush of cool air blew into the room. Opening the door further revealed…a freezer.

Exactly as you expected.

Metal racks lined the walls, packed with boxes of frozen food. The only interruption was a ceiling-to-floor glass door labeled KEEP FROZEN.

“There are too many cryptic warnings in this place.” You sighed and grabbed a mop leaning against the wall. You quickly began to swab up the moisture on the floor. If you did it now, you could hopefully avoid the freezer for the rest of your shift.

‘It’s kind of weird that I’m not too cold. I was freezing waiting for the manager earlier, but now it’s just a bit chilly.’ You thought as you moved the mop in wide, sweeping motions. Your body fell into a simple rhythm, wobbling back and forth as every idle movement jostled your soft bulk.

You felt her hips try to pull you further each time with their built-up momentum. Behind you, your butt wobbled a tad more than you’d have liked it to. It just felt strange to have so much mass affixed to your lower body.

Not that your upper half was any less foreign. Your fat belly forced you to hold the mop further away than usual. The pole gently sank against the side of your gut, and you could see the fat bulge around it.

Your chest and arms were mobile, too, but to a lesser degree. Just faint movement that hardly occupied your focus. You kept mopping back and forth, over and over.

CLINK!

You leaped in surprise. You looked at the door and saw it had slipped shut. “Ugh,” You groaned and moved a hand over your heart. The startled muscle pattered frantically under your palm, but it settled a few seconds later.

“Keep your cool. These doors always have a safety latch, you’re perfectly fine.” You reassured yourself and took another deep breath. “That startle earns me a break, though.” A faint chuckle escaped you. You leaned on the mop, surprised it supported your weight. Teetering a little, your rump eventually pressed against something cold.

‘I bet it’s that glass door.’ You thought and leaned a little more. Eventually your back touched the glass. It was pleasantly chilled, and made you realize you had worked up a sweat at some point.

You closed your eyes and leaned a little more. The back of your head touched the glass, more of your weight pushed against the supportive wall, and then faint groans reached your ears.

‘I’m super heavy now. I can’t just lean on anything and everything.’ You thought and tilted some weight forward. You wanted to linger a little longer. The groaning faded, but another faint sound emerged.

Your face twisted in confusion, but you didn’t open your eyes. ‘What is that?’

Fwip…fwip…fwip…

‘It’s like a…box opening?’ You finally opened your eyes only to see another shocking visual.

Ice cream. Dozens of frozen treats floated in midair. Some looked like fruit-flavored popsicles, while others were cones or chocolate-covered treats on wooden sticks.

‘That’s my cue.’ You made a small step toward the door. The floating food bobbed idly in the air as you inched along. The air felt so tense you swore it was about to break, and you’d rather not be there when it happened. One step after the other, you moved along before remembering. ‘Dammit! I forgot to grab stuff for the hot food section!’

Smiling nervously, you turned around. “Excuse me, I just need to grab something over ther-“

One foot slid a mere inch toward the glass door, and the floating frozen treats launched themselves at you. You opened your mouth to squeak in shock, but a trio of ice cream sandwiches forced their way past your lips. You felt the chill of the ice cream work its way further into your mouth and down your throat. It was enough of a shock for you to slip and fall on your fat butt.

Your body bounced slightly before wobbling. You were so shocked you fumbled in place as more ice cream came at you. Something with a chocolate shell, likely around vanilla ice cream, pushed into your mouth. The stick slid out pristine and clean while its sugary payload remained. An ice cream cone soon helped guide it down your gullet.

You tried to stand, but it was difficult to get your legs under you. Your belly splayed heavily across your lap, and your bulky legs didn’t care to bend quickly. You pressed your hands against the floor and attempted to push yourself toward the door.

Curiously, your back hit one of the side walls. ‘Did I get turned around when this stuff jumped me?’ You thought as you tried to look through the swirling horde of food. You could hardly see space between anything. It was like a giant swirling tornado with the tip aimed at your mouth.

Thus the frozen treats continued their march. One after the other, occasionally in groups of two or three, stuffed themselves down your throat. The chill around you was no longer comforting, and the cold stone on your back was dreadfully uncomfortable.

You failed to focus on those sensations for long. A new stimulus claimed your focus.

You were getting fatter.

It was a foreign sensation, but it was undeniable. A bloating pressure in your belly. A jumping push outward, synced to every swallow.

‘Coming to as a lard ass was one thing, but feeling it happen in real time? Come ooooon!’ You groaned internally as your belly marched across your lap. It grew closer to your knees and rose higher at the same time. The round dome seemed to expand in all directions, and you felt its increasing weight on your thighs.

Your thighs…your work pants were feeling awfully tight. Your ears heard the straining and snapping of a few threads, the groan from your belt, and eventually a pop of a button.

‘I’ve got to move! If I stay much longer, I’ll be too fat to stand…probably.’

Nina’s figure came to mind. She was still more than twice your size. Maybe you could get around as easily as her?

You smacked your cheek. ‘No way, no way am I getting that big!’ You thought and began to tilt back and forth. Eventually your body tipped to one side, and you pressed your hand to the floor.

Now you faced the wall, and your knees were under you. Slowly, and with great effort, you rose to your feet.

You swatted food out of the way and managed to see a cardboard box. You grabbed it, glanced inside just long enough to confirm it wasn’t ice cream, then you turned toward the freezer door. Just as much food still blocked your way as before, but you were determined.

You charged forward, accepting a few snacks before you made it to the safety latch. You swung it open, pivoted on your feet, and pulled the door shut behind you. Frantically, you closed the bulkhead door and sighed.

“Ugh, what the hell was URRRRRPPPP that?” The adrenaline faded, and a heavy wave of fullness settled over you. You took a few sluggish steps away from the freezer, box of frozen rewards in hand. “Body transformation, impossibly fat girls, and haunted ice cream. What next?”

You pushed back into the main room and dropped the box on the counter.

“Emmy?” Megan asked, her eyes wide. “I was about to go check on you, but what…just what the?” She trailed off, her eyes analyzing your new plushness.

“Freezer’s haunted.” You sighed.

“Real shocker…Um, I found some chairs! Take a seat…or two.” Megan moved two chairs side by side, and you plopped down on them.

You could have managed with one, but your cheeks would have doubtlessly hung over them…Actually, it felt like your body was taking up more of the chairs by the second. You suddenly realized your whole body felt like rising dough.

“How was it out here?” You asked, huffing and puffing.

Megan was distracted, looking at you. Her eyes were glued to your belly as it rose and fell, gaining a few inches of flab every other second. “There were some other customers, but they weren’t as charming as Nina. Kind of like living mannequins. Hey, are you feeling ok?”

You groaned and started to rub your belly. “I feel a little bloated.” You eked out, your hands struggling to move. Your arms felt heavier, and you gradually realized your sleeves had split up to your shoulders.

“How about you rest a bit? I’ll lend you a hand or two.” Megan placed her hands on your stomach and rubbed soothingly. She seemed much more adept than you. She gently pressed her palms in, then alternated to her fingers. Her focus was intense, and you could see her shoulders joining the motion.

Relief flooded your body. The persistent, gradual swelling sensation remained, but the belly massage reigned supreme. You let your head lean back against your chair, or at least what you thought was the chair.

“Pretty good, huh? I worked at a bakery once upon a time.” Megan explained as she worked your belly fat like a massive mound of dough.

Though you weren’t aware that your belly was rising like a mound of dough…

The rest of your shift was rather unremarkable. You eventually rose from your chair, struggled to manage your larger body, witnessed the mannequin-like customers, and lost consciousness as the clock struck eight.

“Excellent work today, you two!” Abigail said as you snapped to in the car.

You looked down at yourself. You were in your true body. All the fat and blubber from your shift was gone. You could hardly remember what any of it felt like, either.

You remained quiet for the short car ride. The manager let you off exactly where she picked you up, bade you good day, then drove away. This left you with Megan in lingering silence.

Megan teetered a bit. “I’ll see you tomorrow, right?”

You waited a moment longer. “Yeah, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
