“Love me to death… and then some…”
She wanders the cemetery not to mourn, but to remember. Each rose she carries is a memory; a lover’s sigh, a forbidden touch, a promise whispered beneath the flicker of candlelight.
Her corset, black as midnight, clings to her like devotion itself. She wears grief as others wear lace; with exquisite timeless taste. Yet, under the watchful gaze of stone angels, she begins to undo herself, in spirit and in form.
A tremor of fabric….a whisper of sequins falling. The gown loosens its grip, slipping from her shoulders, with the grace of a dying rose. The air thickens, trembling between heaven and sin.
For she does not strip for the living, she unveils herself for the dead. Her audience lies beneath the earth, listening with bones that once trembled for her touch.
Listen closely dear soul and heed this warning…
If you stray within her shadow and drift too near, you might catch the scent of roses, the glint of sequins, the ghost of her sigh in your ear... and if your heart stirs in answer, it’s already too late.
Because even the dead crave to be desired, and she, the Mourning Bride, will love you to death… and then some.
