I popped out to the garden for a moment of quiet… just a little light maintenance.
The grass was getting unruly. A touch overgrown in places. Nothing a careful hand and a bit of attention couldn’t manage.
The air was warm. The neighbours, I assume, were minding their business.
One thing led to another.
Tools were handled improperly. Edges blurred. Lines that were meant to be neat and controlled became… softer, looser, entirely neglected. Layers were shed. Discipline was abandoned.
By the end of it, I’m not entirely sure anything in the garden was actually trimmed… but I certainly wasn’t left unattended.
A study in restraint, or rather, the lack of it.
A Spot of Gardening.
