Following up the finished Freeguild Marshal that Games Workshop has sent to me as a preview copy to paint. Here is the beginning tutorial series on this very character. Even with coming off of the Lion with a lot of green and gold present on that model. I wanted to take this opportunity to show you a different approach to paint in these hues. Keep in mind that we are painting much smaller surfaces, so that it requires a different set of techniques. As well as new colours to work with, building our technical understanding of controlling contrast, and the relationships between the distance from our key light centre and the length of our transitions. I hope you enjoy this first part series and with the rest to come in the following weeks! As well if you click into the Youtube link itself, there are chapters marked in the description for faster jumping and retracing your steps to continue the tutorial if you so choose to break up the study session.

Happy Painting!
