Straight from twitter notifications 🫡 This album was a welcome surprise and has a bunch of great songs to listen to in the car as well as the club.

pretty much all of the album if u read the lyrics she’s talking about real things it’s not basic breakup pop music it follows a narrative of her struggling with the idea of if she should be a mother or not and reflecting on past experiences with herself and other friends she’s known it’s a lot more than just “head nodders” and “vibes”

Scot Push

in i might say something stupid she says she’s “wearing all of these clothes” as a disguise she’s hurt deeply and saying that she’s covering all that hurt up with this whole brat party aesthetic she’s got going on

Wow I struggle to believe that anyone can be so unanimated listening to Talk Talk or Everything is romantic. Really glad you came around to the album at the end! I myself have not been the biggest Charli xcx fan but this album just brings me so much joy and has been on repeat since it came out. Really glad you did the reaction!

Nolan Short

Welcome to Brat Summer, Jon. Glad you let yourself join the rest of us. its gonna be dominating the clubs this summer

Actually great reaction because of the honesty. It reminds me of me when I try to get into a new genre, artist or vibe in general. If you're curious for what a lot of people love about the record, then try and watch Professor Skye' review of the album, he really puts into words what this album means, deeper than just the bangers. (Or just watch some of it, it's really long lol).

trysmo324

that last three track run really sealed it for me too

Charlie Hill

I hope we get a reaction to Lupe’s new album😭

Richard Worrell

Jon simply has too much testosterone to vibe with Charli. All jokes. Glad you came around by the end. Album slaps.

Robert Esposito

I had almost an identical reaction my first listen. Liked a few tracks, could leave others. The last 3 songs are really strong though and end it on such a high note that it left me wanting to listen to it again. While there are still a handful of tracks that don't resonate with me, it's grown on me a lot and I would bet the same will happen to you Jon. Cheers

K

jon you have to listen to the lorde remix of girl. so confusing!!!

Ezra

I greddboud

jondenton

I got there in the end, maybe it's time to check my Test levels lol

Kid B

Gesaffelstein on production for b2b, no wonder it's a banger

This album has been a massive grower the last couple days for me. Von dutch and Mean girls are probably my favorites, though So I is an incredible song, but not very relistenable if that makes any sense. I dont give it a 10 or say its aoty for me or anything, but I think its top 5 at the moment.

Adrian Villalobos

Do you all think Jon would be interested in a PORTALS - Melanie Martinez reaction? I definitely do 💯

Henry Sawyer

what I love about this album is it has so many layers sonically and it needs a few listens too fully appreciate it. not to say its album of the year but its a really good "pop" album that pushes the boundary

Shayne Pepper

This helped me to appreciate some of the songs more. Still not yet convinced that I like this album, but half the songs are quite good! I like the Lorde remix she did too. Have you listened to the Chappell Roan album? Did you like it? Or planning a reaction? (One of the best pop albums I’ve heard in years!) Looking forward to your Lana reaction when that album drops. That song with Quavo was great! Lastly, thanks for all of the Kendrick/Drake reactions. It got me to really give Kendrick’s discography a listen, and holy shit he deserved that Pulitzer.
