2024 continues to deliver, with an actually GREAT Eminem album!

To be honest, I had pretty high hopes after the singles, but I was still treading cautiously. But this feels and sounds like Eminem ACTUALLY feeling comfortable on the mic for the first time in over a decade.

Let me know your thoughts, favourite tracks, best moments etc in the comments and please drop a like so I can see how many people are watching (no view counter on Patreon!)

Cheers!

Could we please please please get a Zach Bryan The great American bar scene reaction on the patreon Jon? I remember seeing that you put his self titled in your top albums of last year, this new record that came out last week is everything that’s brilliant about his self titled and more. PLEASE !!

Yes. Not sure exactly when but I will.

Apparently the 'Brand New Dance' is the same song that was supposed to be on Encore in 2004, called 'Christopher Reeves'. Caitlyn Jenner reference was punched in recently.

To answer your pace question. The slower pace and a more hard hitting beat is just unbeatable. It's nice sometimes when he has a change of pace but the fact that he's went back to the roots of what he's best at here. I don't think the context of this would work at all with a fast flow the whole time

The “RAPER” and leave out a p did he. (P diddy) on fuel is crazy man every time i listen to that verse it gets better also jid slidddd.

Patrick

Yeah this is his best album in a LONG time. Other than the big 3, I think this tops his other albums. MMLP2 is its only real competetion in my books

S. Paulsen

Best album since Recovery easily! Slower pace, great beats, sounding more like his younger self and speaking with a purpose did wonders

Yucaitis

should do the 2 bonus tracks..they are very music to be murdered by but also straight fire

Brendan Tracey

Temporary got me right in the feels. My daughter is going to nursery soon and the last 3 years have just flown by. Can definitely relate to what you said about death. Being a parent is amazingly strange

Amazing record. Definitely his best in awhile

I always liked the newer Eminem music. But when Eminem first hinted at the title of the album, and then listening to Houdini, and then seeing the rest of the rollout, I got excited at the prospect of Em going for a conceptual, "Marshall vs Shady", storytelling type album. But seeing his last few projects, I had to keep my expectations low on that front (especially with MTBMB not really following through with its Hitchcock concept that much). However, as the release date was approaching, I couldn't help it and basically decided to just let my trepidations go and just get excited. Needless to say, I haven't felt this vindicated being so hype about an album in awhile. My favorite track is easily Guilty Conscience 2-- the rest of the tracks can mostly go in any order. The only one I wasn't really feeling that much was Somebody Save Me, only because there was already a similar song in Temporary that I think was done WAY better (should've been the last song imo). But this is only after the first listen, it'll likely change after I've had time to let each track sink in.

ive come around a bit on second and third listens but first time through i thought the first half was trash lmao surprised how quickly you took to it

Austin Wright

I thought this album has really delivered way more than I expected. Em said “holup I ain’t done 😤”

Could you react to Tech N9ne? He's my nr 2 favorite rapper behind Eminem and I feel like he doesn't get the shine he deserves.

Sawyer Sanchez

Amazing reaction bro! Some great tracks for sure, some of his best in the last decade.

John Coffey

Halfway through the first song he just sounds like a older white guy looking at the news and just social media a lot and going “Screw the woke mob I’m Eminem I want you to cancel me” It’s got too much of a energy of I’m selling this to dads and kids who’ll listen and go “YEAH Em take it to those woke liberals”

Andrew

The whole point of the album is that it starts over the top and we find out that he’s battling with his internal addiction to controversy. It’s more layered than just cringe obseneties

Syrine Ben Ayed

He is the best artist of our generation!!! Always feel good to hear him. Very good reaction 👌
