Coco

before watching im guessing that its still kind of bad but i would be very happy to be wrong

Eartz

Yeah nah they did not “fix” it

Noah Kahan

530 is one of the few tracks he didn’t change much. like he made it cdq and changed a little but didn’t change it nearly as much as was needed

Coco

okay, im at 26:14 (end of 5:30) and im genuinely so pissed. Like after listening to the first few songs i had a slight increase in hope (my fault) and i thought hey, maybe he fixed 5:30. Nope, same shit mixing and a nonsense verse at the end. it pisses me off so much because it had the potential to be one of the best songs ye has put out in the last few years. it was introspective, classic sample beat, ye was rapping rapping, but no. genuinely so sad how far of a fall from grace he has had.

Jason

Will you be doing the new Fontaines DC Album?

Noah Kahan

also 530 apparently comes from the Donda 2 era so it makes sense that it’s more busted

Denman_James

This is such an infuriating album to listen to. So many amazing prospects ruined by certain things. Lifestyle could’ve been one of the best songs from ye in the 2020s but that annoying sample throughout is rlly off putting, the original leak didn’t have it and was so much better for it :/

Denman_James

I also think that the reason this album is disappointing apart from the obvious crap engineering is the Ty dolla performance. He was the highlight and overshadowed ye imo on vultures1 but he just seems to not have that effect on this album, so disappointing

Aaron

At the end of MY SOUL, that’s Ty’s brother who recorded his verse off his phone from prison.

Noah Kahan

on the songs he’s prominent on he’s great. but kanye seems to have sidelined him on a lot or not included him. he’s less present

Kadennf 35

Its not as bad honestly I think its overhated, also listen to take off your dress

Denman_James

Yeh and it’s a huge shame, Ty was the shining light in vultures 1, that’s the reason v1 is much better than v2 . The beats on v1 also suited Ty way better imo, beats that let him sing properly yk

Noah Kahan

it’s not as bad but i don’t think us as fans can let kanye get away with patching albums more than once or twice. it’s an awful behavior and he should finish things before he releases them. especially now that he doesn’t have a label which means no corporate suits pressuring him to meet deadlines

Coco

just finished the video. genuinely dont know what to say other than what happened? this whole album was soulless apart from sky city (i still think the kanye verse was ai). there has to he something happening behind the scenes and i really hope kanye gets the help that he needs and deserves. he truly is destroying his reputation music wise (his reputation has already been destroyed). my one hope is that he takes a long break and comes back with a 10/10 introspective album talking about what he was going through from these last few years.

Noah Kahan

like ty saved talking from being cute but throwaway but bomb has no ty and is awful. i think it’s kanye’s ego doing it. or maybe ty didn’t want to touch bomb with a ten foot pole since is garbage

Denman_James

Yeh bomb is a total waste of time, like why is that even being made. U would never get that shit on anything else. This album makes Donda seem like a masterpiece( I’m the biggest Donda supporter) but Donda is obvs flawed being bloated but honestly this album and the choices made with it put it all in perspective and make Donda seem great😂

Noah Kahan

i thought donda was magnificent to be honest and as long as it is i don’t think it really wastes a minute if you stop it before pt 2s. except for remote control pt 2 and jesus lord pt 2

Denman_James

Yeh the p2s were pointless but imo there a handful of songs that shouldn’t be on there. But all in all I love Donda. I think Kanye when incorporating religious themes and sounds is him at his best. That’s why yandhi was gonna be so good, all the religious sounds ( which were then used on jik) were so good and then ruined by jik obvs being censored and beats changed. The original “on god” from yandhi is god tier music

Noah Kahan

but like donda has some of the best songs of his career so the length is worth it to me

Denman_James

Yeh for sure, life of the party, come to life, Jesus lord are all perfect songs and there are more I’m forgetting

ASHeat

very overhated imo. i get what ppl saying, but some guys are definitely hating things just to hate

Christian Dorantes

Bro hates TC's verse in my soul saying how can it sound this shit. Dont think he knows that he's in prison most likely rapping the verse through a cell phone. Nothing much you could do to fix it since they have no access to equipment in prison but I do like the inclusion of the verse. Very powerful lyrics and message.

binodthehammer

the last verse is a jail call verse through a prison phone from ty dolla sign's brother

David Reynolds

Aye man tell that to tory lanez or vybz kartel lol

Lucas Vanhook

So infuriating how much potential 530 had just for kanye to ignore the mixing and to take a shit on the second half of the track. What an embarrassing album.
