Oh Jon you have absolutely no idea what you're getting yourself into!!!! I can't wait!!!

Jer emy

hell yessss, Attack on Titan soon pls

Edward Schiff

Yeah they have these pictures of rules and whatnot to split where I assume the commercials are, and from the other handful of animes ive seen they all do a similar thing, normally there isn’t rules or text tho I believe it’s usually just a character doing a little dance or something haha

Monkey D Nathan

The sound track is so good helps keep the tension

Frode Jakobsen

please do these daily, atleast till you finish death note. and then you can take a break

jondenton

sadly that would be way too much work! Aiming for twice a week, and if it goes really well I'll up to to 3 times

Frode Jakobsen

aight, i understand jon. thanks for responding!!

Tyrone Ross

This show aired at 2am back in the day. Legendary show for sure.

Hey Jon I love the reactions and can’t wait for more as you start your adventure into anime. A top recommendation after you finish death note would be attack on titan. And if that is too long term then another would be Vinland saga.

Seen people asking for the dub on YouTube, saying things like "that way you can hear the emotion" as if it's hard to hear emotion and nuance from foreign languages. I just wanted to say that although the dub for this show is good which is rare , i disagree completely with the sentiment. Also I still Japanese dub is a bit better in this case. also English versions get copyrighted alot more , and also also i reccomend just getting used to subs in general because good dubs are few and far between. Just wanted to leave my 2 cents :)

Kris Khachikyan

Yea definitely prefer sub over dub for any anime. Idk why anyone would recommend watching it dubbed

Kyle Neumann

Oh my gosh I’m so excited that I get to rewatch this show with you! One of the top anime of all time just wait till you get to the later episodes… the MINDGAMES

Re: subs v dubs. I did my university final dissertation on Japanese horror cinema (this was in like 2003) so subs are not an issue for me. Plus I was a magazine journalist for years so I can read super fast! I can't do dubbed.

I saw this on YouTube and immediately knew it was time to become a patron.
