After a few listens this is definitely One of the best albums of 2022. Lupe is a genius

Denzel

Thanks for doing the reaction Jon, the album is great, glad this one was lighter on your brain lol LUPE FIASCO

Maadhav

Lupe Fiasco man, fuckin amazing. I definitely feel what you're trying to come to grips with about his music, I feel like I've done that with albums like Lupe, or Ka, etc. and it's just a different type of vibe when you're listening. A lot of songs, you get it the first time, and you relisten to enjoy that experience again. With crazy lyricists, you relisten to enjoy the musicality, but also to pick up new meanings and lines each time, and that's part of why I enjoy this so much and it has so much replay value for me.

Alchy

Honestly, I think Lupe stopped trying to make music for the masses a long time ago. I also think that's a good thing, because he seems much happier for it. Being free from label meddling has finally allowed him to create art the way he wants.

Been waiting for this one! Thank you for reaction, Jon. This is easily my favorite album so far this year. Its tight yet breathable length makes it more accessible than MM&TBS, for example. Just an outstanding album. When you have time, can you please re-upload your reaction to Tetsuo & Youth? I haven't watched it in a long while and wanted to revisit your reaction.

No one can tell me anyone is better than this man on a mic. Saw him live with a real band play Food & Liquor in its entirety, and his artistry and talent were mind blowing to see in person.

I originally signed up to your Patreon specifically for the full Lupe album reactions. So thank you for doing this one also, I know he isn't the easiest to breakdown but thank you for trying lol. I am still waiting on the Food and Liquor 2 album review tho. Much love and respect

jdisch10

Not only was it done in 3 days but he didn’t even write anything down for it

Maadhav

He did! All 4 of the Lupe ones

Rudra

I've never listened to a full Lupe Fiasco album before, that was fucking incredible

Chris

Listen to Food & Liquor, The Cool, and Tetsuo & Youth next! Asap lol.

Rudra

Food & Liquor has been on my list of albums to listen to for several months now but I just haven't gotten around to it lol

When Lupe talks about "spirit of Leopald" on Kiosk he is talking about King Leopald II of Belgium. He killed or maimed half the population of The Republic of Congo during his colonial reign over the country. Leopald ran The Congo as his own private land and extracted its wealth mainly rubber. If the natives missed their quotas then the military would make up for the missed quotas by collecting the hands of the people in the village.

Yo Jon can you react to one of Ariana Grandes Albums either thank u next or Sweetner think it would be good for you since you’ve only heard positions and huge singles of hers

stwish

Love the reaction! Was wondering if hiding places was still possibly on the table. (Sorry for pushing this request so much😅)
