For a while now, I've been experimenting with a 3D game-style look to portray some video game characters (and others I feel work better outside the 2D anime style).

This is the first experiment I've turned into a full set, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I hope you enjoy it too!

The look is different from what you're used to, but you'll find the same care, attention to detail and posing as in my usual work.

My anime style remains the core of what I do, and this is just a side experiment. Let me know if you'd like to see more!

Honestly, I'm really not a fan of this style. I prefer the anime style.

Galohub

Truth be told, my initial reaction was a bit mixed because it's so different from what you usually do. But damn... it actually looks super good, I wouldn't mind seeing more of this style!

Erron Black

I understand wanting to try a different style, but honestly, if I hadn't seen it on your page, I wouldn't even have recognized it as your work. The video game characters you've done in the past looked much better than they do in this style. There are plenty of video game characters I'd love to see you create, but not in this style.

SunriseEagle

Damn! I love it! I'm a new member but I didn't expect this sort of style. Certainly opens up the range of characters.

HyoombotAI

Haha, totally understandable reaction! I’m glad you still enjoyed this little experiment. Thanks for the feedback!

HyoombotAI

Exactly, Grace is probably the best example. In 2D, she risks becoming too generic, which is probably why you see her so rarely among AI creators. Anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed this attempt at exploring 3D CGI, and thanks for the feedback!

HyoombotAI

I completely understand, and that’s exactly why your feedback is so important to me!

Nounours187

To be completely honest, I'm not really a fan of 3D, I prefer the anime style. I might give it a chance later on, even if it's just for certain characters.

Nawaki

I mean it still looks good but I prefer the 2D anime style over 3D

HyoombotAI

Totally fair! Thanks for the honest feedback!

That Dood

This set came out great, I'd love to see more of Grace like this! 😍

HyoombotAI

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this!

Ardiu Eredeu

I like the 3d style. It fits better for some characters like this one.
