Hi dear friends. Welcome back to another weekly demo. In today’s video I show you how to draw a portrait using the loomis method. This time I put the focus a little more on the shading. However, shading isn’t good if the drawing lacks proper structure (in other words: planes). I found it a little difficult trying to shade the areas around the as there is another light bouncing back to the right side of the face. I was aware of but just didn’t want to spend more time on the drawing, so I decided to just omit it, which doesn’t really affect the overall feeling of the drawing.

I also didn’t want to go too dark as I was trying to make the video as short as possible. These types of realistic drawing take roughly 2 to 3hours. But I hope you will still find the demo interesting and insightful. Thanks so much for your support. We will meet in the next video❤️.
