Octopus Girl | Pencil & Ink drawing (Patreon)

I was scrolling through Pinterest for inspiration when I came across this reference photo. From that point I knew I had to replace her tongue with an octopus arm. I wanted to keep it as simple as possible, trying not to add many elements to the picture. I also had to improvise with the hair. I drew all that from imagination. I think you can learn a lot by simply ignoring the reference photo.

This is one of the few times I used INk and I really enjoyed the process this time. As you will see, I didn’t take risk adding more details as I wasn’t sure in which direction the drawing was going. But one thing is certain, I feel a lot more confident with my line drawing when using ink as I don’t have second chances lol. This is something I would highly recommend you if you want to improve your lines. Just try using ink. Of course you can draw some rough sketch with a pencil, just to get your ideas down, then switch to a pen.

As far as am concerned, my next drawings will probably be done using ink.
