Hello all!

Chapter Ten is on the way. I'm going through and implementing the choices into twine right now and then I plan to send it off to the editors. However, I might have to post some new positions soon for editors so be on the lookout for that if you are interested. A few positions have recently come open.

In chapter ten we are going to face the aftermath of that Lucinda moment and go into some of the paid shop keeps that came about during Kickstarter way back in book 1. There has been some really creative choices and I am so excited to share them with all of you. From there, we should only have about two or three chapters left and the book wip will be complete. Now, that being said, I have so much I want to add to this book. So. So. Much. When it finally does come out on Steam or to completion, there is going to be a lot more content. My vision for this book changed far too many times during the process that it is going to need a massive edit phase.

Now onto personal life. Feel free to skip.

I have spent the last year or so focusing on my family after the death of several people in our lives. For myself, I've gone through some mental health issues and not to mention everything that is going on in the States right now. There has been a lot of vitriol around us that has bogged me down just as I'm sure its bogged many of you down. It doesn't need to be said that it has been a lot.

Flashforward to now where our only car broke down. We currently are operating without a vehicle, and probably will for a long time because we simply don't have the money to afford one. My husbands job is precarious right now. Medical bills are taking a toll. Bla bla bla.

My point in this is I took time off to focus on my family. I thought by doing, this I would be able to create a space for me and my children that felt like home. That we could shut out the outside world if need be. I thought it would also help my mental health because I'd have a clean and organized environment. Past me was really hopeful. LOL

None of that really happened. I mean, my children are doing great which is always my priority, but putting Night Market on the backburner hasn't made me happy. It's made me very negative towards this project and myself. Which, I think is kind of a sign that what I'm doing isn't working so much. I'm messing around a bit with some schedule changes in my life to give me more time to write. I thought I could do it during the day while my kids played or something but for anyone that has heard stories of my daughter, that's not a lasting dream. :) Plus, I homeschool my two youngest children so my day is often times consumed trying to remember things I haven't touched in god knows how many years. All that being said, I want to rework my creative time. I want to finish up book 2 and do a MASSIVE edit on it. I want to write linear novels and feel like I'm telling all the stories I want to tell instead of just sitting with them. I want to find the passion I always dreamed of having and I want to do it in a way that fights back against the bullshit that we are experiencing. Privilege has given me a lot of opportunity that many others have not gained and it is silly of me to sit back.

I hope everyone is staying safe out there. I hope everyone is protecting themselves mentally and physically. I love you all.

I'm sorry you had to go through all that. It really is tough out here. We should all take time off when we can to recover from whatever negativity surrounds us. That negativity can't take our joy from us. It will always be there, waiting in one form or another. I wish everyone well!
