Hi friends,

Vangelis, pseudonym of Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou was a Greek composer and multi-instrumentalist.

Among his most acclaimed works are some soundtracks (such as those for the films Chariots of Fire, Blade Runner, Antarctica, Missing, 1492: Conquest of Paradise, Alexander, Bitter Moon and The Bounty), the soundtrack of the series Cosmos by Carl Sagan, as well as the song Hymne. He also composed the anthem for the 2002 Japan-South Korea World Cup.

It should be noted that Vangelis began composing at the age of 4 and is self-taught for most of his musical knowledge. He refuses to take lessons and has never had a basic knowledge of reading and writing musical notation.

The music of Himne is really beautiful so it was easy to compose this my fingerstyle arrangement.
