Fingerstyle Technique - Lesson 1 - Basic right hand technique (Patreon)

Throughout this first fingerstyle lesson, focus to use the crucial alternation between the fingers of the right (plucking) hand.

The alternation patterns generally used to play single string notes are i-m-i-m and m-i-m-i. 

That is really important for your skill.

I advice you to use a metronome to practice this exercise: at the beginning set the tempo to 60 bpm and then increase it. 

I recommend do not try to play so fast that you become sloppy in your technique. In fact speed is of secondary importance at this stage, the most important element of guitar technique in the beginning is accuracy.
