·  Hello friends, this lesson is for Patrons only, remember to download the PDF.

This fourth fingerstyle lesson is good for beginners and advanced guitarists.

I recommend you to use a metronome to practice this exercise: at the beginning set the tempo at 70 bpm or less for beginners and play 3 notes per beat, then increase it.

To increase your right hand speed follow these instructions:

· Memorize the sequence.

· Begin at 70 bpm or less if you are a beginner.

· Move the metronome up two units at a time until you reach a confortable speed.

· Push yourself two units faster, then slow back down one, over and over.

The alternation pattern I used to play this exercises is m-i-m i-m-i

I recommend do not try to play so fast that you become sloppy in your technique. In fact speed is of secondary importance at this stage, the most important element of guitar technique in the beginning is accuracy.

Good playing!
