- Hello friends, this lesson is for Patrons only.

With this series of lessons I want to teach you some new tricks about percussive guitar technique.

There are lots of way to hit the guitar to obtain this modern full effect so I’ll start here with the basic movement.

In this example I hit a single string with my right hand thumb, you can also hit two strings both, the effect is the same.

Good Playing!

Hi Nick! Am lovin your arpeggio book!!!!!

Alena Kotyzová

Hi Nick, Beautiful work from you for guitarist beginners. I'm excited. Thank you.

K Laughlin

Thanks Nico. On the last measure with the brush, is the X just muted with the left hand, no percussion ? Also, are you using some sort of electronic gizmo pickup on your nylon string guitar?

GuitarNick

Hi Kate, yes that is a muted string, no percussion. On this Yamaha NCX1200R I use the onboard ART 2-way pickup system (treble and bass side contact pickups) plus the external mic.

Merci pout ton travail. Impatient de voir le suivant
