Hi friends,

here is my new fingerstyle arrangement of this popular song by Cyndi Lauper.

I used some percussive techniques with "dead notes" in the first part but I in the second one I played the part "sweet".

Pay attention to the natural harmonics at the fifth fret.

Good playing!

Thanks Nick, I got that dead note :-) slowed down video not really clear on finger position on Tab. Harmonics are also a nice practise touch. I'm keeping up with your weekly tabs :-) Always looking forward to them. Stay healthy...... P.S What is the difference between a ghost note and a dead note?

Hi Rene, "Dead note" adds a slight snare drum sound to the note but you can't hear the original pitch of the note. It's only a percussive sound and I use this in the piece. "Ghost note" simulates a "struck-through" note (usually in the bass) and you can hear the original pitch but at a very low volume. This is used in the "thumbpicking" style or Chet Atkins style. I use the name "ghost" notes for both the effect.

Hi Nick! Could you please transcribe a few minor parts I think are missing? 1) the line "time after" right before restarting at the beginning with "Sometimes you pictured me I'm walking too far ahead..." 2) that small variation on the chorus when Cindy sings "I'll be be waiting" a bit higher? Thank you

Hi Fellipe, I sent you by email the little chorus at the end of the song. About the #1 those are the same notes of the melody, it seems her repeats twice the same part.
