Hi friends,

here is my fingerstyle arrangement of "Smile", the popular song based on an instrumental theme used in the soundtrack for Charlie Chaplin's 1936 film Modern Times.

"Smile" has become a popular standard since its original use in Chaplin's film and has been recorded by numerous artists: Nat King Cole, Judy Garland, Michael Jackson.

Rene Thank you for the link I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Nat King Coles rendition. I got the lyrics and now thanks to Nicks tabs I can play this with more emotion. Didnt know it was such a tear jerker.

I heard you play this and thought, ‘I’ve no chance’, but I gave it a go and played it all through with just a few fingering errors - I am so chuffed. It’s thanks to you and all the practise pieces you give us.
