Patreon Link Mark 2 (Patreon)
Content
Hey Guys,
I don't want to have to be "that guy", but I'm going to hold off putting out codes this month for a bit because I need feedback on Patreon link. Look, every other site uses a similar link to allow Patreon content on their respective sites. This is even how my site did it for up until two years ago. I only changed it because Patreon's native link plugin was too restrictive to my needs.
Even the Patreon official plugin does not work for everyone, but 9/10 times, it was the user. You'd be using a phone from 1998 or a web browser no one has ever heard of and then wondering why its not working.
Please try to use the Patreon link in my membership. If it doesn't work the first time, unlink, and then relink. You should have Patreon open, signed in to the correct account, and on another tab in your browser. Click, link, and then unlink and relink if it didn't work the first time.
If you have no membership on my site, we're still fixing that. For now, just go to register like you're creating an account for the first time. Click paypal as the payment method, and when it sends you to paypal, don't pay. Just close it all out, reopen/refresh my site, and you should be able to go to my membership which will be marked as pending.
If it doesn't work, try a different browser. Refresh. Yadda yadda. If you're getting an error, or it still doesn't work, then please report what is happening. If you send me a report, please tell me what tier you have. I will send you the code for that tier and you can regain access the old fashioned way. If I'm getting dozens of errors, I'll probably just throw the code back up in a day or two. If it's working for all but 1-2 of you, well, I want to know that too.
Sincerely,
Whatsawhizzer
P.S. I feel I should add/complain that Patreon members wanted this. This was the #1 thing complained about over and over again in my surveys. "Use a code monthly... uggh... why can't I just click a button and sign in like I do with all the other sites?" This cost $2000 to do... it has been, 100%, the most expensive addition I've ever done to my site, even the app I had someone build (currently not working, I suppose no surprise there) was less. Just saying...
And for anyone wondering why I'm complaining and whining about my problems to my own fanbase, Haha... welcome to me being back to fulltime. You guys never got the full Whatsawhizzer experience. You'll have to ask my veteran fans if you want to know what's coming. Ahhh...this will be fun.
