To be honest, a month or two ago, I wasn't sure I'd make it this year. I was really struggling to keep up the momentum. But these last two weeks, my writing's really surged and suddenly, here we are! Two hundred thousand words written. It still feels like a worthy achievement.

In the case of 2025, the wordage is largely split between:

Constant, Book 6: 56k words

Who Made the Lamb: 30k words (to date)

Constant, Book 5: roughly 90k words in 2025

Unnamed Hallmark Style Story (AKA Trapped in Amber): 22k words to date.

Last year, I hit the 200k threshold on 23rd of November, so I'm trailing about a week behind. On the other hand, I've also got a lot more momentum going right now, and so remain hopeful that I'll crush last year's record (214k). I know it's not all about word count. But there's still a real sense of accomplishment, reaching these numbers, arbitrary or not.

Anyway, just to reiterate my last post: thank you, again, all of you who've support my writing. I honestly don't think I'd reach these landmarks without you.

'But there's still a real sense of accomplishment, reaching these numbers, arbitrary or not.' Hey as a species, were obsessed by getting to numberws. Two of the three biggest days of the year are just about counting arbitrary laps of the sun, and really Christmas is not that much different. So compared to those, reaching a number you set for yourself as a goal is less arbitrary and much more celebration worthy. So congratulations, you've earned the right to have a smug grin for a bit. Enjoy it :D
