Xbox Series X just went up $100 to $600, Xbox Series S just went up $80 to $430, and Xbox games will soon cost $80. Why are the prices increasing, will they ever come back down, and how will it impact software sales going forward?

Watched an IGN podcast yesterday about the Xbox price increase. The hosts said they didn’t want to get into politics, so they blamed the price increase on Xbox-Microsoft moguls. Most of the responses agreed with them. And thus Trump got away unscathed. Infuriating. I seriously doubt Microsoft would have increased the price of the Xbox had it not been for the tariffs. The IGN hosts were cowards, unlike our beloved Michael Pachter :)

To be fair. IGN and its parent company have probably mandated that IGN's hosts can't talk about politics in the content. That said, blaming the price increases on something that doesn't make any sense is not a great alternative.
