It's time to record just the third round of Pachter Factor episodes for 2026! In prior years without Pachter Factor Live we would be at the sixth or seventh set of episodes for the year! We need your help, people! Our YouTube audience has really been pulling the cart on questions for pretty much this entire year. It would be awesome to see our patrons take charge once again! Pachter Factor Live takes a lot of topics off the table because it's so timely, so please try to focus on questions that will still be relevant weeks from now. They'll have a much better chance of making it into our episodes that we shoot in-person. That's not to say that you can't ask timely questions, too! There are plenty of topics!

The RAM shortage crisis continues to cause havoc across the world, PlayStation announced that it's killing physical games and fans have been going after PlayStation ever since! Video game films and TV shows just keep being announced week after week, the more young people use AI the more they hate it, Xbox is still considering console exclusivity for its games on Project Helix, we still have no clue when PlayStation 6 or Project Helix will launch, the entire industry looks like it's teetering on the brink of collapse, Resident Evil remakes absolutely destroy all other remakes in sales, there's still a lot of uncertainty around Arkane Lyon and its Blade video game, Xbox just announced a new form of backwards compatibility on PC, rumors are swirling about a Switch 2 OLED model, a new, repairable version of Switch 2 is coming to Europe, it's been reported that PlayStation accounts for 80 percent of all AAA game sales, and so much more!

This is just a small sample of everything that's going on in the industry right now. It's truly a perfect time to get inside the mind of Michael Pachter! He's here to answer your questions about all of it! Here's a link to a more thorough refresher of all the big stories from the last month:

The Biggest Stories from the Last Month

If you ask a question every time or have been contributing questions since the show launched thank you so much! It would be great to see some new or lapsed faces get off the sidelines and ask Pach a question! Thank you!

Hey Pach -- what are some of the most memorable video game industry moments you have been present at and why? 599 US Dollars? Kinect shoe? Wii U reveal?

Roger

Hello Pach fellow baby, what would you do in the first few months or year if you would be the head (or the adviser) of the GOG store? Would you take on Steam or would you take the Nintendo approach and focus more on classics?

Roger

Hello Pach, how do we know how Epic Store is doing? Are they making a profit? Are users and customers growing?

Roger

Dear Pach, when Sony stops producing physical discs, do you think this can be an opportunity for other companies? Maybe they can produce games on discs and sell them to whoever wants it? Are they allowed to?

NeO JD

Pach, Do you have any new insight as to what Asha plans to do with Project Helix? Is the rumored PC style going to be open and have other storefronts like Steam? Could they lock it down to where it only allows purchases from the Xbox store? Do you think they will fully commit to exclusives again and make games like the new Fallout, Fallout remakes, and even Elder Scrolls 6 Helix exclusives or Xbox store only exclusives? Thanks. Hope all is well.
