It's time to record the final round of Pachter Factor episodes for 2026! If you've been sitting on a question waiting to ask all year now is the time to submit it! Our YouTube audience has really been pulling the cart on questions for pretty much this entire year. It would be awesome to see our patrons and subscribers take charge of the show once again! Pachter Factor Live takes a lot of topics off the table because it's so timely, so please try to focus on questions that will still be relevant weeks from now. They'll have a much better chance of making it into these episodes that we shoot in-person. That's not to say that you can't ask timely questions, too! There are plenty of topics!

Grand Theft Auto VI is about to be released. This is your last chance to ask him for predictions! Hideo Kojima's upcoming projects struggled to find a publisher, PlayStation is reconsidering killing physical games, Marvel's Wolverine looks like it might be a financial flop, Xbox is still considering console exclusivity for its games on Project Helix, Xbox Reset Part 2 just happened with more layoffs to come, Blizzard just announced a new StarCraft shooter instead of an RTS, there's a recent push to force console manufacturers to create new, repairable versions of their hardware, one of the biggest remakes of all time (Ocarina of Time) is about to test the limits of how well old games can sell in 2026, a new Uncharted is reportedly in development, it's been reported that PlayStation accounts for 80 percent of all AAA game sales, video game films and TV shows just keep being announced week after week, and so much more!

This is just a small sample of everything that's going on in the industry right now. It's truly a perfect time to get inside the mind of Michael Pachter and your last chance for 2026! He's here to answer your questions about all of it! Here's a link to a more thorough refresher of all the big stories from the last month:

The Biggest Stories from the Last Month

If you ask a question every time or have been contributing questions since the show launched thank you so much! It would be great to see some new or lapsed faces get off the sidelines and ask Pach a question! Thank you!

I for once have a question. With the recent success of Dress Maker on Steam and the historical success of games like Animal Crossing and The Sims, why don't we see more AAA publishers and developers make games targeted at a relatively large but underserved female audience.

Capcom is a company that has seen rises and falls over the years. But for the last few years, it seems to be on a run of successful game, both critically and sales-wise. Can you share your insights into some of the factors that have led to this success, and into whether the Japanese fiscial environment and gaming development scene is a contributing factor?

Darthirv

Hey Pach! Do you have any general insight into estimates of profit margins of the Big 3? For example, if Xbox has lower revenue than PS (which is almost certainly true), has their margin been better than PS over the last decade due to some of their cost saving initiatives?

NeO JD

Thoughts on GameStop selling used PS5s for higher than new units? How much of this has to do with the recent console hacks? Or is it more to do with GTA VI hype? Do you think PS is dropping the ball on the number of PS5 units available going into the GTA VI release and the holiday?

The Diddler

Hey Pach, simple question: Where do you predict Sony will be in 5 years? Still on top? Struggling? Do you think they finally get a games as a service to take off?
