Here we are at the end of 2022! It's been a topsy turvy year and Pach is here to put the lid on it. While you should feel free to ask him about his predictions for 2023, a lot of things have happened since we last asked you for questions. The price of PlayStation VR2 has been announced, The Game Awards nominees have been shared, it looks like the FTC is going to block the Xbox/Activision acquisition, Marvel and EA signed a massive deal, The Callisto Protocol is putting death animations behind a season pass, some of the year's biggest games have just released, PlayStation Plus has lost two million subscribers since it was revamped, and so much more!

If you'd like a quick refresher of the biggest news from the past month click here.

As always, remember to ask questions that are relevant now and some that will still be interesting a few weeks from now. Feel free to leave your questions in the comment section below. Thank you so much for taking the time. Without your questions there is no Pachter Factor!

Hey Pach! There's been a lot of noise recently about the MS/Activ deal. Are you still confident it's getting approved? The current stock price seems to assume a smaller and smaller chance of success.

Pach, with the recent COD only having an unlock key on the physical disc version, is this a sign that physical releases are going away faster than anticipated? Do you think at this point the next generation of consoles will be digital only?

Pachman, What is the true strategy for Game Pass? In a recent interview Phil Spencer said Game Pass made up “15 Percent” of their overall “Content & Services” revenue. He also said that whilst he expects overall revenue to grow, Game Pass will still only make up about 15 Percent of this revenue. What do you think of that number? Is it too low, too high or just about right? I’ve been sitting here thinking that Microsoft’s model for Xbox is built around Game Pass becoming their dominant source of revenue. Is Phil telling porky pies about its potential? Cheers,

Hey Pach! I hope you and your family have a happy holiday season! Skill Based matchmaking has always been a sore spot for gamers, but recently a lot of top streamers said they weren't going to stream Call of Duty because of Skill Based matchmaking. Is this a sign that game companies don't see top streamers as worth catering to any more? What will game companies do to promote their game if they won't rely on streamers going forward?

Hey Pach! I hope you and your family have a happy holiday season! Recently the president of SNK stated that they have a plan to become one of the top 10 game publishers in the world, with their goal being at least as large as Capcom. Do you think this is a realistic goal? SNK's recent releases haven't been bad, but they're also not 5+ million sellers.

Now that it looks like Xbox and Activision deal is more than likely going to pass since it passed in Brazil and showing strong momentum what is Sony/playstation next big move. Do u see cod on ps systems passed 10 years? Microsoft already admitted that playstation 1st party games are better the theirs, do u see Sony pushing harder and releasing more a year or do u see Xbox great comeback from all the studios they bought?

Where's Xbox VR? Will Meta and Microsoft make a meaningful collaboration after announcing Xcloud 2D on Quest 2?

Hello Pach, your thoughts on a publisher like Ubisoft releasing a new game plus mode for a price of $20 a year after a games release? Feels somewhat like the prices for a game have doubled considering the game ($70 and a season pass are $100) for the full game.
