Hey everyone!

We'd like to publish an episode of Ask Shane Anything every week, but we need more questions to make it happen! Remember, you can ask him ANYTHING. It doesn't have to be related to video games, though those questions work too. So ask away. Shane has led a crazy life, and if you haven't been able to tell yet, has an opinion on almost everything. Hi Shane - Any thoughts on Phil Spencer's chat with the Kinda Funny team during their interview? I'm a little confused as to what is Xbox's strategy is moving forward. From what I understood, Microsoft seemed to have let Arkane do their thing with Redfall and didn't really engage with them enough during development to address the bugs at launch. Also, their stance is that developing great games isn't enough to address the growing lead that Sony and Nintendo has on them seems to be in conflict with their strategy of acquiring studios and IP. What is the point of getting this huge catalog if not to have great games under your belt? Phil seemed to have a defeatist attitude during that talk and sounded like the recent issues at Microsoft may have been a lot at that point, but the current gen is still new and the race is far from over.

Hey there Shane, if this is too personal please feel free to ignore. I wanted to ask when you and your wife decided that you weren't going to have children? Was it something that you both knew from back when you were dating or did you end up deciding upon it much later? You've spoken a lot about having nieces and nephews - do you think that your feelings about not having kids would have changed if you were an only child?

Hey Shane. Hope the surgery went well. Thought I’d keep it light this time and pick your brain in a different way. I want to see you come up with an original party for an RPG. How many members will the team have? What is each person’s background? What is their color scheme? What are their powers? And what order do you acquire them in? Anything goes. Have fun with it.

Hey Shane. I have never played the Last of Us but I would like to in the near future. I can download the PS4 remaster for free because of PS Plus or I can pay for the PS5 remake. What version do you think I should play? (For context, money is not an issue but I don’t want to pay for something that I can already play for free).
