Mary Poppins Collection - Exclusive

"Winds in the east, mist coming in, like somethin’ is brewin’ and 'bout to begin. Can't put me finger on what lies in store, but I feel what's to happen all happened before."

Another brand new, originally designed set of Patreon exclusive posters, this time for one of mine and my kids' favourites, Mary Poppins. As you’ll have seen from my LOTR set, I love drawing inspiration from beautiful book cover designs, and I wanted to do the same here. I tried to capture some of the elegant style seen on various editions over the years, but with my own twist, making sure to include little details from the movies within the design.

This one took quite a while to complete, but I wanted to take my time to perfect it and pack in as many little touches as possible without overwhelming the overall look. From Mary Poppins floating in the sky, to the pigeons, Bert riding the merry-go-round horse, and the silhouette of London in the background, I really wanted them to have that old-timey London vibe, while still being bright, vibrant, and fun. Hopefully, I found a nice balance.

Enjoy,Chris (DIIIVOY)
