General query to all members, free and pledged. What sites/platforms do you use to find out about new posters being shared, either by me or other designers you use?

I was asked a while ago why I don't post on Reddit anymore, which I used to do regularly whenever I was uploading posters to TPDb, but you know, Reddit gonna Reddit, and it's got a lot of "fun" people who like to complain for the sake of complaining, plus the whole Brooklynman neon-gate soured it for me (if you know you know). So I basically gave up on the platform and now only use it seldomly just to help out users asking questions, but if it means a wider reach I'm thinking about jumping back in (god help me) and I want to expand my reach as much as possible, as I'm sure there are many folks who download my posters on TPDb that don't know about my Patreon and all the awesome exclusive content (biased).

But while going back and forth about it I got to wondering about other platforms you guys might use, at the moments whenever I add new posters to Patreon an email should inform you about the new posters (well,l it should anyway), and I also post in the poster-gallery channel on TPDb discord. But are there any other platforms you use that you think might be worth posting?

I have Instagram but that's really for my client-based work and I want to keep that separate, maybe I can start a separate account for Patreon stuff...

I've suggested to N3rd (theposterdb dev) to add a way of sharing exclusive posters on TPDb but keep them locked and thumbnails watermarked, but who knows if or when something like that would be implemented.

So please let me know what you use. Maybe you feel you already get all the relevant info with what I post to now. I've added a multiple-choice poll, but feel free to drop a comment with more details and any new suggestions.

Thanks,Chris (DIIIVOY)

I use both the Patreon app notifications in conjunction with the emails 👍🏻

I have favorited publishers on the PosterDB and when I log in it tells me what new things have been uploaded by them.

I also scrape that for my RSS so I don’t have to go to the page that much

I have you favourited on TPDb and when something you add then i know about it. Recently i started using mediux.pro for content from other artist. I suggest you to look at it. It’s nice site. For me personaly it’s better than TPDb because it has also title card with matching posters.

I still sub to Tpdb but mainly use it for making requests to a specific designer. Day to day I now mainly use Mediux primarily because of their integration with Kometa where I can click on a poster/set and copy and past the YAML into a file but also for their title card support. Kometa then deals with downloading, organising and applying the posters on Plex. Huge time saver compared to when I had to do it manually on TPDb. Most designers whose posters I use tend to post on both nowadays but as you don't post on there I currently try and look out for emails from Patreon for your MCU/DC Banner sets and Disney stuff.
