Memory Rebuilding (Patreon)

As I told you some months ago, I’ve been thinking about the next game for a while. It has an official name now: Memory Rebuilding.

With all the doctor’s visits we’ve had over the past few weeks (for both my wife and me), I've made some progress on the game’s design. I’ve written the intro and some introductory scenes for a few of the characters. But I needed more to continue. I needed to know who the characters are. I needed them to ‘talk’ to me.

So, taking advantage of my bad mood and not wanting to write a wholesome update for My Dorm in that state (six doctor visits in the last eight business days, including a painful dentist appointment for me), I finally designed the game’s interface.

I think it’s amazing. It has everything that was good in My Dorm’s interface (agnostic gallery, profile screens, save naming, etc.), but I have also added some new and different things. A non-canon image gallery, optional customized fonts for the characters’ names (as you can see in the MC’s profile), customized names for all the starting LIs, a centralized place to change choices (MC’s profile), etc.

I wanted to share some of the screenshots with you, so you can start to get to know the girls and the MC.

Don’t ask me when it will be ready. It will take a while since I don’t want the development of MR to impact MD’s updates (too much). My idea is to get some updates ready (working on it sporadically) for when My Dorm is almost finished. I plan to release the last updates of My Dorm intercalated with Memory Rebuilding updates. Imagine My Dorm will end in v.0.50 (an arbitrary number). The latest releases would be like:

It will depend on how much Memory Rebuilding content I have developed when the final updates of My Dorm come around. It can be an update before the epilogue or several of them. I insist that the plan is for Memory Rebuilding not to impact My Dorm’s releases. I will only work on MR when I can’t work on MD.
